Hi friends
I need help getting the last lots in HS, as I didn’t get them all in my
treasure hunt I will gift randomly to does who help me find the lots, be it you build it or you used time searching the exchange for me.
I will however only gift from clean wish lists,
what’s that?
for easy gifting I surgest you have a link to your my-page on the old forum, then I'm sure I'm gifting you.
In the next posts, I will post some lists of what I’m still missing
And some inspiration pictures.
You can see my work on the legacy home
here
I might post other in progress pictures here as well.
Download the home itself, Fjordholm Manor
here.
If some of the lots or sims you seen me use, interest you I be happy to help you find the link so you can enjoy the lots too. Many of the lots has been made for me by the DNA team, others I have found in their old work or in GreenCats studio, others again have been gifts or entered in my hunt. A few are my own work or remodel of EA creations, does I have uploaded and you will find in my studio.
Thank you for your help!
if you want to help me and others out - and get even bigger chance to get gifted, visit this thread:

- No CC
- No CAP patterns (or in other words only EA patterns) using them to making art is fine; just don’t upload the pattern with the lot.
Especially for lots:
- No hidden lights if it can be avoided – I prefer actual lightning fixtures.
- No spawners! (or at least limit them and tell me they are there, because when you move the lot around to place it they duplicates’)
- Beside spawners and hidden lights buydebug is fine, so are other build cheats as long as the lot works.
- Any EP and SP up to and including into the furture can be used.
- Any store items can be used (except if it is on my wish list) as I own most the store, but not all promotional items (Dr. Pepper, T-Mobil, preorder, Origin order etc.) ask if you are unsure. And still if it isn’t a main thing I can replace it quickly with similar items.
- Realistic lots matching the world.
- Old builds and rebuilds of EA lots are just fine.
Well that’s in a perfect world, of course I can remove spawners and hidden lights if it is to much…. The CC and CAP patterns is a must though.
Especially for sims:
- Normal sims = no berries or supernatural, only exception I do want a few witches (1 or 2 families) and maybe a genie if he/she looks normal
- Sims that already have skills and job would be great
- Housholds that can be split in 2 or more homes can be a bonus, then the sims know sims in other homes.
- I want variety in the town, so all new families can’t be mom+dad+ small kids …. All ages is needed, some household might just be some friends living together.
- It might be a Nordic looking world, but sims comes from all over, the sims need to reflect that.
- Hidden traits would be a bonus.
Mixed houses – villas, huts, shacks, double houses (work with LN apartment marker), mansions, apartment buildings, chain houses (work with LN apartment marker), 🐸🐸🐸🐸 camp, group of small homes (work with LN apartments) small farms, homes for all kind of sims.
Lot size mostly small and medium.
Placement in town: all areas
Needed requirements (minimum):
- Basic bath and kitchen
- They all need to be family homes! So minimum of sleeping mom+dad + 3 kids + 1 a toddler
- Easy routing
- Season safe
- Activities for all ages, in other words stuff for the sims to do.
- 1 or more items that helps a skill, in the end I like the skilling and activity objects in the difrent homes to reflect the home, and be difrent from building to building.
remodeled homes from Dragon Valley, Aurora Skies, Moonlight Falls, Hidden Springs and Midnight Hollow... maybe even from other worlds, could very well work... some will need lots of work + a relocation to better fitting lot, som would be great but do to being on wrong lot size need to be rebuild.
no more magic lots
It can be 1-4 homes as 2 of the kids are grown.
Description of sims:
Isak is quite the character, he is Josefine’s older brother.
Isak work in politics, and is already the president.
He is married to his childhood sweetheart Laura.
Isak is insan and perfectionistic, he have trouble sleeping as the slightest thing will wake him up.
Laura is a farm girl, love the outside, and is very family oriented, her goal is to perfect her charisma and her guitar skills.
They have 3 kids, the twins Cherry and Hannibal that just turned YA and little brother Anton that is a teen.
Cherry is neurotic but very lucky, she aim to be a masterful magician.
Hannibal is a genius and loves to be outside, he aim to master 3 skills to perfection.
Anton is brave but absentminded; he wants to be an astronaut.
They also have a few large dogs.
Hanna, Isaks twin sister will also be moveing to HS
Hanna is artistic and, works in fashion, and have almost reach her goal of becoming fashion phenomena.
