Click on the ... icon and click on view properties. In the Advanced launch options put the -w there and hit save. Then launch the game. That should do it.

Yea, they shouldn't have made it to where you can't have both. That way players who do have issues with the older games in the EA App can use Origin for the older games, but transfer the games that are current to EA App for further updates. Ultimate Collection was only ever offered through Origin and it's no longer available to get. Any Sims 2 disc you buy will just be the base game without any patches or expansions.

I've got sporadic random crashing. Crash Log Analyzer states that it's some CC, but the crashing is so infrequent that it would be impossible for me to test to see what CC it is that is causing the crashing. I don't usually lose much when it happens as I've learned to save frequently with Sims 3.

@mcrudd From what someone in a discord for another forum said that it's affecting those who play on Long. So given that this challenge is played with aging off, this save should be fine. It's just those that had been saved while set to Long that are having an issue. And aging off is the workaround for the glitch anyway.

@Dinkus83 I don't think teens started off immune the emotion deaths, but it got added in with one of the patches. If I recall correctly.

Thankfully, teens and younger are immune from the emotion deaths. You just have to be careful when they age up that they are not in such a strong emotional state as young adults are not immune to emotion deaths.

You got to get to neutral to multiples. Like you don't care if you get them or not. Actively not wanting them is the game's sign to give you them.

@mcrudd See, you've falling into the classic Sims trap. You don't want multiples and the game will give you multiples. You've got to get at least neutral with having multiples for you to get out of the trap.
