The Daily Deal List and Sales Help
The Sims 3 Store Daily Deal offers a selected store item at a discounted price for one, two or three hours. Many of the items are discounted at 75% off or more.
The current Daily Deal list, which was introduced on September 23, 2014 at 12:07 a.m. UTC, includes 977 deals. After the 977th deal ends, the deals begin at Deal 1 again. A full rotation of the list takes 82 days. (See this post for background information about the Daily Deal list.)
The first page of this thread has been set up to include the list of the deals, and to include information that was available on the first page of the previous DD threads. To the first time user, this thread contains a lot of information. To help you find the information you are seeking, the first post is a contents list with hyperlinks to posts and threads within the Sims 3 forum to help Simmers own the store or at least as much content as they would like and, to get the most value for their simpoints.
Note - This thread replaces the original "September 2014 Daily Deals Rotation List" thread created by Ximph that you may see referenced in comments below. The original thread is now closed and relevant information from that thread can be found within this thread.

NOTEWORTHY
October 2022 - EA_Cade has confirmed that all Sims 3 content owned in the web store is compatible with the EA app. See the original post here. EA_Cade also provides a link to download Origin Thin Setup should you want to reinstall Origin.
Merelhyn created a thread to provide simmers with guidelines on purchasing all the sets, compilations and venues available in the Sims 3 Store for the least amount of simpoints.
SpiredMoth's Cheapest Paths website provides updates to Merelhyn's guidelines with 2022 costs for the cheapest paths to complete of sets and compilations. SpiredMoth has also created the S3S Tools spreadsheet to help save as many simpoints as possible with your store purchases. The spreadsheet includes the Make Me an Offer Checker and Complete Your Set calculator.

When the Daily Deal (DD) was first introduced, it was truly a daily deal. One item was offered at a discounted price for 24 hours. Over time, the store team has changed the DD from the single item, to list of a few items that rotated over the course of a day or two, to lists that included hundreds of items.
The current list of 977 deals was introduced on September 23, 2014 at 12:07 a.m. UTC. One rotation takes 82 days. While previous DD lists were replaced by others, the store team posted that this list would not be replaced but would continue to rotate indefinitely.
How does the DD Rotation List Work?
All items on the list appear on the Sims 3 Store Daily Deal page in numerical order, the majority for two hours but some for one hour or three hours. When Deal 977 ends, the list repeats starting at Deal 1.

How Can I Find Out What Time My Deal Will Be Offered? What Deal Number are We on?
Unlike the lists that came before, this list has proven to be stable and the times predictable. The DD spreadsheet provides an estimate of the times that each deal will come up on the DD. The full rotation takes 82 days from deal 1 to deal 977. The Current Rotation tab of the spreadsheet indicates the current deal. In addition, we occasionally post the "current" deal and deals for the next 24 hours. Look for posts such as this one.
If you find the spreadsheet, with all of its tabs and information, to be daunting, we have provided a list of the 977 deals in the next posts.

How Long Does It Take to Own the Store
You can own the store sooner than you expect, if you:
Complete Your Set (CYS)
Combining the savings from Daily Deal purchases and the Complete Your Set discount allows you to get the most value for your Simpoints.
What is Complete Your Set
The Complete Your Set feature gives you credit for the individual items you have purchased of a set and offers the set at a discounted CYS price. When a set is offered on the DD, your CYS discount will be reduced. It can even be reduced enough to allow you to complete the set for free. For additional info, read the FAQ page and ajaxpost's post which is quoted a bit further down.

How to Take Advantage of Cascades or The Domino Effect of Owning Sets

In this thread, Simmers discuss how they have taken advantage of the Daily Deal to trigger various cascades taking them closer and closer to owning the store. While this thread was most active in 2015 to 2017, it is still worth reviewing the discussions Simmers had on their own experiences and calculations with getting most value for their simpoints.
What is a Cascade
When you complete a set that is include in a larger set or compilation, you reduce the CYS of the larger sets. Eventually, your CYS will be low enough to enable the green download button on the set or compilation. After clicking on the wonderful green download button, you will own all the sets included. Because of overlap of sets between larger sets or compilations, you may get green download buttons for other sets and compilations. For older store items, because the sets were included more often in more than one compilation, the cascade effect can trigger many green download buttons.

