Do you think the game will get boring over time?

Since there were beyond many amazing features removed from the game, what will there be to do besides just raise a family or build a house? Yeah I'm sure that the game will be super fun in the beginning (I bought the pre-order so I'm hoping it's good), but what about later into the game? I don't think expansions will be coming out any time soon, too. All I can think of to do with the game is make a great house (which will eventually become boring since there's no create-a-style; therefore no creativity or variety, leading to many similar houses and furniture styles.) The only other thing I can think of is to make generations and generations of sims, but that would eventually get boring since it would get so repetitive. Of course there may be really fun things that I'm not aware of since the game hasn't even been released yet, but I really can't think of anything very fun to do for a long time in the game.

It wouldve for me if I was buying the game because from all the videos I have seen and posts I have read MY style of gameplay is gone... I would probably play for a few days... maybe a week tops but I wouldve gotten over it...

The Sims is only as fun as your imagination. You have to make the game fun over time. Change it up from emotions and being rich or having many ex-girlfriend causing drama I don't know. Go crazy!

Every game gets boring for me over time.
The sims 3 is one of the few to bore me out quicker due to the lack of inspiring gameplay. Hoping TS4 is better than that.

Same here! Most of everything I like to do in the game just isn't really there anymore. Plus, all the trailers and pictures show basically the same things we've been seeing for the passed few months which gives me the impression that there won't be so much to do.

The whole series is like that. Roaring Heights and the roller coaster added zero fun. The performing arts center added zero fun. Pick and choose your expansions wisely based on how YOU play.

Everything gets boring over time. The question is how short or long that amount of time is.

I think Sims 3 was the best in my opinion. Even though there were so many glitches and bugs and constant crashing, there were so many aspects and aesthetic features to the game that made me love it so much!

TS3 base was painfully boring but judging from the game play videos TS4 won't bore me out as fast. It has lots more to do and appears to run more smoothly.

@simsluvr90 Just curious, but what was your style of gameplay? Mine's was staying in the realm of reality with a rare amount of supernatural occurences.

Depends. I like legacies and gardening. If the gardening is schmick, then I could play for ages. If it's linear and meh, then not.

Either way, I'm waiting before purchasing.

It did have those charms, but there were a lot of disappointments in the first few expansions which made me give up 1/3 through.

I think No, the possibilities are endless in the game. I'm sure their will be an expansion pack coming soon after the release...

    Thats exaclt it....haha

I rasied families and kept it as normal as ever which for some people may seem boring but that is my escape from my hectic life... also I could do things like own horses in the game and have a nice house...

RARELY did I ever do something odd. And if I did do something odd it was something like "guy cheats and has baby with another person" GASP! haha

I couldn't watch more than 10 minutes of the video. I just kept skipping through it to see if there was anything that really interested me, but there wasn't much.
CASt was one of the greatest features of TS3. It allowed SO much variety and creativity throughout any home or with any outfit. I don't know how I played Sims 2 without that lol.
I think they didn't add pools because there would have to be so much more work done to the game with animations and emotions and such, just for the pool. Hopefully it will come as soon as possible.

Any sim game is limited merely by the player's imagination. I found a million ways to entertain myself in TS3 base game, the same in TS2's base game. I'm sure I will find no end of fun in TS4's base game as well.

The beauty of the Sims is that it's all up to you.

So you're saying that style of play may be gone in the Sims 4?

I got bored with TS3 sometimes, but I think it was my lack of imagination more than the game. I went through periods when I wasn't feeling creative or whatever. Then I'd take a break and come back with enthusiasm and new ideas. So yeah, I'm sure I'll get bored and then get excited about it again!

All games eventually bore me. All of the sims did too. Luckily(and unluckily) Sims is a DLC machine, so there is always new content
    What'd you just say??

If one gets bored with the 'normal' game, try a challenge. After the Legacy Challenge I'll be writing new ones for the game to keep things fresh and interesting.

I loved raising toddlers and going to the park with them... when they brought strollers in TS3 I was so excited haha. My husband even says my gameplay is boring haha but I could care less if I was a rocket scientist... even my sims had normal jobs! haha It seems there are less normal jobs (I could be wrong but well see) and its more for outrageous stuff instead of simple gameplay
