Pulled out my mod folder, going to test to see if its an issue without mods.I literally took out the ENTIRE mods folder, including all hair, and recipes.
Edit: I pulled out my mods folder and the issue is still happening.I am now gonna move them to a new house
and see if that works.
I have determined it is my mods folder, but not just with the mods, the entire folder itself.Even with absolutely no mods in the folder.
Just having an empty mods folder causes issues.:/ not sure how to get around this so I can have mods.
Haven't played in a looong time, but just got a new computer and got The Sims 3 re-downloaded/installed so fingers crossed it works well on it and I can play again!

Ok, it seems like I am missing half or more the times people tag me. Just scrolling through a cpl pages on this thread I've seen several people tag me that I never got the notification for. So I have to say if you've tagged me and I haven't responded that means I didn't receive the tag. @Turjan Don't mind me, I just find it funny and charming the way some of the things sims do don't make sense. Yesterday I was trying to get a screenshot of one of my sims getting the newspaper in their pajamas but the sim kept changing into their clothes before going outside. Now, I have had many a sim spend dayyyyys in their pajamas before. I've had sims go to the park in their pajamas for pete sake. But try to take one shot of someone grabbing the morning paper right outside their door and they're like "nope! I need a business suit to do that! In fact I have a running joke in my house called "when your sim messes up your shot" - I'm forever showing my husband quirky funny things or faces that just completely ruin a shot. Niella in my story loves to randomly do the "loves the water" trait idle animation of grabbing their nose and sinking down like they're going underwater. Or Raj, since he's athletic he loves to look at his muscles in the middle of a shot. I find your couple very charming though Hope I didn't offend!

Alice woke up feeling extremely happy this morning and invites Adam out to hear her play. She sings a beautiful love song and plays the keyboard. The passionate words declare her love for him and how happy she is with their life together.
Meanwhile, Dedric receives a call, and the caller ID is Pip Goodfellow. Pip is upset, crying and very emotional and Dedric has a hard time at first understanding what he is saying. Suddenly he clearly hears "I can't believe my Mom is dead."
Dedric is stunned at the news. Flora Goodfellow has passed away. He tells Pip that he will come over right away.
Dedric talks to Adam and tells him about the sudden death of Flora Goodfellow. "We should visit with Pip and offer our condolences and see if there is anyway we can help them."
Adam solemnly agrees. Alice and Wisteria plan to visit with Dedric and Adam. Marshall accompanies Jennifer to the newspaper office to help her go through the old papers.
They arrive at the Goodfellow home and Dedric knocks on the door. Pip is so sad, devastated and obviously still reeling with the loss of his mother. He shouts to the Fates "It wasn't her time! Why did you take her away from us now?" Dedric hugs him offering comfort and a shoulder to cry on and a friend to listen as he shouts at the Fates.
While they talk, Wisteria chats with Dahlia who is visibly pregnant. Wisteria offers her condolences. She asks about the new baby and tries to ease her sorrow. Dahlia sobs "She will not see her new grandchild born."

