  • Thankfully, teens and younger are immune from the emotion deaths. You just have to be careful when they age up that they are not in such a strong emotional state as young adults are not immune to emotion deaths.
  • You got to get to neutral to multiples. Like you don't care if you get them or not. Actively not wanting them is the game's sign to give you them.
  • @mcrudd See, you've falling into the classic Sims trap. You don't want multiples and the game will give you multiples. You've got to get at least neutral with having multiples for you to get out of the trap.
  • No new babies, but I have finally blogged the next chapter of my 100 Baby Challenge. Chapter 2 - Mirotic @all I have enjoyed everyone's updates!
  • Two kids with the same name? Or did you mean to change the name?
  • And then there's me who goes between different interests almost without rhyme or reason. I'm currently in a FFXIV mood. I'll eventually return to Sims 4, though. I did return to Sims 4 when Werewolves dropped, but played a different save since it was easier to explore that expansion in than this one is. Edit: I am…
  • Only the NPCs that you have to cheat to interact with are the problematic ones.
  • @all For Harvestfest, I've taken to removing the gnome tradition and replacing it with watch sports. It's something all can do, so it's a good replacement for the gnomes as that's one of the few on that day that are coded to be kid appropriate. Because it is something that happens at least in the US. American Football…
  • @Rawla Love the family picture! @Dinkus83 Nice tip on gardening, though the Idols don't have a garden at this point. Love the family dynamics with the Archers. I also echo the sentiment that Aliyah's going to be disappointed unless we magically get cars in time for her to be able to get one when she grows up. No pictures…
  • Delayed comments time. I've been distracted by other things the past few days but haven't forgotten about this challenge and have been lurking. @SoulGal7 @mcrudd Your kids are aging up nicely! Love Chicago PD myself. I watch it and the other Chicago shows with my dad. Twins are one of those things in Sims where if you do…
  • @mcrudd I won't always do all child aspirations per child, just maybe once every so often. They just have to complete the one that they landed on when they aged to child. As for toddler traits, I've been given tips and tricks for how to raise those quickly so it doesn't take too long. I can handle doing it for twins on…
  • I've also started doing this as well. Going to have them wait until the toddlers get all of their skills maxed to age them, though, instead of just 3. And I may occasionally do something like all child aspirations at times - I'd likely hold off on more kids for a bit to do that, though, and space some out. Maybe even do a…
  • No worlds or anything like that that is accessible by multiplayer only. I do not want my available worlds to be limited just because I do not wish to subscribe or play multiplayer. Multiplayer versions of worlds? Sure. But no multiplayer only worlds. And achievements should not expire just because you didn't subscribe for…
  • Several posts in this thread deal with how to deal with motives. It is possible to play the game without mods or buying the most expensive items in the game. Just takes more time to manage their motives. But yes, to make things easier, you do have to work towards earning the better items in game that will fill their…
  • Just like that!
  • Thank you for making it readable. 1 suggestion: It's a lot of deaths to get to 100 kids. Maybe you have to collect different types of death and each time you collect all of your available deaths, you can bank a death of a spouse of old age without having to negate their kids - this wouldn't likely happen often due to…
  • A quirky font doesn't make a challenge more interesting. It could pull someone in to read the challenge more than just default font, but it won't make the challenge itself anymore interesting. But it could also turn people off if it's so quirky that it's hard to read. It could be the most interesting challenge in the…
  • My only current suggestion is to change the font back to the normal font or to one more readable. I'm unable to read the rules of the challenge and therefore can't offer feedback or even consider doing it myself.
  • If it's a disc, it doesn't matter if someone's used the code or not for Sims 2. For Sims 2, the code only has to be unique for registering the game which is no longer possible.
  • @SERVERFRA Just wanted to make sure that you do understand that mods don't have viruses. Now if you go off and look around you might find a mod that's hosted on a site with sketchy ads that have viruses. But that can happen when you're out looking for how to fix a glitch in your game without the use of mods. And if you…
  • In Sims 2, I used mods to supplement gameplay mostly. Some mods to fix glitches. But I could play the game without mods and not be hindered in my game play too much. Game was only updated once per expansion pack and that was typically 2 times per year so there wasn't a problem with the waiting game for mods to be updated…
  • There is currently not a legal way to get it on the PC. Mac's I still think have access to the Super Collection which is basically their version. It has all but the last few packs that were never ported to Mac.
  • You can call the police to report a runaway. They may find them and they may not. If they don't find them, the teen will still age and will return to the house on the day they age up.
  • Teens could run away autonomously if they had low relationship with other members of the household. It was not a feature that you could tell your teens to do.
  • I play for "one more day" way too many times and suddenly it's way too late at night/early in the morning irl. But more in game: can't help but have families have multiple kids. I struggle when challenges limit me to one kid. I'm trying to break this habit though for Sims who it makes sense that they would just have 1 kid.
  • In your opinion it's not a terrible idea. But in friendlysimmers' mind it is a terrible idea. Neither of you are wrong. Just because this is a hypothetical discussion of what EA should do, doesn't mean that players can't come in and state that nothing would make a subscription service for the game something they would want…
  • Yea, leave some ground around the tombstone so that they don't spawn on the other side of the moat. They have to be really low in order to trigger it. In all of my time playing, I play generational challenges and I've had countless Sims die on the lot. No more than 2-3 haunt on any one night. I've had a large number of…
  • I usually just let the graves stay on the lot. Adds some unpredictability to the game with the haunting. Yes, this means that Sims with low hunger at night really have to avoid ghosts or risk being scared to death, but that's something I enjoy - making the game more challenging. Ghosts can't cross water so if you don't…
  • Because the tokens are from the subscription service. The GP's and EP's deserve money to be spent for that purpose only. EA deserves to know which packs are worth it to players. With tokens the token system complicates things: are they buying them because they want the pack or because they have nothing else they want to…
  • The non-retro aspect would be a killer for me on a subscription model. Why should the player who just discovered Sims because they just turned the appropriate age be forbidden from having an item just because they weren't playing the game a month ago? Also means that a player doesn't feel pressured to keep a subscription…
