I don't hate the content of the laundry pack itself, but I think it should have been included in parenthood rather than being a standalone stuff pack. Also it was selected as part of the community vote, and in my opinion the other potential themes were a far more interesting addition than laundry. "Dangerous Stuff" would…
I have 10.8GB and I suspect it's starting to slow my game down a lot, currently going through the process of whittling it down too. For reference I do not have a gaming laptop, nor apparently do I have impulse control when it comes to mods.
@Nindigo Hey, sorry I think you may have misunderstood my comment! I was saying I haven't had any issues with Caleb so far, but I have had similar problems with Aliens once they age up.
I don't know about Caleb, but I know there is an issue with alien faces becoming distorted once they age up, so this could be a life states issue. Caleb has a family in my games and none of his kids have got the weird eyes; they all seem to have taken after their mother.
I was seriously considering it at one point, but my priorities have changed massively over the past 3-4 years of playing the sims. I still play a lot, but I always find that there is something else I'd much rather put the price of a gaming laptop towards from holidays to just good old saving. My laptop runs the sims 4 fine…
@rosemow @crinrict So I haven't yet got round to trying out you guys' suggestions, but I made some changes in game which so far seem to have fixed it. First, I redesigned the police station so that everything was spaced out more, and with a lot less clutter. Secondly I turned off the autonomy on one specific mod, which I…
Exactly, the only command that works for an hour is reset DEBUG. Otherwise if I give him a command, even to have him teleport inside the building rather than interacting directly with it's objects, he stays put. The odd thing is, the NPC's are all already in the building, but I've noticed that a lot of them start kind of…
@Vraie That makes sense, in my main save I have 5 families of vampires, all of whom are played. I do get break ins in community lots which result in feedings but never home lots.
I only get lag if I'm running a lot of other programs at the same time. The only time when I had lag without running lots of other stuff, it turns out that I just had a mod which needed updating. Sometimes the initial load screen can take a while but after that, the game runs pretty well for me.
May or may not end up being related but did anyone else get a notification on origin for a content patch yesterday that didn't download ? Had it around 2am GMT
You can disallow CC on townies with sims 4 studio. They still get horrendous generated outfits but at least I don't see any random townies swimming with massive fairy wings on anymore.
We had cars in the sims 2 which didn't have open world, and they worked fine; carpools added a nice touch for careers and going to school. In terms of cars just adding to travel time, think of it like vampires with vampiric run; the travel time is cut slightly shorter because they run quicker to the "exit points" of the…
I didn't say it was a stuff pack anywhere. But I should have clarified, laundry would have fit well for parenthood because it would have given the kids a chore to be influenced to do, and also a place where kids and toddlers could make a mess , (playing in, or messing up laundry). I personally think it's a little silly to…
* I LOVE the vampires! * Really like CAS, best in the series by a mile * Like the toddlers * Restaurants are great, now I've got them to work again * The active careers * The club system * The add to group system * The added family game play with toddlers, and parenthood, and teens sneaking out * The modding community
Most likely not , unless the walkthrough looks very interesting, I don't feel like laundry will add anything particularly exciting to my gameplay. So far none of the stuff packs have seemed particularly value for money for me, especially as a heavy CC user. If we had perhaps got Dangerous or maybe an eco pack which…
Haha, I didn't even mean the thickness, the pc shop I usually went to finally started stocking gaming laptops, but I noticed on the covers they always seemed to have some odd intricate design or really flashy luminescent logo. At the time I think they had three alien-ware laptops and one HP laptop with lots of orange cross…
My laptop isn't cheap, it's £1200..., I got it on sale at £800 but it was reselling again for a bit at the same price at the place I got it from and other vendors. Bit of an odd thing to presume given that you can buy notebooks at that price which would be in no way suitable for gaming. I did investigate the laptop minimum…
I see, thanks, that's pretty useful information. Mine ends in U. But at the same time according to this: http://game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=7782&canMyCpuRunIt=The%20Sims%204 and the review of my processor I shouldn't have any problems. I know meeting the minimum requirements isn't the best for optimal performance…
While I understand that sometimes computer specs can cause issues, I think we should divert from immediately suggesting these issues are due to the laptops because the fact is these are all bugs that have been reported across a variety of players across a variety of PCs if you look at the official bug forums. Even if they…
I figured, if there's some set frequency of patches, i.e they have to release a bug fix on average once a month as a rule, then it could influence them to be short-termist in their thinking and prioritize bugs which are quicker/easier to fix, while temporarily putting others on the back burner. This is speculation and I…
It is a shame because theoretically, if we were to just consider the content of each of the game packs and expansion packs alone, and the toddler update the game would seem to be in a really good place. Vampires are well fleshed out, the interactive careers (upon release) were immersive, interesting and a lot of effort…