She is very snobbish and that’s might be why she never found a guy (or girl) quite good enough for her.
She is a vegetarian, and loves purple.
Link to them all: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8307199
when they get to Hidden Springs they will either all live in 1 home, or upto 4 difrent homes, as Hanna, Hannibal and Cherry might all get their own place. The elderly dogs and atleast 1 young dog will stay with Laura, 1 of the young dogs might go with Hannibal.
Isak and Hanna would want to live in Area C or D, but Laura being a farm girl wants greenery around her.
Hannibal would like to move into area A
Cherry is a city girl and wants to be in area B, C or D
The main family:
Josefine Majgaard and ere husband Pascal that she meet as a teen in French.
They have 6 kids and a horse.
Josefine works as at the teather as a rockstar, well she is well on her way.
Pascal works from home making nectar.
The 6 kids is
Kurt the oldest but very shy computer geek, he is also the only boy.
Louisa a rebelius animal loving girl, she is also very perspective.
Maria who inherit her mom’s talent for music but got a very hot temperament
Ninette a very athletic and discipline girl
Olivia a night owl who hates to be outside.
Rebekka, that is just a toddler and very easy to impress
I be building a home in area D, for them myself as I want to be able to upload the family with their home.
To download my legacy family:
The family on a 10x10 with a few items in the inventory http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8304146
The family in the old home in Twinbrook http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8303961
Note that some items is strangely colored as they earlier had cap patterns, but I removed those.
My Hidden Spring is realistic, and Nordic (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and island) inspired, but with a twist of the world inspiration.
It is set in present time.
I imagine it was originally a settlement in the mountain woods, consisting of farms (area A). Then a small town emerged in the early 19th centery and started growing (area B ). All the time the farms was still very active as many are today. The town is very proud of its old myths and legends (your way to add a little magic) though you will find NO super natural sims in the town beside maybe 1 or 2 witches.
As the town grew in waves from the 1850’s and onward homes were built and richer sims moved in. Allso, some building were over time converted to other uses.
It is a very family friendly town, as every sim home have room for at least 2 parents and 3 kids (1 being a toddler). That doesn’t mean all homes are big, some families might live in just 1 room! But it does mean that the town priorities family friendly public lots.
Map
Note: this map is almost empty; there are already more lots on it than what you see. Also many of the parks in the mountains and forest have been kept, and will just get small adjustments, same goes for the graveyard that I’m making a little less spooky.
are more upto date map
lates update in map, from 2 wiuw points:
Area A: original wooden farming area. Here you will find the sims that work the land (fishing and gardening) the inventors, the artists that wants to be part of nature, and the alchemists (and maybe a witch) It is NOT a rich area, though you might find 1 big horse ranch. It is also here you might find a 🐸🐸🐸🐸 camp.
Many homes here is crowded or poor. Though homes located on the big road are generally more well of, and more like the homes of area C, keeping their rustic look.
The woodsy area, local wateringhole, mystik museum, alkymi shop, horse center and stable and criminal hiddeout.
the graveyard
the church, on the main road just on the boarder between main town and the woods.
up in the hills the look out
wiuw from the look out
Area B: Town center, mostly the shops, city hall, schools and the park, it is a mix of old and modern, though most of the buildings are from before 1970, and maybe refurnished later for another use. You will also find a few apartment buildings and normal homes here.
Area C: The more normal home areas, a few parks and other community lots. No one here is especially wealthy. No one here has a horse at home. The style in building goes from early in the town to late in the town’s history. The home can be double houses or apartments.
In this area gigantic master bedrooms with their own bath and walk in closet are unlikely to see. Bathrooms are family bathrooms, so a Jack/Jill bath room is just as rare.
the stadium and the moviestudio
The stadium and the atletic center (you can just barly see the old tarvan that is now a sports bar)
to the other site of downtown is the sience and hospital center
Just on the way to the wooden area and the graveyard, nicely tucked in the trees, the spa and salon.
Area D : The wealthier homes, also has a few community lots, but prefer solitary from most of the public.
You find big villas and the mansions; here you find the luxury homes. Some homes might have their own stable, depending on where they are placed.
the nice fairy garden and 1 home (the aristocat home a DNA build)
And Yes areas do overlap in the border between them.
