ah yeah, I def wouldn't put an insane amount for fear of lag but... maybe a little here and there for a just, over grown, weed effect might look cool. It's hard to not go overboard with the vegetation when trying to get a realistic effect! grr lol :XD:
I thought that looked like a recoloring of brambles! Haha, very nice! I really like the long, uncut grass look... I might just have to look into stealing that idea! Haha  Looks awesome though, , nice textures!
Haha no problamo, amigo! The fall semester doesn't start for another week and a half so, I've got a lot of down time... and had looots of free time this morning, so I made that mini tutorial. I doubt it's good enough to be its own thread or whatever though, but thanks :XD: I'll def be around to try out your next version,…
You're asking if your dirt road, which connects to the dark paved road; if it is considered one whole road or two separate roads? I mean, I suppose that would be up to you. I consider road to be separate when they are divided by a Road Intersection. But that is just me, your shape is fine, it's just like a large loop,…
Hahahaha! Okay well regarding the palm tree, what do you mean stuck there? Have you tried going into your World Layers and finding the tree in there? If you right click on the items in the layers in which you have your trees, you can click 'Find in Render Panel' which selects that item with a box around it, then enabling…
Also, consider using distant terrains! They help block the surrounding ocean to make your town look landlocked! Here is a tutorial I got from the CAW FAQ thread that is stickied at the top of the first page! http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/417466.page Check out that thread, it teaches you how to place Distant…
Hey AHENRICHs, So I don't have a whole lot of time tonight to do major testing, because I'm shleepy, :XD:, but I did load up your world and look around some at what you've got going so far! Alright so... You made it clear you are aware of many of the current issues... so it was kinda hard deciding what needs to be pointed…
Hi! From what I can tell, your 'cliffs' are just way too steep! They are like complete vertical walls! What you should do first, is smooth them over to give you more horizontal space. I would smooth the upper region on the wall so that it doesn't deform the flat land you have closer to the base of your cliffs where your…
Ah perfect! Thanks, I'm gonna try this out! Like you had originally posted, I only have issues with CAW crashing when I paint. Hope it works, or at least lowers the amount of crashes so I don't have to save every 30 seconds! Haha
Hi :D Here is the link from the FAQ thread stickied at the top of this forum: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=441595 Click on that link, and follow the different directions to see if any of this might fix your problem. Based on what you said, when you click on the modthesims link I gave you, look under Make the…
Mine is crashing a lot now when I use terrain paints... After painting a good bit, one paint will suddenly cover my entire world and CAW will crash. But if I only paint, etc, a liiiittle bit, then save, paint a little, save, it won't (or I should say hasn't) crashed. Plus yo no tengo CC in-game at all so, I don't know…
You're salty shores district is coming along great! Nice job :-) But I have a question: Those signs/bill boards in some of the new pictures you posted, are they the new changing ones from Showtime? If so, could you tell me what they are called in the Metadata? I haven't explicitly gone looking for them yet, but it'd just…
I have the exact same opinion as you, Remmo. I have no interest in this expansion pack regarding all the silly little fantasy things (even the vampires from LN annoy me) BUT I'm most likely still going to buy it, mainly for the items and such for building :-)
Cool world but I won't ever download it, you seem rude and I've noticed you trying to advertise your world on other people's threads. That just seems tacky. And as for your previous comment about making someone else fix a problem YOU caused because you were trying to advertise in her thread due to the fact you don't have…
Aaah looks real good! It's only a 30 min drive and with half my friends living down there, I go all the time! I've wanted to download a world modeled after it, but none referenced it well enough that I've found, just the style! Love how you are covering all the different areas! Headed to Audubon this weekend actually…
Harold: Thanks! I didn't mean to make you go out of your way to find something... I'm just unsure of which downloads work, and which don't. Was more-so hoping to find out a sure fire download option that would def work, but I'll try yours out since you went through the effort! Appreciated! *Update: That download didn't…
Ah I love your world!! The Dinosaur theme is so unique - I was shocked too when I found the old dino thing in Appaloosa Plains. Haha - I love how quaint your world is though. I was looking at a thread earlier today and the kid easily flooded his world with 1,000+ trees and it was just too busy. Did you do the sculpting…
Have you checked out this thread? http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/181739.page There are links to all sorts of textures to down load, you might find something you like there? Hope that helps! :-)
Writin_Reg, So if I have been working on a world that would include highrise-type buildings... has my project been ruined now? I would definitely prefer to use my own built highrises (I'm working on a city-ish type world) but EA's shells just looks so much nicer, detailed, and realistic compared to anything we could build…
Question! - So are you guys saying that there are lags and freezes if you play, say, Bridgeport and you have a pet? Or at least in a high rise building? I bought the expansion pack when it came out but haven't put much time into playing it with school and work... I'm just wondering if this is a problem with a prebuilt…
 Wooow I agree with everyone - your sculpting and painting skills are phenomenal!! Very, very impressive. This looks amazing, I hope you update it with more pictures as you design more of it :D
