@PalmArrow I agree with you,I really like the fake cows too.It looks cute with that horse stable next to it.
PS: Her backpack is fabulous it is important to stay fashionable even when hiking.
@CravenLestat , thank you! I have a floral backpack that I like a lot, and it inspired me to put a floral pattern on the University backpack (the one I own is too small to be useful on a hike, and I'm pretty sure that it was marketed at kids and teens which I'm definitely not, but I don't care!)
I think the pattern I used is one of yours? I have lots of floral patterns, and at least 95% of them are from your studio!
Been on my other game today but I died
and I need to start all over cause I noticed I had forgot to cancel the only one save option.
Well now it wil lbe my real character then and not the test char I have played now.
@Charlottesmom - OMG... Aerospace Engineering. Many congratulations to your son for achieving that degree and congratulations to your son on his graduation from university. That is one heck of a difficult field. And your son must definitely be interested in aircraft to pursue that field.
Aerospace has always been one of my interests (I seem to have a diverse bunch of interests) however I was never good in the sciences (lots of math and I can't make heads or tails of math...Algebra used to stump me - though of course some high-school wise-acres were always kind enough to point out to me. "Hey, Asians should be good at math - why aren't you?" He shut up after I threatened to shove him head first, upside-down into a locker. Ah...high-school those were the days...
Again, congratulations to your son for completing a difficult field of study and all the best to him in his future endeavors I hope to see some of his contributions to the field plying the skies in the future.
Oh...just so you know. Bombardier is hiring. If he doesn't mind working for a Canadian company. Of course, I'm sure that Lockheed Martin and other US Aerospace companies would more than likely be willing to snatch him up too.
@Nikkei_Simmer , Thank you, I’ll pass along the congrats! He inherited all his math smarts from his dad, I can barely balance a checkbook (though who needs to do that these days). He was heavily into robotics until a few years ago and we thought for sure he would major in Robotics engineering (believe it or not Worchester Polytech where he went has a degree in robotics). He and his dad were heavily involved with First (Lego robotics competitions). He most likely got the flight interest from his dad who always had the interest, and was taking flying lessons. He was mere hours away from his solo license when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, got really busy with our business and found out he would have been grounded with a cancer diagnosis regardless.
My son will most likely be staying around this area for a few years then will be headed to either FL or TX, he would ultimately love to work at NASA.
It’s good to have plenty of interests, mine arn’t as tecchie as the husband but oh well.
@Charlottesmom Congrats on your son's graduation. Aerospace Engineering! That is awesome. I was reminded of one of my sims.
Lorenzo loves Advanced Technology. He's living in Oasis Landing right now on an NRaas extended stay and has a career at the Stellar Observatory in Astronomy. He can choose to be a Space Explorer or a Astrophysicist.
Lorenzo and Lexi met as YAs in the future world and are living together there. But Lorenzo needs to take her back home to meet his parents.
His home world is Starlight Shores. Lorenzo also has the Bot Lover trait.
I built a Starlight Shores Stellar Observatory lot using rabbit hole replacement rugs. So now, Lorenzo can work on his Astronomy career both in Oasis Landing and in Starlight Shores. The Aerospace lot started out as a modified copy of Hunter Cotteneye's bunker lot in Riverview.
Here's the RH rug where Lorenzo actually goes to work.
Practicing his space walk moves.
Saluting the flag as he dreams of some day discovering a new planet.
@Mikezumi I gave Inspector Gray his first name of Erle. He came to me just as Inspector and I changed it to Inspector Erle. Since I was going to play him for a while, I wanted him to have a personal name too. (And yes, I was hinting at the tea, Earl Grey!) ...The pump has the options to weed and/or fertilize, but you can enable or disable the features. I can see having teens help in the garden. That's a good idea. And the more sims in a household, the less time required to maintain a big garden!
@Nikkei_Simmer Neat story line about Kunio. He and Alanna look wonderful together. So sweet. I hope that her parents will approve the relationship at some point! But Alanna and Kunio are still young.
@OriginalMara Yes, feeding toddlers in the high chair is awkward. I try to use the thing as much as possible, but it takes a long time, and I can't just sit there and hover while it goes on. So invariably, I move away and focus on other sims in the household only to discover the poor kid's screaming in the chair wanting out!
@PalmArrow I love the careers in Sims where you participate, but you're right. If you have a bigger household, it gets crazy zooming all over town supervising different sims' work activities! I'll keep that in mind if I decide to try Zerbu's Ultimate Careers: use in only 1 or 2 sim households. Thanks for sharing the pics of handsome Bruce! ...Loved Tamsin's hike screenshots. I really got a feel for the countryside. ...Stuart does seem a bit moody. Or conflicted! Maybe he's a private guy (or dedicated artist) who doesn't know what to do with his feelings for Tamsin. ...LOL at the size of that pill!
