If I have a particular narrative in mind, yes, but usually I let the game decide because it feels more natural to me. I enjoy the suspense and it feels a lot more rewarding and funny if my Sim happens to have all boys or all girls without me interfering.
Ooh! Thought of some more! Pet trainer! Piano, violin, or guitar teacher! Tutor! (Can you imagine being hired by Nancy Landgraab to work with a petulant Malcolm on his calculus?)
I was just thinking about this! Right now elementary/high school doesn't seem to have much of an impact on your Sim's life, other than responsibility and uni scholarships. I'd love for there to be tests/exams, field trips, group projects, graduation (CAN YOU SEE CHILD SIMS IN A LITTLE CAP AND GOWN FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL GRAD?)…
This is exactly what inspired my indignation. My Sim just went on a father-son camping trip with his oldest kid and they caught so many fish...only for them to be foul by the time they got home. Oh well, fertilizer for Mom's garden, I guess.
I tend to avoid cc for a few reasons, mainly because I don't like the alpha stuff and lately it's been more difficult to find Maxis-match stuff (if anyone knows some good content creators for that, let me know). Additionally, if I download a bunch of cc and something is broken I then have to comb through everything to find…
I play in all my builds, ESPECIALLY if I plan to upload them to the gallery. I made that mistake early on and learned from it. Plus, I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor! Most recently I made an old Hollywood-themed theatre in De Sol Valley to replace the itsy bitsy Studio PBP as the site for the Starlight Accolades. I…
Lol I left my jock/goofball Sim unattended in Uni while I played other households and when I went to check on him he was immediately expelled for low grades, I assume because he kept skipping class to hit the slopes. The college path is not for everyone, haha.
Right? Whenever I got bored of bowling as a kid you'd find me in the sketchy back corner playing air hockey or learning way too much about human anatomy from the fighter games.
I whiled away many hours and precious coin as a wee lass in mall and bowling alley arcades. One of my favorite birthday party activities. I miss the feeling of ultimate wealth you would get as tickets poured into your hands, and the inevitable disappointment that the most expensive prize you could afford was the 10-cent…
I keep saying this but I am dying for a homeschooling option, particularly in the case of my Decades challenge. I think I'll make a threat about it with my ideas of how it could work, as a former homeschooler myself. *Thread! Not threat! No worries EA, I'm not *that* desperate for homeschooling.
I live in New England (US) and we have several "malls" like this. In my state the popular one is called Church Street and it used to be one of my favorite places to go...until the smaller local businesses got shoved out one at a time by corporate outlets. There's still a couple left but not the same cosy vibe anymore. I'd…
I built a mall in Sims (really just a retail lot shaped like a mall), and a resounding "YES" to this. I want my nerdy Sims to while away the day perusing the latest issues of Captain Sigma and trading Voidcritter Cards in the comic book shop, I want teens to spend awkward first dates at the arcade or coffee outlet, I want…
My sims have taken to gathering around the refrigerator in an awkward huddle. They have island seats, a beautiful round table with plenty of comfy chairs, a patio table, and even benches and sofas. No. Rejected. No sit. Only stand.
