Thank you for the words of support.

@ Wibble and PurpleAthena ..... check your gift boxes. I delegated all of the points, knowing that I would gift a few myself.

Nesa, not to make you do more work, but with these sales...you have more points. I'm just saying...

Blythelyre do you know if the gifts are charging the sale price? Because if that was the case I'd love to claim my 1500 and use it on the boardwalk since that is just under 1300 with the sale on and gift the rest, but I would hate it to over charge so if it might not work then I will just keep holding them until the end.

I see others have written some fun poems! Love them!

Nesa, that was super sweet of you to share with everyone. Thank you.

Blythe, the sale price isn't the price you are charged. I tested it. You are charged the full price even while it says the price is less. Look at your points before and after gifting and you'll see.

Lessy, the sale price only is the sale price is you buy it for yourself. Anyone gifting is charged the regular price while seeing and thinking they get the sale price.

I found a way to have fun with regret as well.

They say you should eat broccoli -
That it's really good for you.
But I must question that advice
As it's not the thing to do!

    There is no regret
    Like that you get
    When you eat broccoli!
    For oh, the gas
    That you will pass
    Is toxic, believe me!

    Green and leafy vegetables...
Eat all you want and more,
    But by-pass the broccoli
Or head quickly for the door.

    For there's no regret
    Such as you get
    When you eat broccoli,
    With the toxic gas
    that you must pass
    Eventually.

    Vitamins A, B, C,
and even K - how healthy!
    But chose another vegetable...
    Anything, but broccoli!

    For the gas you get
    Will cause regret
    When you've had broccoli!
    What could be worse?
    Montezuma's curse?
    It's silent, but deadly.

    What vitamins are worth it?
    It's much better to refrain.
I am here to tell you
    I, for one, shall abstain.

    I shall have no regret.
For any more, I won't get
    Any of that broccoli!
    No more gas
    Will I pass
    That's silent, but deadly!

Good to know Ciane, in that case I will continue to hold my SP until the end of the contest.
Your broccoli song is very funny!

Sweet kisses and little white lies,
Roses deep red and that look in your eyes,
Perfume as presents so I don't feel neglect,
These are a few of the things I can't regret.

Earrings not mine left at your bedside,
Strange women calling and something you hide.
Tell tale facts left for my mind to reject.
These are a few of the things I can't regret.

Another late night working and last minute excuses,
Laughter in the background and more poor ruses.
Lonely nights left wondering in the kitchenette.
These are a few of the things I can't regret.

When the time comes, When my plans are set,
    When I finally leave.
You can be sure that you will feel regret,
And be the only one to grieve.

    (to My Favorite Things)

    You're welcome to everyone.

@ Blythe ... I don't think I have anything left. This stupid sale charges me the full price.

    Blythe, I loved yours!
    Bklyn, yours was great!
    Jez, that was too funny.
Lessy, I really liked yours too, but I didn't understand the "dimes" and "right" part... I wanted that to rhyme too.
Wibble, I found yours really fun as well. What rhyme pattern is that that repeats stanzas that way?
Element, yours was truly awesome too.
How do I pick just two?
JeztheNun gets a vote because I loved all the rhyme with its tricky pattern and Element gets a vote for truly I could hear that song and its tune.
    Good luck to you all.

I actually wasn't following any pattern, but I'd be interested to know if such a style existed. In terms of verses I chose A B A C B. I would have used used A as the refrain, but B seemed more fitting to the theme, so I wanted to place it last for emphasis.

Thank you ErnesaT for sharing your winnings! I know I'm probably late in saying this, but I just now noticed (it's been a busy week). It really is appreciated and it's surprises like this that makes these gifting threads so much fun to partake in.

That being said, voting time! Is it just me or is this getting tougher each week to vote for people? We need to up the limit to 20. ;) I should be able to vote for everyone twice that way!

Going to vote for Skymist's Shattered Soul. I could feel the emotions behind quite strongly and it was the one that stood out the most in my mind. She's such a strong woman for what shes been through and you can feel it in the song.

And after much much much debate, I'm going to go with Oliwiaz's as with the right beat I could see myself easily getting addicted to this one singing along to it on the radio.

Thank you everyone for your words on mine, they are very encouraging. I almost didn't post this week and you all make me glad I did.

I cast my votes to Jez and Blythe (even though I know you'll protest ;))

This was truly a very hard decision to make. Everyone's poems were so good! I wish I could choose you all!

After much deliberation, I decided to vote for Skymyst and ElementDragon. Your poems stuck out the most to me.

First of all thanks to those who have voted for me thus far, this week was a powerful one for me. Thanks for all of the comments and Nesa *hugs* we can hold our head high together! I am sorry for the stuff your family is putting you through.

Now as far as votes this was a super hard one to pick just two on but I think I am going to go for ....

Hi, all! Before I cast my votes, I wanted to share my thoughts about the poems that I didn't respond to yet.

oliwiaz: Your poem really told a story. I love that.

Thelessy: It was very funny and I can totally relate!

starwarspunk: So cool to have a song inspired by characters, and wow! actual singing!

WibbleLikeAJelly: Your rhyming and vocabulary are truly impressive.

ciane: Ha ha ha! My inner five-year-old cannot stop giggling.

ElementDragon: I loved the tension in the opposition between the original and your lyrics.

Thank you to those of you who commented on my poem, and Thank You So Much to Skymyst for the nomination :-)

Finally!!! My votes this week are for jezebelthenun and starwarspunk. Because singing.