@bekkasan No, I didn't have to put fertilizer in the pump. It must have come preloaded. HA! It's definitely a cheaty item. But you don't have to use it for anything but watering. What I really liked about it is that you can water indoor plants. I love the gardening stations, except for two things. First, you need a certain size space to use them. And two, in tight places, it's difficult to see through or under the things!
@Karritz I like your new mermaid Cheryl. ...The rose window looks really good in your new build! I love that item, but it's not easy to find a place for it. Did you make an open inside balcony area to display it? I think I see that the top level has floor areas too.
@CravenLestat Nancy looks awesome! Morganna too. I think you're doing great with the different women's personalities.
@king_of_simcity7 Penny certainly has coping issues! I liked the bonfire pic and the ghost story one. ...I get a feeling that things are going to get real competitive between Jason and Dom very soon!

A few outtakes
I recolored my water pump.
Gerardo the Gardener is like one of the family now. How can I ever replace him with a pump?
I realized I'd never had Gran do any exercising, so I got her started on her Athletics skill.
The guys had time for a quick game of ping pong before Charlie had to go to work.
Erle has really trimmed down, but I have to have him exercise a little each day to maintain that.
A sneak peek at the relationship between these two.
As I closed the game last night, I got a notice that Laddie was sick! I don't think I've had a pet get sick like this before. I always give my sims Simmunity, so I rarely see the Germy Moodlet. But that reward isn't available for pets. Poor little guy. He'll have to suffer for two days or I'll have to cheat and click the moodlet off.
Well, Horse-Sheet... Looks like I'm going to be figuring out how to make ambrosia.
No, Haruo didn't find out about their hanky-panky.
Evidently Kunio got in a fight (he got jumped by the town thug). Thank you NRAAS Cops & Robbers.
Haruo pretty much up and slaughtered the sim that did the contract killing, AND the Town Thug and the King Pin, the ones who ordered Kunio's killing. He's pretty much the "Touch my family and DIE" type of father.
Evidently the "cops" looked the other way.

@lanlyn thank you. I left a single tile from the top floor to allow me to place the window. I also used wall lights from buydebug and coloured them cyan to shine through it from behind. I added the top floor to the building when I realised I could perhaps add that window. Unfortunately the house is 23 squares wide instead of 24. I didn't want to start the whole build all over again to get that one extra square just so I could put the window in the center. It took me ages to get the levels to work. There's another empty lot next door with the same slope but I think I'll leave it empty for now.
@Charlottesmom thank you and congratulations of having your son graduate. I'm glad you enjoyed your day.
As soon as I saw that gender switch sim I decided she had to stay - I knew I'd never make one that looks like her and she met all my criteria for liking a sim. She looks different from my other sims, she looks real to me and she looks as if she ought to be a character.
@PalmArrow thank you for the feedback. I hope you have fun with anything you might do with my instructions on adding extra worlds to your game. I find it a useful way to play multiple households because the sims living in the other, non active worlds don't age with the settings I'm using. So all I have to do is play the households I haven't played for a while, or that interest me at the time in one world, then go to another world with a whole other lot of sims waiting patiently to be played. This way I can get to keep all the children from a large family and play them having their own families and they all still know each other. I use the boarding school as a way to conveniently get sims from different worlds to temporarily share a household.
I was out most of yesterday and didn't make any progress on my Oscar and Louise video - but this morning I finally got it finished and it's currently saving.
I'm going to experiment with seeing if I can get it to load to YouTube using my tablet.
I had to reduce it from 9 hours to 30 minutes. I got it down to 34 minutes with narration. I thought of chopping all of the fire out as that would have taken some time out of it - but I did already cut almost all of the fire out of it and it was a massive inferno so left a bit in. I'll probably add the whole fire to my outtakes playlist one day. I have another short tutorial to do first though.
@Nikkei_Simmer OMG! What a twist to your family's story! Good for Haruo taking revenge on those criminals. And yes! Please make ambrosia. Kunio and Alanna had just declared their love for each other. Otherwise, this would be a terrible tragedy!
@Karritz What a great idea to put the color lights behind the window. Awesome effect.
The boys enjoyed an unrushed morning as they didn't have to be at their only lecture for the day until 12.
Greg's waking wish was to garden and Euan's was to visit the Academy. Since I could give them neither, I was glad when Greg rolled a wish to spar with Euan over breakfast.
Greg copped a boot in the face again! I heard the impact and winced
He came back fighting and won!
