  • Hey everyone, it's Mystic here! Had to hop onto Pinstar's account since I can't yet post links on my new @MysticLegacy account. Just made a quick post regarding how the Sims 4 Triple Boost Week will affect the Challenges that we have written. Each challenge has its own rule regarding how this boost can be used!…
  • Hiya, this is Mystic from the Legacy website :) Yes, premades are allowed as long as they don't bring in money. In order to ensure that they don't bring in money it's best to make sure they are coming from a household with more than one person living in it. You could use premades from the gallery or even townies from the…
  • The Legacy Challenge Rules have been updated for The Sims 4 Get Together! http://www.simslegacychallenge.com/legacy-challenge-rules-updated-for-get-together/
  • Hey everyone! We have a post up on the Legacy Challenge website and a video up on Mystic's Youtube channel regarding the upcoming changes to the Legacy Challenge rules for when Get Together releases. You can read the post at…
  • Hi guys! This is ImaginingMystic (Pinstar's wife) posting on behalf of Pinstar while he is at work. For those of you wondering about when the new "Jealous" trait will be added, our programmer added it to the generators as of this morning! http://www.simslegacychallenge.com/random-trait-generators-updated-to-include-jealous/
  • Does your matriarch have to be a stock CAS-created sim or can you use one who had her childhood played?
  • The Legacy Challenge has been updated to 1.00! Now with rulings for Ghost Sims. Check it out here: simslegacychallenge.com/legacy-challenge-rules-update-1-00/http://
  • The Legacy Challenge rules have been updated to version 0.96. Check them out here! http://www.simslegacychallenge.com/legacy-challenge-rules-update-0-96/
  • The core Legacy Challenge rules have been updated to version 0.95. Read about the changes here: http://www.simslegacychallenge.com/legacy-challenge-version-0-95-rules-update/
  • Thank you for beating me to posting this. Please do check out the proposed change and place your vote. I value feedback from players of the challenge.
  • For now, I'm ruling them as acceptable since you can obtain similar items in game even if you don't have them and their effects are not disgustingly overpowered. If someone can demonstrate a "Disgustingly Overpowered" use for them, I may change my ruling, but that is the rule as it stands now.
  • You are allowed one use of a youth-restoring object per sim, now might be the time to use one on her (if you haven't already)
  • Referring to all spouses. The game generates random "townie" sims with completely random clothing, aspirations and traits. These sims show up on community lots but have no physical presence in the game. It is from among these townies that you must draw your spouses. As townies grow old and die, the game automatically…
  • I'm LOVING the bills. Makes the Legacy Challenge harder in a natural and organic way. The higher you climb, the steeper the hill gets.
  • You must move into one of the two residential 50x50 lots. There is one in each neighborhood, and my intro video shows which lots they are exactly. https://youtube.com/watch?v=H7pzJWTumls
  • That is the danger of strict matriarchy/patriarchy. Pretty much any of the "Strict" succession laws are going to be a bit harder than their non-strict counterparts, but that just makes for more drama which is always good for storytelling :)
  • Absolutely! The rules will give you very specific instructions on how to get started AND I will be doing a youtube video to demonstrate it in game just so there is no confusion.
  • The lot itself costs you 10k. There is a specific set of armor you must purchase and place in your family inventory. This acts as your "Title" A sort of coat-of-arms if you will. You can never remove that armor from inventory, nor may you sell it. It does drop you down to proper poverty levels. I tested that with the…
  • SPANDRELS! I *love* spandrels. I don't know why but it is what I've always wanted in build mode. I used the heck out of them to build the Masque manor and their theater and will use them a great deal more. LOVE them.
  • Lady Cheshire had a toilet in her inspiration room and took many a dump while inspired. Sadly there is no inspired toilet use. However, she was able to admire art while on the can.
  • Having played it at Creator's Camp, here are my five 1. Multi-tasking. This tickles both my storytelling and strategy gamer senses. Setting up rooms to play off of how multi-tasking works and seeing actions that you didn't think would work together work together opens up new possibilities. That and things that would be a…
  • Speaking from a *pure* gameplay advantage standpoint, #2 is probably your best bet to keep happy. Her bonus to romantic interactions from her aspirations will help secure a spouse sooner which will bring in that much-needed influx of cash AND the 2nd generation sooner. And with romance being harder in TS4, that bonus to…
  • Part of my design philosophy this time around was to make tracking the points a bit easier than previous incarnations. I did as much trimming down as I could without sacrificing the heart and complexity of the challenge. I'll let you guys be the judge of how well I succeeded in that task come Thursday when I post the…
  • I've got a late entry for you. Name: Mausea Twitchford Age: 25 Career: Astronaut - Save the World! Aspiration: Nature - The Curator - Collector Traits: Active, Cheerful, Clumsy Character Background: After having a vivid dream of the earth being threatned by a gigantic comet and her blasting off into space to destroy it…
  • If one gets bored with the 'normal' game, try a challenge. After the Legacy Challenge I'll be writing new ones for the game to keep things fresh and interesting.
  • Low quality objects can (but not always) leave your sims with a + 1 uncomfortable moodlet that lasts for several hours. +1 uncomfortable by itself is trivial and pretty easy to overcome with a more positive emotion. The problem is that all uncomfortable moodlets, regardless of their source, build on each other in strength…
  • Just tossing in a suggestion: Tag your Legacy Challenge homes (and families) with #LegacyChallenge so your fellow Legacy Challenge players can find them easily! My personal take on Legacy Home building is based on the personality of whomever is in charge of the family at the time. What rooms I focus on, what gets the most…