It usually works but it does not for everyone. Apparently, you must buy the first item for the playground set and cannot be gifted the item. So, for about 400 sp, you get two compilations that are worth a lot. There is some overlap between the two compilations but Tip Top Toddler Collection is worth 2,795 sp and Kids! 2010 is worth 4,950 sp.

Note: - These spreadsheets have been designed to be downloaded and customized by the user. As of July 2018, these spreadsheets are not updated regularly. We will update a specific spreadsheet upon request. Either post a message on the DD thread or send Me1620 a message. (Tabs are included in each spreadsheet to allow you to update your own at the start of a rotation.) Past deals are not normally deleted on the online versions similar to how the spreadsheet team does on the main DD spreadsheet.

If you have already using a copy of the spreadsheet, you can update yours by downloading the new spreadsheet and copying the "Welcome", "Current & Next Rotation", and Useful Links sheets from the new version to the one you are using. Crinrict's Sims 3 Store Browser
Crinrict developed a program/database to track your store purchases. You can download her S3S Browser from her blog. (Her blog is a very useful resource for Sims 3.) Click on the S3SBrowser link in the menu bar to go to the downloads and tutorial pages. She also started a thread on the forum S3SBrowser - A tool to keep your store purchases organised.
The S3S Browser does not install anything into your game; it simply checks your Downloads folder and DCBackup folders and marks items/sets as owned within the program. The opening screen shows the percentage of the store items you own. Note that her database includes discontinued or exclusive items, such as the Dr. Pepper set, that we will unlikely have the opportunity to ever purchase from the store. According to the program, I own 92% of the store and 99% of items with "a link to EA store specified". I do own 100% of items currently available in the EA store. In the S3S Browser, there is an option to manually mark items as owned.
A great feature on the opening screen is "List of not owned Items".
Kellycot1 The Simdex
Kellycot1 is a member of the I Own the Store Club. She created a catalogue/checklist of the Sims 3 store in PDF format. This excellent check list has photos of the items that are categorized into sets and themes. You manually check off the items you own and add comments too.
Use the Sim 3 Website Search Box
Use the Quick Search box located at the top of the page, just to the right of your username. Select "Store" and then enter an asterisk in the "Search" box. The items you own are labeled "Owned". Those available for purchase show the number of simpoints to buy the item. You can refine the search results on the left navigation frame to show only certain categories.
Here are detailed instructions
Orange Border and Check Marks on Sets Product Page
On the sets product page, scroll down to where you see thumbnails of the items in the set. The items you own (or at least the ones the store recognizes that you own) will have a faint thin orange border, and for sets eligible for CYS discount, the items will have orange check mark.* There are definitely many instances where people own the items but they are not showing as owned. First, try logging out of the site and log back in. If that does not fix the problem, you may wish to contact customer service.

* Note: Individual items, which are included in a compilation that is CYS but also in a subset that is not CYS, will show the orange check mark only in the set which is eligible for CYS. For example, World Inspiration Compilation, which is eligible for CYS, shows orange check marks on owned items, but the same items do not show a check mark in Africa Inspiration Collection which is not eligible for CYS.
Sometimes, items, which were received from Origin as a bonus for purchasing worlds or expansion packs, do not show as being owned.
- Calents confirmed that if you used a code from Monte Vista to get the Aims Co. Choc-O-Falls Fountain, it will not show as owned or count for CYS until you go through customer service to get it marked. The promo-code one is numbered differently from the store one.
- Rionismyname confirmed that when she purchased Seasons, she received Mother Russia free. The items in the set are shown as owned but not the set.