Euan rolled a wish to practise on the MA dummy when he lost. Morning wishes granted
Greg made a beeline for the stereo when they were done sparring.
He fell at least 3 times while I was watching him
While dancing, Greg rolled a wish to find a bug. I saw some butterflies nearby and sent him over.
Euan went straight for the board breaker when I released him from the dummy. I had Greg pick up some gems because they really mount up if I don't stay on top of it.
Before he could collect all the gems, the boys were pushed to class.
For once, Greg didn't bring up the rear He did get tangled up with the girl in front of him for a while but they sorted themselves out eventually.
@Charlottesmom Congrats on J on graduating Pity the weather wasn't the best but I am sure your pride kept you warm
I hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day *hugs*

@PalmArrow Glendonnach looks like a beautiful world and the view from Fort Gillie is awesome
Congrats on Tamsin's finds! She will be rich in no time
That was nice of her to check in on her patient!
The cow barn looks great!
Stuart is going to be a difficult fish to land
Those are hard pills to swallow
@king_of_simcity7 Poor Penny. She should have studied harder!
Congrats to Dom on his date with Cassie
@lanlyn Great pics from your Lorenzo save You did a wonderful job building him an Observatory back home!
Nice recolour of the pump!
Awww Laddie seems to enjoy Gerardo's company
Gran looks cute on the barre
It's great that exercise gets sims in shape so quickly but it's always a shock how quickly they regain the fat if you forget to keep it up. Erle cuts a fine figure!
Awww Gran and Erle are getting along well
Poor Laddie If he's too miserable remove the moodlet!
@Nikkei_Simmer Sorry that Kunio got killed I've only ever tried one of those story modules in my save but I didn't like it because I felt that I was losing control over my town. Not my cup of tea at all and definitely not a violent one.
The pained faces are up there with the homework faces. Study is obviously not meant to be fun
Greg fell asleep when his raised hand was ignored.
Euan didn't fall asleep once! He must really want that degree
Greg, on the other hand, must have been tuckered out from his morning dance
When the lecture was over, Euan rolled a wish to pour some juice. I saw that Eddy and his roomies were home, so I sent them for a visit.
"Look at the time!" Greg got no joy when trying to boast about his grandkids I noticed Greg's fun and social bars had dropped and discovered that Ronnie Blackstone had asked him to group up. Cancelled!
Euan went back for a second cup while I was concentrating on Greg.
Greg chatted with Eddy for a bit. I felt sorry for Eddy studying by himself in the kitchen and I wanted to get Greg away from Ronnie in case he grouped up again.
Eddy came out to chat so I had Euan take a photo with him
Euan is friendly so I imagine he instigated the hug but I awwwww'd anyway
Greg interrupted for woohoo so I decided it was time for the boys to go home.
The boys got their woohoo when they got home As I was lining up a shot of them coming out of the shower, I saw that they had broken it.
Euan rolled a wish to fix it
I sent Greg out to cook burgers for dinner.
Burgers are Greg's favourite meal
Euan got a text to say that Jeffrey Dean's party was starting soon.
I had Euan prepare a cheese plate.
I didn't realize that Euan hadn't met Mahmoud.
The party was well attended!
The boys tried to get juice but were thwarted every time because everyone was vying for the kegs.
Greg was on his way to the bonfire when Ludo asked for his help to do a keg stand.
He finally got there but then Euan was called in to help another sim.
I saw Greg heading for another try at a keg.
But the keg was taken!
The boys came together to flirt but I stopped them before they got to woohoo because they have their final exams the next day and it was late.
@Mikezumi Thanks for the feedback and nice updates at University Nice variety of Sims turning up to the parties as well. I was going to say that I hope that it doesn't rain to put the bonfire out but then I cannot remember if you have Seasons or not
@lanlyn thank you
The video -> The Story of Oscar and Louise - Episode 7 <- is currently loading to YouTube from my tablet. It says about 3 hours remaining.
I watched it through and there were a few minor things I thought I ought to fix but then decided to let it go as it is. I've already spent more than a week on it and I have so many other things to do. At least with it loading from my tablet I have access to my video editing software on my computer so I can make the next video while this one is loading. If it works, I'll do it this way in future.
If it doesn't work I'll have to have another go and use my computer to load it later. I'll check it's progress in an hour or so.
This episode starts when them clearing up after the girls age up to teen and end with them as Young Adults.
Now - about the set up of Cake Island and the related worlds. I think I've got enough sims in Moonfall Island now. I made George into a mermaid again. I briefly visited his house. He lives with Gavyn, his cloned fairy son and Cheryl, the mermaid I made yesterday. When I activated their house they were all in the kitchen. George gave Gavyn a bottle and then he was chatting with Cheryl. There were pink hearts between them so I'm hopeful they'll end up a couple and have more babies later on.
