Lowell St. Haldemor has left his family in Bridgeport (the result of a crazy bachelor challenge he wanted no part in).
He started out on an empty plot of land, working the beach as a life guard. It suited him fine, lots of pretty ladies to look at.
Lowell had nothing but a tent to live in, and one night the sky suddenly got very dark. Lowell ran the life guard run of his life.
He returned once the meteors had stopped falling. But as Lowell was no firefighter, he phoned the fire department.
He was in luck. They sent 3 female firefighters, throwing themselves into the fire.
Lowell thanked them for saving his home... err lawn, and told them not to hesitate to come visit if they felt lonely.
Except for that one.
The meteor was worth quite a bit, and would go into a starter home.
Saving lives as usual he met Danielle Raggington.
They met again
He married her and they are expecting their first child.
...or in the story-line wasn't really dead after-all. Considering that he was under threat from the "mob", Kunio ended up going into protective custody...and the cops looked the other way as Haruo went after those responsible. Well...it cleaned up the streets. Needless to say Alanna was righteously cheesed-off. ...but she got over it quickly since she cared more that her husband was actually still living and breathing.

Of course university wasn't just filled with lectures. They had class activities too, and well, Thursday tended to be the day that everyone got to sit on their posterior ends outside in the snow. Braden and Aiden had the first activities class in the morning and the fine-arts students got to sit at home until 11:30. Greta's class wasn't until four in the afternoon, so she got to spend the whole day at home. Of course, Aidan and Braden got to stand out in the cold in the morning and gaze at their Them Bones skeletons. The rib bones' connected to the...sternum; the sternum's connected to the...pubis; c'mon...sing it... Well...that's so fun. ~sarcasm~ Anatomy wasn't my strength. That got some attention (probably not positive) from Ayana Yuki (at least I think that's her). And by the time they got back, it was time for the fine-arts students to hit their classes. Nothing like sitting in the snow to freeze your general...lady-bits and guy parts. And considering it was -3 or -13 with windchill and moisture in the air (remember kiddies, Vancouver is a coastal city and when it gets cold...it gets ffffffff-larking cccccccold) While Bri, Alanna and Kunio were freezing their relative privates off...Greta and Braden were getting comfortable. Exceedingly comfortable...hey...a massage will leave her relaxed for class. Yeah...really. Of course it did mean that Greta had to run for business activities class. But it was certainly worth it, she thought. Though Madeleine Noetal's droning on and on about business plans and macroeconomics was enough to put poor Greta to sleep. ...and Kunio and Alanna got even more close...no...not like that... Does Kunio really want to expire? Especially considering how much Haruo protects his daughters?

The university world was covered in snow as many of the residents were asleep. UBC became a completely different looking world in the snow at night. Lights were on all over the campus and well, the whole campus lit up. Of course, during the day, the campus was quite the hive of activities with students running to and fro from classes. Brianna and Braden had to run for their respective classes as they were running quite late that day. All things considered they couldn't afford to fail their midterm tests. ...and once again sun set on campus on a Friday afternoon. After midterms, they could kick back and relax, at least for the short-term and well, they were able to enjoy some food and relaxation if it wasn't for that pesky paparazzi hanging around. ...Well...that learned him. Sometimes it's really hard being the kids of a celebrity...as well as being one yourself.

A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms in the thread (human and fur).
Played the Black family on Friday. At some point next time they come around Beck will have another baby. She's currently trying to get Harvey all of his toddler skills so he can age up to child.
And Mittens went hog on a Nip Mouse before she aged up to Adult.
On Saturday I played the Drakes. I keep forgetting to move Blaine out. Hopefully I can do that next time around.
Last night I played the Finnegans. Baby Arthur was born a vampire.
Once mid-terms were over, the kids relaxed, however Braden worked on science projects and Greta rebuffed advances from Jeffery Dean, "Ewwww, You're my Mom's age! Dude... No thanks...plus on top of that, I'm engaged." ...and Brianna called her dad and talked with him about how the exam went. She figured that she did pretty well on the exam. And her dad congratulated her. Exchanging "love you sweetie."...and "I love you, Dad..." they signed off. Meanwhile in another dorm, Eddy was feeling his age catching up to him. He had seen the youngsters running around the campus heading to classes and knew that they were River's and Haruo's kids. He had known River and Haruo at university and it seemed like a complete mental disconnect to see their kids running around campus. Since he was back looking for a post-graduate degree in fine-arts, he'd see River's and Haruo's daughters in class. So it went...with life. He was getting way too old to look like a mid-twenties goth. You couldn't recapture your youth and all one could do was age gracefully. Meanwhile Mahmoud Yavari was making friends and influencing people. He really wasn't doing such a great job at it and frankly was ticking off the woman that he was talking to. So the Watcher decided to give him a makeover. It was funny seeing him try his advances with a face like this. Absolutely hysterical.
...and of course the science students were in the fenced in area mucking about with stuff that they were just guessing at. Students were building snowmen in the snow and Madeleine Noetal got tired of her look and got herself a makeover. Brianna cycled home from the grocery store and then ended up getting a call from an unwanted suitor. "Hey...babe...I've seen you 'round campus and you look hot...do ya wanna hang sometime...like at my house?" Ewwwww... "No...Mahmoud...you're as old as my Dad...bugger off." Some people...just don't get the message that they're outta touch with the younger crowd any more.

