@Envyfan now that you have Brunch at the Old Mill, you have to go get the lot that was created to showcase the content. It is available on SimGuruKitty's studio page, as is the neighboring lot. They fit together like a couple puzzle pieces up in the hills of Sunset Valley. Because of the odd positioning of 53 and 57 Waterfall Way, they do not easily line up anywhere else (that I have seen.) But, if you pay attention, you can see how the bride that spans the two lots was built and it is easily replicated. So, whenever I place the lot, I just build my own pond next door and create the missing half of the bridge to complete the effect.

1. Short answer: I usually download first, then install.
Long answer: I learned to do that because EA kept asking me to relog-in every 2 minutes. That got maddening. When I'm having trouble installing, I try both ways- directly from store and/or downloading first~then installing, but when I'm having big trouble, usually nothing works. Sometimes it's on EA's end, especially when it won't accept my log ins. Then I know to try later, but it's a real pain when you're excited to get something in your game and they won't let you. In my experience, I notice EA NEVER has technical problems when you want to BUY store items. You can buy away! Haha.
Lately I've been getting error messages when pressing the install button on store items. It says Sims 3 has stopped working.
I have only two mods installed in my game, at present, and oddly, lately, when I remove the mod folder, the error messages go away and I can install.
I've only recently, in the past few weeks, installed mods. Prior to that, I was modless. It's kind of nuts, though, since I used to have all those log in problems constantly and had no mods installed at all at the time. But I'm happy to say that I was able to install a bunch of goodies yesterday. I'm half way through installing all of the Island Escape Compilation (so happy to finally get all that tiki stuff) and then I will work on the India Inspiration items from the Best of 2012 Comp.
It's taking a while to install my stuff because I've been going through the painstaking process of installing some of the compilations, item by item, so as to not duplicate items in the game. I don't know if this is necessary, but thought it might help, especially since I already have many of the items in those compilations already installed from other sets.

I was reading Tegami Bachi, I saw volumes 1-6 at the library when i was picking up one of my holds and i thought "what the heck".

@Goodywood the head start playpen is not on the DD and neither is the tiny prodigies early learning centre (the set it's part of).
The fit as a fiddle violin is also not on the DD. However the Duke of bows renaissance faire is. It is numbers 303, 413 and 455. The spreadsheet (linked in my signature if you need to find it again) has all the details (if you want to do the set), if you look under venue/pc tab it will tell you which venues and pc items are and aren't on the list.

@ninaumi, the first time you record what you own, you will have to manually enter the information. If you are familiar with sorting spreadsheets, you could sort the Item_Owned spreadsheet by the "Part of Set(s) or Compilation(s)" column grouping all the items in a set together. You could mark the first item of a set as owned. Then quickly copy "owned" for the other items contained in the set. You might also be able to filter the "Part of Set(s) or Compilation(s)" column for a specific set.
However, when the DD rotation changes, and you are updating the spreadsheet, you don't have to re-enter that information.

If you have already using a copy of the spreadsheet, you can update yours by downloading the new spreadsheet and copying the "Welcome", "Current & Next Rotation", and Useful Links sheets from the new version to the one you are using. You will have to delete the old sheets and then rename the new ones to remove "Copy of" in the tab name. Alternatively, you can download the new spreadsheet and copy and replace the "Items-Owned" and "Set_Tracking" tabs.

Second, @funkeeferret, I think the "easiest" way to make Hydrangea Hedge available to you is for me to turn off all my EPs/SPs and load the lot. The game will automatically replace items with base game alternatives. The problem with that is it will still load all store content. If I run the game with now store content, then not greenhouse. Epic fail. My mind is bouncing it around though, so we'll see what I come up with. My first thought is to strip out the furnishings of the greenhouse and bandstand and let you re-furnish them yourself.
Thirdly, for anyone who uses NRaas mods, their host site, Wikispaces, is shutting down. But, don't fret, @igazor posted there that they plan to migrate the page to a new site. I wanted to share this information here, since I know many of us depend on their mods for our games to run smoothly. I just happened to stumble onto the info when I popped in to look up some options for Master Controller.