I've left a few residential lots empty, and there is one with just a single tile of wall on it so Sims can arrive there when they travel from other worlds.
I'll use Keith to travel to Cake Island next and he can collect Gene as Gene is the father of some of the children I've placed in Moonfall Island and they don't know their father as I picked them all up individually and saved them to my library as separate households when I was collecting them from the Big Game. So I need to introduce them and I thought it would be easier to get Gene to visit them rather than to take all of them to Cake Island to meet him. Gene lives in another household that has teens in it so they should be able to take care of any children that might be there. The game I made him for was an experiment where I tried to get him to have babies in as many different ways as I could get him to. He did cloning, alien pregnancy, tfb with female sims and planting forbidden fruit. I didn't get him to use the adoption service.
Next step, after Gene is in the family trees of his various children, I'm sending Keith to Freezer Bunny Island. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it as it is a special case. I want it because it's so different. I thought it could have been a good place to have the boarding school, but now I've got one in Moonfall Island. I'll see how it goes there. Maybe I'll build a big house on Freezer Bunny Island and send groups of sims to it from different worlds so they can get to know each other. Similar to the boarding school idea but a bit different.
Then I'll have to add another medium sized world as I've still got sims I need to add to the game.
@Karritz The rose window looks great on the house. It is a beautiful window, but does need a large space to use.
Congrats on getting the video done.
@CravenLestat Nancy is way too pretty! Morgana looks terrific, a bit of a 🐸🐸🐸🐸 flare to her face.
@Charlottesmom Congrats to your son! That is awesome and I do hope he does not have trouble finding a job. Bummer that the weather was not real cooperative. The Switch will be fun for the downtime between pounding the pavement hunting and passing out resumes. Right? hehe
lol at you finding a rl L.
Have a great Mom's day with the family.
@PalmArrow That is a beautiful view as she is hiking the trail and overlooking the town.
That is a cute little farm area with the barns.
Stuart is a moody artist!
A Doctor's work is never done. Handy that she has the tools and pills with her.
@Silverofdreams30 That is a bummer that your character died and you have to restart.
@king_of_simcity7 Penny is not the brightest bulb is she? Looks like the competition for Cassie's attention is on.
Lovely pics of uni.
@lanlyn Lorenzo and Lexi make a cute couple. That is an awesome aerospace lot!
It is great to see Gran and the Inspector getting along so well.
Poor Laddie.
@Mikezumi Great sparring pictures!
Love all the colorful rocks in the yard.
Cute pics of the boys in class.
Greg was tired. Always nice to have that mid morning nap to give you energy for later in the day.
Great visit with Eddy and even Ronnie...hehe
Jeffrey is striking a pose!
With being busy with work last week I didn't have as much time to play the game. When I did have a bit of time I decided to build.
This is the original resort in Bridgeport that I decided to renovate into a home.
I raised the original log cabin to three stories, darkened the logs and put the pool in a deck.
I put a sauna and massage area on the bottom level of the original cabin. I'm probably going to redo the area as I don't like the rock wall enclosing the sauna as much as I thought I would.
The new area on the bottom level will have kitchen, dining, living area. The upper floors will be bedrooms, gym and play areas. I haven't started those yet.
Baby grand piano for someone to play.
Finally got windows up at least on the front. They are subject to change as I start working on more of the interior.
When I was getting ready to log out the fog was rolling in across Bridgeport so I had to share that picture too. I think this is my favorite lot in this world and the first time I've renovated it to a private home.
@bekkasan thank you. I wanted to try to use that big window as it is so hard to use and so pretty when it is used.
I just checked the tablet and the video is definitely loading. It's done 200 + MB of 2GB so far so I'll assume it'll all be good. Since I had to get 9 hours down to 30 minutes it's a fast paced eventful video.
I think the next outtake will be of ' the fire '. I could only show a very short snippet of it in Episode 7 of Oscar and Louise but it was very dramatic to watch. Considering it was the BIGGEST fire I've ever had in any game so far, no sims were capable of calling the fire department, one sim had fainted beside the fire and I was sure there'd be a visit from Grim and it just got more eventful as it went on.

That's it for now - Happy Simming

@Mikezumi Great sparring pictures!
Love all the colorful rocks in the yard.
Cute pics of the boys in class.
Greg was tired. Always nice to have that mid morning nap to give you energy for later in the day.
Great visit with Eddy and even Ronnie...hehe
Jeffrey is striking a pose!
The Cowboy and the Mermaid
The Cowboy and the Mermaid