"I've tried opening her computer, but she had it coded. Mom loved technology, and I can't abide it. I can't even check on her bills or finances right now." Wisteria is still chatting with Dahlia distracting her by asking about plans for enlarging the cramped house. One small bedroom and a nursery. Where in the world did Flora sleep?! she wonders. Of course, there is a fairy house in the yard so perhaps out there.
Alice takes Fawn outside to get her away from the sorrows inside the house.
Adam cracks the code on the password....Fawn's birth date and gets into the computer. Pip tells Dedric to look over her correspondence files to see if anything is said about the Willowisp family.
Adam promises Pip his help in trying to find out what happened to Flora. She was an elder, but she had not reached ancient status so she should not have passed yet.
Pip explains they found no signs of trauma on the body. It looked as if she fell asleep on the couch and died in her sleep.
Dedric explains he found a few emails from some of Flora's friends who knew the Willowisp's had left Moonlight Falls. Two of them said they went to the Fairy Realm for a brief period of time but left to live in the world finding court life unbearable. One writer suggests they moved to Dragon Valley as they could easily assimilate in the life of the elves and fairy's that live there.
Alice brings Fawn back inside and gives her a bottle and does a hygiene spell as she is apparently not potty trained yet. She fixes several meals to help tide them over for the next few days and then offers her condolences to Pip and Dahlia.
They go to the diner and talk quietly about what has happened. Jennifer and Marshall join them. Jennifer found an article in one of the papers about the disappearance of Nissa Willowisp Moyrn and the search. Nothing else is mentioned until months later. Marshall found a small article in the social section indicating that the Willowisp family has moved. The papers are a jumbled mess, out of order and they will continue searching to see if they can get more detailed information.
Jennifer, the ever inquisitive journalist, asks Dedric about Flora's death. "What do you think happened if it wasn't her time to go?
"Fairys live longer lives than humans and unless a mortal injury occurs it is unusual for one to just die in their sleep before time. The Fates know when it is time and we can sense it as well in order to prepare for that final journey. Flora was in her early elder status. She had lots of time left. So, it is a mystery to me as well as to her son."
Dedric looks at Alice "Can you raise a ghost without your Mom helping?"
Alice nods, but qualifies. "I'm not as strong in my talent as my Mom. It will need to be on the full moon when the my powers are strongest. You and Wisteria may have to give me a boost with your fairy powers."
Dedric looks from one to the other. "Does anyone object to us attempting to raise Flora and have a chat with her? I will talk with Pip and Dahlia to be sure they have no objections. We may discover what happened by talking with Flora. Alice I know you are skilled enough to make a serving of Ambrosia. Flora may want a bite to eat if she doesn't want to go back."
No one objects.
Adam suggests they go to the graveyard and pay their respects to Flora and do a little night fishing for some necessary ingredients for the Ambrosia.
***Got busy the last few days so I didn't have much time to do feedback. I'm not doing much this evening so I'm going to do as much as I possibly can, then I'll post that update I keep forgetting to post.

Last time I'd played was late-October 2018, but with the 27GB download to reinstall and my limited hdd space on the old computer, I'd never gotten around to it, but this one has a MUCH (8 times) larger hdd so I shouldn't have to uninstall anything to install others when I switch games anymore, which will make coming back to them a whole lot easier!

Dedric explains he found a few emails from some of Flora's friends who knew the Willowisp's had left Moonlight Falls. Two of them said they went to the Fairy Realm for a brief period of time but left to live in the world finding court life unbearable. One writer suggests they moved to Dragon Valley as they could easily assimilate in the life of the elves and fairy's that live there.
Alice brings Fawn back inside and gives her a bottle and does a hygiene spell as she is apparently not potty trained yet. She fixes several meals to help tide them over for the next few days and then offers her condolences to Pip and Dahlia.
They go to the diner and talk quietly about what has happened. Jennifer and Marshall join them. Jennifer found an article in one of the papers about the disappearance of Nissa Willowisp Moyrn and the search. Nothing else is mentioned until months later. Marshall found a small article in the social section indicating that the Willowisp family has moved. The papers are a jumbled mess, out of order and they will continue searching to see if they can get more detailed information.
Jennifer, the ever inquisitive journalist, asks Dedric about Flora's death. "What do you think happened if it wasn't her time to go?
"Fairys live longer lives than humans and unless a mortal injury occurs it is unusual for one to just die in their sleep before time. The Fates know when it is time and we can sense it as well in order to prepare for that final journey. Flora was in her early elder status. She had lots of time left. So, it is a mystery to me as well as to her son."
Dedric looks at Alice "Can you raise a ghost without your Mom helping?"
Alice nods, but qualifies. "I'm not as strong in my talent as my Mom. It will need to be on the full moon when the my powers are strongest. You and Wisteria may have to give me a boost with your fairy powers."
Dedric looks from one to the other. "Does anyone object to us attempting to raise Flora and have a chat with her? I will talk with Pip and Dahlia to be sure they have no objections. We may discover what happened by talking with Flora. Alice I know you are skilled enough to make a serving of Ambrosia. Flora may want a bite to eat if she doesn't want to go back."
No one objects.
Adam suggests they go to the graveyard and pay their respects to Flora and do a little night fishing for some necessary ingredients for the Ambrosia.

Last time I'd played was late-October 2018, but with the 27GB download to reinstall and my limited hdd space on the old computer, I'd never gotten around to it, but this one has a MUCH (8 times) larger hdd so I shouldn't have to uninstall anything to install others when I switch games anymore, which will make coming back to them a whole lot easier!