Thanks for the heads up about NRaas! Very late to the mod party (for TS3, anyway)... I just started using their mods and really like them. Good to know they will continue elsewhere.

Use the Sim 3 Website Search Box
Use the Quick Search box located at the top of the page, just to the right of your username. Select "Store" and then enter an asterisk in the "Search" box. The items you own are labeled "Owned". Those available for purchase show the number of simpoints to buy the item. You can refine the search results on the left navigation frame to show only certain categories.
I just want to say THANK YOU for this info, as it worked perfectly for me, and I was even able to find a couple items that I have green download buttons for that I did not know about.

@Jude525 - Earlier today when I went on NRaas' site to get information about a mod, I found out that wikispaces.com will be shutting down later this year. While Igazor did post they will move to another site, just in case, I went through the list and downloaded more mods and the documentation.

@meerkattimeSandy Shoals is one of my favorites. A little over a year ago I plopped it on the beach in Sunlit Tides and my Sims lived there almost the whole OE winter. It did wonders for my mood. Although, I had to track down the seagull sound generator and move it, because it was just way too loud for me. (HINT: if I remember correctly, it is in the lookout tower)

I've only recently, in the past few weeks, installed mods. Prior to that, I was modless. It's kind of nuts, though, since I used to have all those log in problems constantly and had no mods installed at all at the time. But I'm happy to say that I was able to install a bunch of goodies yesterday. I'm half way through installing all of the Island Escape Compilation (so happy to finally get all that tiki stuff) and then I will work on the India Inspiration items from the Best of 2012 Comp.
It's taking a while to install my stuff because I've been going through the painstaking process of installing some of the compilations, item by item, so as to not duplicate items in the game. I don't know if this is necessary, but thought it might help, especially since I already have many of the items in those compilations already installed from other sets.

The fit as a fiddle violin is also not on the DD. However the Duke of bows renaissance faire is. It is numbers 303, 413 and 455. @ninaumi, the first time you record what you own, you will have to manually enter the information. If you are familiar with sorting spreadsheets, you could sort the Item_Owned spreadsheet by the "Part of Set(s) or Compilation(s)" column grouping all the items in a set together. You could mark the first item of a set as owned. Then quickly copy "owned" for the other items contained in the set. You might also be able to filter the "Part of Set(s) or Compilation(s)" column for a specific set.
However, when the DD rotation changes, and you are updating the spreadsheet, you don't have to re-enter that information.

I have another question. Is there some defined way in which we can download individual items that aren't part of any sets or compilations that we own? In other words, how do we differentiate between our individual items that are the part of the set we own and the ones that aren't? I am interested in knowing what are the individual items that aren't part of any set that I own.

Second, @funkeeferret, I think the "easiest" way to make Hydrangea Hedge available to you is for me to turn off all my EPs/SPs and load the lot. The game will automatically replace items with base game alternatives. The problem with that is it will still load all store content. If I run the game with now store content, then not greenhouse. Epic fail. My mind is bouncing it around though, so we'll see what I come up with. My first thought is to strip out the furnishings of the greenhouse and bandstand and let you re-furnish them yourself.
Thirdly, for anyone who uses NRaas mods, their host site, Wikispaces, is shutting down. But, don't fret, @igazor posted there that they plan to migrate the page to a new site. I wanted to share this information here, since I know many of us depend on their mods for our games to run smoothly. I just happened to stumble onto the info when I popped in to look up some options for Master Controller.

@meerkattime Sandy Shoals is one of my favorites. A little over a year ago I plopped it on the beach in Sunlit Tides and my Sims lived there almost the whole OE winter. It did wonders for my mood. Although, I had to track down the seagull sound generator and move it, because it was just way too loud for me. (HINT: if I remember correctly, it is in the lookout tower)
