As promised, I managed to get the lot finished this afternoon. May I present: A Mid-Century Family Home, by WibbleLikeAJelly. This lot has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and contains No CC. Exterior Lounge Kitchen/Dining Room Master Bedroom and Ensuite View on the Gallery More photos can be found on my Flickr, here. Cheers, Wibble
Thank you all for your welcoming comments; it's nice to see some familiar faces once more! I'm glad I decided to finally share this lot. It's kickstarted a little building streak in me once more... (just another excuse to inflate my ego with praise no doubt!) I've started a new WIP in TS4 that I've posted over on the other…
Somehow "a few more weeks" turned into just over three years but better late than never! (Does anyone even play TS3 anymore ??) In any case, I am very excited to present a new lot: Hotel Paradiso - 4br, 3ba You can see a few more photos here and the download link is in the title above. It's been an awfully long-time…
I haven't been felt active here for gosh... about two years now, and I can't say I regret much. I still use the Exchange to share lots, but I find it such hard work to manage a Creative thread here on the officials. You can find me on the Simblr community. There are plenty of really friendly, talented people, and a real…
Cath, you are doing a sterling job! This property looks so sophisticated... Any family would be proud to live there! This Zoo U looks like so much fun; I'd love to have a go...
Rita – That's lovely, thank you! :D Rose – Thanks for the in depth feedback as ever. It was my first time using the wall sticker and I really like it! I also wanted to do something unique with the walls outside so I'm glad it caught your eye. GC – You're too kind ;) Nice to know I have a fan though! Taryn – Thanks, Miss T!…
Final week! Thank you, Blythe, for hosting another inspirational month of poetry. My poem this time is about all the people in your childhood who you really trust and in whom you can confide, and the sense of relief in finally getting something off your chest. I hope it's a light relief from the sadness of previous weeks;…
Meg! Have you thought about downloading the de-stencilled version of that bed so you can have it without the rose? I think someone has uploaded a bunch of base game items without stencils onto the exchange. It's completely mod-free and not CC, which is great! I know there's a thread in GG on the topic but sadly I've…
I apologise for not doing any comments along with my votes this week, but I'm in a bit of a rush to post this. I cast my votes to Jez and Blythe (even though I know you'll protest ;))
I actually wasn't following any pattern, but I'd be interested to know if such a style existed. In terms of verses I chose A B A C B. I would have used used A as the refrain, but B seemed more fitting to the theme, so I wanted to place it last for emphasis.
I think I've made it just in the nick of time! I must admit I was not looking forward to writing a song at all, but a sudden moment of inspiration turned it into something really rather fun to write, and amusing! I'm also pretty proud I managed to fit the theme in here... just! :) If you want an idea of the vocal melody,…
To anyone looking to gift prizes: Should you choose to share your winnings, I thought I should mention that I have updated my WL to make it more accessible. Obviously however I am not expectant of anyone's generosity. That is your own prerogative. You can expect my entry tonight (so long as I find some inspiration... I'm…
Jez, thank you ever so much for the vote! To stand out for even one person among all the amazing work really is praise indeed. P This week I shall vote for Jezebelthenun's Regret's Memorial, and ErnesaT's The Preacher's Boy. Such moving work. Thank you to everyone for contributing. An invigorating and inspiring week of…
I am rather enjoying the build now, considering the trepidation I was feeling at the start. Thanks, Rose! If I may say so myself, I agree! I think the building is much more suited to Isla Paradiso than to St. Claire, where in was building previously. Too kind, too kind! *bows*. Thank you, Cath. :)
I've never been affected personally by war, which is perhaps why I wanted to convey gravity in my poem. I tried to focus on how I'd feel if I were placed in the body of a solider, trained to kill, and how I'd live with myself afterwards thinking of those whose lives I'd affected. The poem is named for The Butterfly Effect,…
Well; to the one person who voted my poem, I love you dearly. Oh, perhaps it will take some time to get used to my black humour again. ;) Congratulations to Thelessy. Not a winner yet perhaps, but it sure looks like you've earned the title!
Bit of a major update. I was unhappy with the original shell (as my DNA teammates will know!) so I went to Isla. Paradiso and completely rebuilt everything, but this time on a diagonal so that the lot itself is on two straight planes. Here it is. I'm actually really happy:
So many amazing entries. Everyone here really has done a great job. Before I cast my two votes (which truth be told was a very hard decision) I have a few honourable mentions who really captured my imagination with their poems. AnnitaEatsYa - Great sense of humour in your work! Nice use of punctuation to convey the message…
I'm back! This year is going to be a blast, and I'm glad to be a part of it once more. As you may well be aware, my favourite thing to do in-game is build and decorate, so I tried to encapture the process behind creating a lot. This is only a quick poem, but the concise nature of the acrostic lends itself more to abrupt…
Thank you, both! I definitely feel like I have to make a few adjustments, though. For a start building in two diagonal planes really isn't practical! Thank you for the support. I really hope the requester sees this.
