So I know I haven't been around for a while but I have some time on my hands at the moment and I've been trying my best to get back into a bit of building. This is a Mid Century lot (they never get old!) very loosely based on a photo I saw online. It's mainly an exercise in relearning the tools of TS4... I kinda like the result.

It's not finished yet but I made a decent amount of progress today so I hope to get it uploaded in the next day or so.

I'm hoping that the interiors don't turn out too bland but I don't really have any content for TS4 so decorating remains a little challenging. I've always found it difficult to work the different colour palettes together but it's nice to be pushed out of my comfort zone in this way.

In the living room I wanted to create the effect of a clerestory, hence the windows at the top of the room.

All thoughts/feedback etc. are welcomed. It's nice to be back here for the time being

The layout and exterior design of your Mid Century Modern WIP looks great!

Very nice roofing! The flowers are a nice pretty touch in the front area of the build. Very nice fenced pool patio courtyard! Sims will enjoy swimming there. The flowers, plants and rocks are a nice touch there . Very nice indoors kitchen and dining area. The island sink and bar stool counter looks great! The dining table area is nice for sims to enjoy the sunshine coming in through the windows whilst eating a meal. The two varieties of chairs look great there. Very nice sofa seats sitting area in the living room for sims to rest in front of the fire. The upper wall placement of the windows looks great!

It is great that you have now finished and uploaded your home to the Gallery

It looks very nice! Very nice outdoors areas! The trees, plants and flowers look very nice how they are placed in the build. Nice firepit nook area for sims to enjoy sitting around the fire toasting food and keeping warm. The texture of the exterior walls give a great look to the build! Very nice layout of the home, both the exterior and the interior furnishing of the rooms. I have posted a little about the furnishing of the interior in the earlier post. Sims will enjoy resting on the sofas, reading a book and listening to the piano music being played.
The home is a very nice mid century style build !

Very nice, Wibble!! Great mixing of textures and colors. Yes, the color combinations of Sims 4 is quite a challenge but most things do actually look very nice together. Makes ya look outside the box. If ya want some building tips, tricks and Mooing lessons, go to Ms Bry's (@BryonyRae) threads. She is a genius on 'outside the box'!!