My main family will be living in area D (at the old Vanderberg lot), see my work in progess thread, link in post 1.
for the lot size I have written road site first.
I strike them out as they get build/found.
Area A:
1A: 64x60 an old farm, no road connection, room for big family + horses and cat/dog make it so story progression can make the best of that lot. Farming area using the tractor, no training facilities for the horse just a stable, the pasture can be the surrounding landscape. Lot is special and it likely need to be build on that lot.
2A: 20x30, family home, see area description.
3A: 40x30, family home, see area description.
4A: 20x30, family home, see area description.
5A: 40x40, family home, see area description.
6A: 40x30, corner lot, family home, see area description.
7A: 40x30, art center, old glass blower building, stone building
8A: 40x30, family home, see area description.
9A: 30x30, family home, see area description.
10A: 30x20, the old Vault of Antiquity zoned as a small Park, like it to have the old mill wheel on the lot… old mill can then have the toilets and a few fitting items (or be a ruin.. and just put 1 all in 1 bath room as an out house)
11A: 40x30, family home, see area description – could also be a public lot. Maybe a toy/kids shop (savy seller + toy machine)
12A: 30x30, family home, see area description.
13A: 40x30, family home, see area description.
14A: 30x30, family home, see area description.
15A: 40x40, family home, see area description.
Area B:
1B: 30x40 I imagine this will be LN apartments, a 3 level redbrick building from the time the town took of, maybe a changed industrial building. In 3-4 levels a bow ground, with not much free ground. And no really public areas (beside the hall way) the apartment is relatively a starter apartment but still fits the “room for family” criteria. Defiantly have a dumpster out back.
2B: 30x30, shop with savy seller. Selling hobby items, music items, furniture….. if you make a basement I might ad a hidden rabbithole there (or you can do it)
3B: 30x40, I like this to be Pascal’s French gourmet and nectar shop.
4B: 30x40 corner lot, shop with savy seller. Selling hobby items, music items, furniture….. if you make a basement I might ad a hidden rabbithole there (or you can do it)
Area C:
1C: 40x40, family home, see area description.
2C: 40x40, family home, see area description.
3C: 60x60, I would like some chain houses here in LN apartment style, stile family homes. Sharing a playground with room for fun and picnic (playground equipment, maybe a build playhouse, a grill and some picnic tables + some toys) in the middle. Maybe a laundromat as public area.
4C: 30x40, family home, see area description.
5C: 40x40, family home, see area description. (Possible car dealer if 11C is to small)
6C: 40x30, corner lot, family home, see area description.
7C: 40x40, family home, see area description.
8C: 40x30, family home, see area description.
9C: 30x40, family home, see area description.
10C: 40x30, family home, see area description.
11C: 30x40, corner lot, car and bike dealer ship + gasstation
Area D :
1D: 45x45, family home, see area description.
2D: 40x40, family home, see area description.
3D: 60x60, family home, see area description.
4D: 40x30, family home, see area description.
5D: 40x30, family home, see area description.
L: my legacy home
6D: 40x30, family home, see area description.
7D: 60x60, family home, see area description.

I delete anything not needed anymore, which does not mean it can’t be added again.
It is more than possible that I forgot a thing or 2…. But beside the most supernatural lots and items (like vampire lounge and beds) I want all I own to be in that town… on public lot or when I visit another sim family, or if very special a thing I travel to get/see.
The lots (the functions, combining is possible as long as the game allows it):
World adventures
A simfu acadamy
The PC items (from EP or store) even if gone from the list some items could easyly be more than 1 place:
Simfue training
Teppanyaki Grill
Playpen + walker + snuggle swing + changing table(great on any lot where you make kids care area)
The gamling items (yes them all) – at the casino - just missing the 1 armed gambling thingys
Barrier to entry system (please use when fitting, to restrict age or demand entrance money)
The savyseller set - a shop with furniture showing hidden stencils and stencil free options, a toy store, a music shop…. Right now I do have a flower shop… so not that. But beside that it could be an old wearhouse with difrent shops and maybe a café (the bistro set, the uni café a cash register or just a few uni candy/sada automats, or some food stands from season or IP if they work outside resorts or a eat all you can icecram palor using the Barrier to entry system)
Baker's Station (on a public lot)
candyflos
Grandma's Canning Station (on a public lot)
For Uni:
old house transformed to dorm owned by the Majgaards, big but not luxurius?
a small simfu acadamy
Traveling:
Basecamps for:
other worlds? (than DV, MV, IP, LP)
Other travel and vacation lot for the other worlds!?