There was definitely time for relaxing around the dinner table; whether it was reading or eating a meal. Alanna called her mom and talked to her about her exams. Her mom told her that she was proud of her and that Alanna did the best that she could on those exams. Alanna was grateful of her upbringing that had encouraged her and made her feel that she could accomplish anything if she put her mind to it. Afterwards, she embraced her boyfriend, Kunio. She was so engrossed in that embrace that she didn't even notice Aidan walking past, who looked over rather sadly and walked towards the kitchen without saying a word. Night fell and while other denizens were out doing their nightly jaunts, the Chikamori kids and their significant others slept. The next day while other students were hanging out by the beach, the kids were either working on their martial arts or sparring. Aidan and Brianna decided to have a sparring match where Brianna kicked Aidan's tail end. Sparring worked up a sweat and Brianna dove into the shower to get all cleaned up because she didn't want to work on dinner smelling like something that crawled out of the sewer. But she couldn't take too much time to enjoy her time under the hot water jets, because others had to use it too and she needed to get out before they all complained. Alanna was next to use the shower and likewise, she had to get out before the last two complained. ...and well...the last two who needed to use the shower were Greta and Braden. Conserving water...? Shower Hogs! ...and poor Kunio had to deal with the messy counter.

@lanlyn - Love those interactions that we get when we tell our Sims to do something. Hmmm. Stir-crazy moodlet from playing the piano? I used to relax by playing the piano. It used to keep my mother from coming down to complain about stuff. I'd practice for hours on end to avoid her.

I'm still in Generation Two's university time...right now, but well...hopefully I'll get to the graduation soon. I play ahead so it takes me a bit to catch up story-wise. @Karritz - the boarding school looks awesome.

@Nikkei_Simmer 15 cats is no problem. I don't have that social worker mod. They keep each other happy and the other sims usually remember to feed them. I just spread lots of food bowls and cat toys and scratching posts etc around the lot.

@Nikkei_Simmer , I'm in love with older houses and building with "character" my grandpa was an architect so appreciating building and building/designing them in in my blood you could say, I would have loved to be an architect like gramps but math was not a strong point for me. our town has quite a few areas of "McMansions" (we live in one), I much prefer littler house with some individually to them (but the husband liked this monster so...).

@Charlottesmom - I love older homes too, but when I was in real-estate, the developers were constantly selling the "character homes" and tearing them down putting up McMansions or what we used to disparagingly call Hong Kong Specials. If I ever win the lottery, my wife and I are pretty much getting out of town and going to move into the Interior of BC. Buy up several hundred acres of property (preferably with a private lake or two, hopefully right smack in a prime eagle-nesting location, where I can hang on my back-patio and watch the bald eagles mate and raise their young and build a nice sized cabin on the waterfront. That would be where I'd love to finish out my life. @CravenLestat - I think Morgana should just ditch Thornton and get herself a new man.

I don't mind violence in my story-lines if it progresses the story-line a bit and throws a story twist that I can work with. This one just happened to come at a point where it was kind of dead in the story - not much interesting happening there so it was great to shake up the status quo there.

When they ended up back in Haruo and River's home, they got the third degree from grandpa over their grades, while River and Haruo watched with knowing smiles. @Mikezumi - hope that the boys did well on their final exams.

A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms in the thread (human and fur).
Played the Black family on Friday. At some point next time they come around Beck will have another baby. She's currently trying to get Harvey all of his toddler skills so he can age up to child.
And Mittens went hog on a Nip Mouse before she aged up to Adult.
On Saturday I played the Drakes. I keep forgetting to move Blaine out. Hopefully I can do that next time around.
Last night I played the Finnegans. Baby Arthur was born a vampire.

Once mid-terms were over, the kids relaxed, however Braden worked on science projects and Greta rebuffed advances from Jeffery Dean, "Ewwww, You're my Mom's age! Dude... No thanks...plus on top of that, I'm engaged."
...and of course the science students were in the fenced in area mucking about with stuff that they were just guessing at.

I should probably try working on my building skills. I think I have a good eye so it should only be a matter of pushing myself and perhaps reading or watching some tutorials on some of the trickier aspects.

Page 2621 @lanlyn - Love those interactions that we get when we tell our Sims to do something. Hmmm. Stir-crazy moodlet from playing the piano? I used to relax by playing the piano. It used to keep my mother from coming down to complain about stuff. I'd practice for hours on end to avoid her.
Boy oh boy, that looks like a 30% grade. That's one steep hill and I thought Oxford Street in White Rock was bad.
I noticed that Cexavu is in my town in Riverview.
Well, luckily Inspector Gray didn't get zapped. I sent Mayumi out to fix the hot-tub and she got herself electrocuted.
Haruo probably wouldn't spend too much time down in the basement with the cauldron, he has to catch his Canucks games.
I'm still in Generation Two's university time...right now, but well...hopefully I'll get to the graduation soon. I play ahead so it takes me a bit to catch up story-wise.

Yeah...love it when sims know just where everyone has to access and end up being obstructions. Just like when Haruo pulls out the violin right in front of the fridge and starts playing while everyone is trying to get food. Makes me want to zap his rear.

Thanks for posting it. @PalmArrow - unfortunately, my game crashed soon after that and well...Martin became Kai (short for Kaisuke) when he was born for a second time. (The other name that the game gave him was sheer unpronounceable. @Charlottesmom - I love older homes too, but when I was in real-estate, the developers were constantly selling the "character homes" and tearing them down putting up McMansions or what we used to disparagingly call Hong Kong Specials. If I ever win the lottery, my wife and I are pretty much getting out of town and going to move into the Interior of BC. Buy up several hundred acres of property (preferably with a private lake or two, hopefully right smack in a prime eagle-nesting location, where I can hang on my back-patio and watch the bald eagles mate and raise their young and build a nice sized cabin on the waterfront. That would be where I'd love to finish out my life.
@CravenLestat - I think Morgana should just ditch Thornton and get herself a new man.

And if it's in an eagle nesting area. I want to be able to see wildlife from my house. IF I win the lottery, I'm going to spend the rest of my life enjoying nature from my back porch armed with a 800mm f/5.6 super-telephoto lens on a tripod.