Helpful tips to follow after you purchase an item
Anytime you purchase something or receive a gift, especially a set, it is a good idea to check the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet includes many tabs that include information about which sets/compilations an item/set is a part of. On the "Current Rotation" tab, scroll far far to the right after all the time zones for the information. The Sort by Item/Set tab has less columns so you can see the Part of Set(s), or Compilation(s) column much easier.
You can also check out which sets an item is a part from the Sims 3 website. At the bottom of the items product page, if the item is included in a set, you will see a picture of the set. If there are blue arrows to the right or left of the photo, clicking the arrow will scroll to photos of additional sets. You can click on the photo and go to that set's page to see your CYS or hopefully a green download button. As well, you can navigate to the set's product page, click on the photo of one of the items and open its product page. Then follow the technique I just described check to see which sets may overlap. Hope that makes sense.

Buying SimPoints & Mystery Bundle Items
You can purchase SimPoints from the EA App. As posted by Puzzleaddict, "Open the EA App, click My Collection, then Sims 3, then DLC, and "Sims 3 Currency" should be the first listing. This is the same as SimPoints." If you still have the Origin App installed, SimPoints can be purchased through that app. (See this thread in the EA forum on how to purchase Simpoints since October 2022.)
In the past, point bundles came with a Mystery Bag item for free. You can view pictures of the items available in each bundle, on the Mystery Bag Items page in Crinrict's Sims 3 Help Blog. With the introduction on January 6, 2016 of the new system to purchase SimPoints, it appears that the Mystery Bag Items are no longer offered. If you have purchased points through the new process, please post in this thread whether or not you received one of the Mystery Bag Items.
Bonus Ad Points
Note: As of July 2017, the Bonus Ad feature has been disabled because the ads were not paying out simpoints. See this post for further information.

will open an ad. You will be rewarded with 5 simpoints for every ad you play. The blue box will pop up in the left navigation frame on any of the web pages in the Store section of the Sims 3 website. It appears in the space between the link to My Page Goodies and the Make Me an Offer link. The number of ads that will appear depends on your location and the number of sponsors in your area. Browse for the ads on all pages under the Store section. That includes the main store page, wishlist pages, gifting pages, purchase history, Best Sellers, Complete Your Set, Make Me an Offer, Sale page, Daily Deal, the Shopping Cart, the content pages, and My Page Goodies.

Post Your Progress in the DD Thread
Our DD thread is still one of the most active in the Store forum. By posting your progress in this thread, and following the other tips posted above, you make it easier for other DD Stalkers, both past and present, to gift you. You may want to give us a heads up on sets you are going for a day or two before they are scheduled to appear on the DD. That way, those of us with extra simpoints could purchase items from the set to lower the CYS discount - hopefully to get you the green download button.

Q. I own all the items in the store but some sets, such as The Final Frontier Set show the "Buy Now" button. Also, I bought the standard version of a world and venue separately so I don't own the gold version. I don't want to rebuy the items. Will I still be considered for the I Own the Store Club?
A. Of course you own the store. Regardless of how the store team has set up the store pages, if you purchased, for example, the Forcefield of Dreams Bed from Futureshock Loft Collection set, it is the same item included in The Final Frontier Set.
A good indication that you own the store is the congratulatory message generated by the Make Me an Offer Machine

Backing Up
Sims3packs are the uninstalled store content files. After installing the Sims3packs, the files should be moved out of the downloads folder and saved on an external hard drive, the cloud, DVDs or USB stick. The external hard drive and cloud are the preferred storage medium as they are more reliable than DVDs or USB sticks. I would also suggest making two copies of the backups.
Many of the Sims3packs are not named to easily identify the set or item. For instance, BeachCAS2Set.Sims3Pack is Beach Bummin’. Crinrict’s S3S browser includes this information.
After installing the Sims3packs, the store content files are saved in various folders in your Sims 3 folder. The following is advice from Ciane's thread,

Q. If I have all my store purchases backed up and get a new computer after the store closes how do I get the items back in game?
A. After you install and patch your game on the new computer, you can copy and paste your backup folders in their respective folders on the new computer. See the end of this post on page 26 for a discussion.