Gondola (vacation in MV)
not to mention I like deco items used from all over.... maybe a venue have a roof with the russian deco.... maybe the resturant is indian inspired.... maybe the Club is a safarie Club.... maybe you find use for some of the difrent big status in game (also buydebug)
a note on bouncy rides: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/1080/710549.page#12173434
I don't play with celebrities... paperatzis gets to creapy and sudenly social aktivities are imposibel becouse the whole town is a celbrity...
so using the celbrity gift items in a build... home or the best option in a shop..
would be awsome
http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/833471/give-a-gift-of-creation-game-wishlist-wipeout-or-large-simpoint-item-drawn-monday-see-details/p1
also the trailer that actress gets.... that could be a fun extra bedroom in lets say the artists colective lot.... or in a drive way in area c....
inspiration.... this is what I want... old...
Secondly, I have a house I'm currently working on and thought I'd run it by you to see if you're interested. It was for a contest, but I didn't finish on time (although the contest has not been officially closed yet). It is a very large family house with at least four bedrooms, a nursery and in-law suite, built on a 40x40 lot. It is pet-friendly, including a small stable and paddock, and will include many skill items. Here's the front view:
And I links to a few other pictures. Back Yard (it has windows now, I promise!): http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/13438574/#Comment_13438574 And library: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/13531725/#Comment_13531725
that looks amazing
I'm not missing many 40x40 lots though....
beside the pictures in the first threads no I don't have a list or pictures, but it varies very much depending on area of town... and what I have placed already.
I will take pictures now and then to show where I am in the proces.
painted MH homes (so they not so gray) might be good... and homes like yours....
wood and stone...
your build would fit nicely in the woods (area A ) or in the outskirts of the normal living area (area C ) or if for rich sims luxys in those nabohoods, especially the 2 lots up the hill (area D ) ... if is uper end... it could be a very posibel 2D as I love a cabin (luxurius) like building there. I would just have to remove/change the pavment (dirt roade... so pawment looks odd)
yea it is a big project... been o its way over a well year...
edit: would your home be fit for a president and his farm born wife (who is missing the country site) + 3-4 dogs and a teen boy + maybe 1 or 2 adult kids?
becouse then I defently want it (if it is free of CC and CAP) and will reserve spot 2D for it.... I think Laura will like it there.... and she LOVE to have a horse again.
becouse I love it.... and if 1 of my small homes in HS looked like that (thoses in the woods I wouldn't be sad.....
hmm maybe my HS is like if you took DV, MH, M.F, AS and a bit of real life scandinavia... mixed it all toghter..... no... it isn't just mixied... it is time that wnt by... but there could be left overs form the vikings... or middleages... or ..... but it is all in Scandinavia... feeling home to me.
As for the consignment store, yes, that is mine. I'm very proud of it, since I built it before I knew much of anything about building. I'm also terrible about sticking to one building project at a time, so if I find myself looking for something else to work on, I'll keep that in mind and you might get a small cabin out of me in that sort of style. No promises, though. Like I said, I'm a pretty slow builder most of the time. Well, really it's that I'm a slow at furnishing and decorating.
I know what you mean about it being a mix, but not really. In the real world, no place has just a single style of building. There are always preserved historic structures, older refurbished homes, modern buildings that take inspiration from the historic and sometimes places that just go for something completely different. It make sense to have a blend and I think you've thought it out very thoroughly, with laying out the different sections of town as how it grew over time. I'll take another look at MH and 🐸🐸🐸🐸, as I rarely play either of those worlds, as I think about inspiration, too.
or maybe 1 move with Hannibal and then it is only 3
ok if somthingbetter comes I take it....
glad you understand my idea.... the + is it leaves room wide open for interpitation.... ofcourse some buildings is not likly like asian buildings (and then againt he spa is asian inspired) or to minimalistic all with and black (simply becouse I don't want to look to much at it)
it would seem realistic to put a 40x40 on a 45x45 lot....
