  • Don't know if this has already been said, but I've only just found out that if a vampire bites a sim, they get two little bite marks on the side of their neck for a bit! Only saw it when I had my vampire convert his girlfriend!
  • People are allowed to say things on a forum that you disagree with, that you believe to be false, that you believe to be armchair expertise or whatever you want to call it to put your views on a pedestal over theirs in your head. I wasn't going to say anything, but I wont sit and let my intelligence get insulted by someone…
  • Do you work in Game development? Edit: and no, I don't know anything about game devlopment, so perhaps it was incorrect to say game devlopment in my original post. But TwistedMexican clearly knows how to code. Did you read the article? Funny how you desperately cling to one small mistake in my post to try and distract from…
  • For anyone cough- cough trying to insinuate that the Olympus link is a lie, or unsubstantiated rumour, TwistedMexican, a modder, and someone who clearly has knowledge of programming/ game development has very thoroughly outlined all the proof here:…
  • @mirta000 To be fair, I had similar reservations to you, but after debating with other people on the matter , hearing from simgurdrake and also doing my own research on the game myself, I don't believe they have taken enough assets from the sims 4 for PC players to feel cheated by. Also, reading TwistedMexi'S thread on…
  • ... In your original post you made no distinction between people who were expressing their concerns about the game or people who were actively campaigning to cause disruption to the forums at their own expense. Even what you have just posted does not constitute as proof that there is some big crazy troll campaign to…
  • This makes sense actually, thank you. This is why civil discussion is valuable and why expression of scepticism should not simply be disregarded as trolling. Where I was getting at though is that regardless of the amount of projects the Sims team has, EA would have a limited amount of cash to allocate. In that regard they…
  • This is an interesting perspective. I mean, I definitely feel like my initial reaction to the announcement was a bit knee jerk. But I think what it came down to is me, like others we're probably hoping for a GP announcement, and this very unexpected. I respectfully disagree with your robbing Peter to play Paul section…
  • On the bright side, this suggests that they are ready to announce new information, hopefully a full trailer, on the Sims Family pack. Don;t really understand why it would be unfair to the sims mobile team though, surely it would have been better marketing to do a pre-announcement that both the GP team and Sims mobile team…
  • Yoga was an extra feature we paid for as part of Spa Day. Yoga (with similar animations) is a feature which is attainable through no added cost (albeit more difficulty) in Sims Mobile, which is free. Hence deductively yoga is a feature which was paid for in Sims 4 and free in Sims Mobile. You could argue that the amount of…
  • No problem :) I'm going to have to be annoying in my initial answer to this and say that I'm not sure, just because I completely skipped the Sims 3 and actually had no idea it was even out until 4 was launched ! But theoretically, the strategy of one would have had an effect on the strategy of the other. Again the degree…
  • This makes a lot of sense to me actually, thanks. The more people have talked about Sims mobile anyway the clearer it is that accessing all of these features will not be as simple as having it all for free.
  • Well obviously they aren't the same, but it's not like I'm trying to compare Angry birds with the Sims 4. There are animations, gameplay features, hairstyles , clothing items, build tools which are directly ported from Sims 4 and adjusted to work for a mobile gaming engine. There is empirical evidence of this in the…
  • The re-use of animations is not an issue in itself, it is the fact that features that we paid additional money for through expansion packs and game packs appear to be available in Sims mobile for free. It doesn't suck the fun out of the game, no one said that, but it is a little annoying to have paid a lot for these…
  • @Writin_Reg https://twitter.com/SimGuruMegs/status/861988363057848320 "SimGuruMegs has also confirmed that SimGuruRiley and SimGuruAzure (and others from the Sims 3 Expansion team) have moved over to the mobile game, but ensures players that they have made new hires for The Sims 4 on PC." - SimsVip While you could argue…
  • It can be compared to the PC game because when you watch the trailer a lot of the animations are the exact same animations from the Sims 4. A lot of the gameplay is sims 4 gameplay. It would be a massive oversight not to see that Sims Mobile is not at least based off the Sims 4. For me personally, I wouldn't object to this…
  • Right?? As a student who largely supports myself through two part time jobs, it's a little annoying to spend upwards of £100 on a PC game and it's expansions, only to have significant parts of expansions and game packs put into a cheap app right off the bat. Having said that it could be a possibility that some of these…
  • I think my issue with this is that not only does this have Get to Work, get together and spa day features, which will come at a much more discounted price than on PC, but that it also has additional features that really should have been implemented in the PC game, such as the option to confess an affair, an improved family…
  • http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/emotions/inspired.php There is an inspired emotion. @Sid1701D9 I used inspirational because the painting is causing the inspired emotion.
  • @DagmarH I've had a couple of excellent dishes using this method. It might be interesting to see if carefully is the only thing we need to do, not something I'll be trying any time soon though, with finals coming up! I have the tidy tippers perk as well, forgot to mention it.
  • Just posted this workaround update to the bug forum: I tried having my chefs cook carefully, and used the organic ingredients (10%) rather than fresh GMO ((25%) in order to save costs and it still works! Also put paintings in the kitchen which gave an inspired moodlet (They do exist, I found them in unlock items) , and…
  • I had a vampire male and an alien female have a baby and he came out full alien as well!
  • @drake_mccarty I can't help thinking some of this might be resolved if they shifted their intellectual capital away from Stuff Packs. We already have 11 stuff packs for the sims 4, the sims 2 had 10 for it's entire run.
  • The girl who I was trying to turn into a plantsim had a brother living with her with the Mastermind reward trait, which can be obtained by completing one of the Deviance aspirations or using cheats, I did. I had him subtly debase one of the plantsims her sister invited over, which automatically made her very sad.
  • Decided to finally contribute to this thread! Taking photos is one of my favourite things to do in the sims! Hope eight isn't too much, but thought these gave a cool snapshot of my gameplay, cc elves, vampires, soppy romance, aliens/ half aliens, family play and social gatherings!. Hope others like them too!
  • OK so out of a mixture of interest and uber procrastination, I counted my not in world townies and found 41/78 had asian names which is actually less than I was expecting, I think what's actually annoying is that 34 out of 78 of these names were repeated names for different households, and that's even after I've previously…
  • That's the thing though, it's not used in far right (not that I'm applauding them) or conservative circles. It's used in intersectional feminist and left wing circles, by people who consider themselves progressive. That's why I find it confusing. I mean in the grand scheme of things it's not the biggest issue but just…
  • Colored, no, but from my limited experience of sociological academic writing as an Econ student, and talking to people into feminist critical literature , there seems to be a rise of the term "people of colour" as a politically correct way to refer to minorities, which baffles me to be honest, but there you go. Also if…
  • It's interesting though, how did people of colour became a catch all term when it has been established that referring to people as "coloured" is seen as derogatory due to its links to segregation? My experiences as a black person in terms of identity politics are going to be different from a Latino or Asian person, "poc"…