I'm a slow builder to, thats why I'm looking around after buildings and remodeling others....
the good thing is even if you remodel a MH build and I remodel the same they won't be the same just seem like they build about the same time.
if they do I might have some more area pictures to take and post here + mark a few lots at taken.... any way next thing on my list of doing is to shop houses (and sims) in MH as I don't often play there (to dark) it is a great place to steal stuff.... any one know how big the toy shop is? if it is small enough I could remodel it for my toy/kids shop.... or rater wish for it done as it is low on the list doing shops my self (public lots especially shops are more fun when you didn't make them your self.. in my opinion)
http://www.thesims3.com/search/lotSearch.html?sortBy=mostRecent&dateRange=today&hiddenKeyWord=Keywords&lotSearchCommand.description=desolate&lotSearchCommand.zoneType=0&lotSearchCommand.houseHoldSize=0&lotSearchCommand.lotSize=0000&submit=GO
I have a few other 'older' appearing buildings and homes so I will have to hunt for those from the exchange. I started saving pics of my newer downloads so they are easy to find, but these are older and will have to hunt for the names and try to figure out which is the one I'm trying to find for you.
I've only put a few builds on the exchange and one is a remake of a small cottage from university life. It has CAP in it as I did not realize when I built it that CAP was considered CC. I've learned a lot since then and I use lots of CAP so I don't put stuff on the exchange anymore without a warning. I did a build for futuristic bots that I had built and they were 'all grown up' and ready to leave the nest so to speak. It doesn't have any CAP in it. It may be too futuristic for you world though. It is in my studio if you want to look at those.
The Cowboy and the Mermaid
in area A
the 2 homes at the top are the magic (alcamyst and witchcraft) homes.... and thats all I need
the other big pictures is a little selfsufcian home, the little blue one is a cowded hut, and the little brown one is a home for a big family, who love natur and art with some university interest.
What a still really need in this area is:
the big farm
2 medium farms
artists and inventors homes
+ the public lots (2)
in area C
the big picture shows a corner of the festival lot, acros the street is 1 home + a free lot for a home
the left picture is the festival lot + the conecting old farm house (now a home)
the right picture is from the street below the festival and you see 1 big home and in the background a group of homes using LN apartment marking.
top 2 pictures is on top of the Hill in area C, the one on the left is GC's and is an artist family home the one o the right is a horse ranche. Between them is a 40x40 family home lot (free)
the big pictures is from just abow the stadium looink up the road at a house (more homes in the background.
the 2 small ones are homes in that area to.
I have extreamly many 40x30 and 30x40 lots free especially in area C
bots is not needed... if they ever come to this town it's becouse my sims make them... and I likely sell them fast....
I don't consider CAP directly CC... it just isn't EA made... and I decided to not use it.
the decision became easy when echange broke and uploaded recolered items with CAP patterens was well the pattern didn't make it... so it looked od any way. and I needed to reinstall... so just didn't instal the patterens.. I used to love makeing them for my self and others... and have a few in my studio.
thank you for hunting.
could surly work in area A though.... mix it up a bit and have a crazy inventor family there.... hmmm
do you know if sims will use the bed with the doll on it?
then I don't have to search for you, + some people have difrent names on the 2 forums, so this way I be sure it is you.
@anettesb
Is it what you're looking for?
Here's the link to it on the exchange if it is:
http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8657344
My W/list: http://store.thesims3.com/myWishlist.html?persona=rosey1579
it is very pretty and the right size for many lots, but... it isn't really scandinavian so for my HS it dosn't fit in... it does seem it have all I want when it comes to rooms and items.
I gave it a rec but wont be using it
thank you for offering it
That's fine. I'll just chuck it somewhere nice. I'll try again maybe. I'm busy trying to rebuild Oasis landing, so I'm really getting into this building thing. If something looks "scandinavianish" then I'll send it your way.
My W/list: http://store.thesims3.com/myWishlist.html?persona=rosey1579
Thank you
there is pictures to help on page 1... and as the town evolve there will be posted pictures now and then... + maybe if I find great real life pictures online I post them to
the last 40x40 lot in area A is partly out on the clift.... so it could be a small lighthouse with attached home and a vegi garden + chickens and maybe cows....
it could also make the perfect spot for a clective of artistiv sims (that veuw) and still be the old lighthouse...
yea a light house there would be amazing.
