Well, I removed the Mods folder, AND the DCCcache folder, and Sandy Shoals installed. But its not called the Sandy Shoals, its called the CatalogsObjects/Name:FeaturedLook_Beach. But at least its there now!

@KevinL5275 - Fantastic! There are a few venues and sets with "sloppy" names in the catalogue. A lot of the old venues go by their lot numbers. I am about to install Sandy Shoals on my newest computer. I will definitely move out the mod folder.

Ugh, I'm missing like a half dozen store lots. This should be fun.
As for the lot names, I tend to place the lots into an empty game and save them back into the bin with the "proper" names so that they are easier to find when I want to use them. Trying to ID a lot in those tiny "previews" is just too difficult. This time I'm also going to "export" the renamed lots so that I can save them to a backup folder for easy re-installation if they should disappear again from the bin.
Took me a couple hours, but I've got everything restored except Graham's Pet Swap. A notorious tough nut, since it isn't downloadable. I'm 99% sure I have a pure version in a saved game. But, I'm done for tonight. I'll pursue it tomorrow. Worse case, I'll install Sim 3 back on to the Mac (no, I never did sell it) and just install Pets. It should install the pet store.
I did get all the others restored into my game, and I've made a complete set of exported lots so that I don't have to go through this next time they go missing. Just install them like any custom lot. As soon as Graham's has joined the list I will burn the folder to DVD for safe keeping. It just occurred to me; what if I have a disc already made and just did all this for nothing? it's been a strange week. had to cancel my birthday party, due to half my guests being sick with the flu and the other half unable to find babysitters. i guess that's the price of being the only childfree person in this town.
my birthday was kinda... well, it was a day. we spent a bunch of it on the road, since my FIL had to get some tests at a hospital in another city... 2 hours there and 2 hours home. i hate long car rides, and it's SO not how i wanted to spend my day. but at least hubs took me for a nice dinner out before he had to go to work.
i'm still torn between master suite & 70s/80s/90s. but i haven't been playing much lately (i say, as i boot up ts2 ultimate collection lol). hope everyone else is doing well!

Thanks @Lexers615, I think I knew that at some point, but haven't needed to know it for a long time, so forgot. And, yes, it worked just fine for me. @Merelhyn It may just be the store being the store. Maybe be patient and try it again tomorrow. Or on a day starting with a "T?" The store is so annoyingly inconsistent. As I'd mentioned, it had me locked out almost two days for no apparent reason.
Oh, and by "it worked" I mean the store downloaded the file and the launcher claims to have installed it. We'll see what happens when I boot the game and go looking for the actual lot in the bin.
PS The purchase history is also the only way to get back to certain limited edition items, such as the Prius ECO Pack and the Iams Pet Starter Kit, which just happen to be on the same page of my store purchases.
Ok, that's everything back in place. BUT, I almost threw out my complete/original DCCache folder!!!! I would have had to reinstall all my store and cc content. It wouldn't have been he77, since I have all the store files stored locally, grouped in folders for ideal installation order, but it wouldn't have been a fun way to spend a day either. That was close.

About not being able to download items such as Graham's Pet Swap Shop, have you seen Valgons' thread. He provides a spreadsheet with links to the store items allowing you to by pass purchase history.
I believe there are two versions of his spreadsheet. I just used the spreadsheet from this thread STORE MEGA LIST 2.0 - ENTIRE PURCHASE HISTORY IN 1 FILE (The DD spreadsheet has a link to his thread on the Useful Links sheet. )
I am providing you with the link to download the pet shop, so you can see if the method works for you before you get the spreadsheet.
Here are the steps to follow to download an item
No matter which web browser you use, clear your Internet Explorer caches/history/cookies as that is the browser that the launcher uses.
Create a clean set of Sims files in My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3
Open the Launcher and Log in but do not start the game
Open your web browser and paste the following in your address bar - sims3://download/?ofbId=OFB-SIM3:41103
The Pet Shop hopefully will appear in your Launcher on the Downloads tab

@KevinL5275 - Fantastic! There are a few venues and sets with "sloppy" names in the catalogue. A lot of the old venues go by their lot numbers. I am about to install Sandy Shoals on my newest computer. I will definitely move out the mod folder.

Ugh, I'm missing like a half dozen store lots. This should be fun.
As for the lot names, I tend to place the lots into an empty game and save them back into the bin with the "proper" names so that they are easier to find when I want to use them. Trying to ID a lot in those tiny "previews" is just too difficult. This time I'm also going to "export" the renamed lots so that I can save them to a backup folder for easy re-installation if they should disappear again from the bin.

I did get all the others restored into my game, and I've made a complete set of exported lots so that I don't have to go through this next time they go missing. Just install them like any custom lot. As soon as Graham's has joined the list I will burn the folder to DVD for safe keeping. It just occurred to me; what if I have a disc already made and just did all this for nothing? Guess I'll find out when I go to put the new disc away with my Sims 3 installation discs.

I find Graham's Pet Swap in my purchase history with no problem but it's not downloadable from there, @Lexers615, as @Jude525 said.
it's been a strange week. had to cancel my birthday party, due to half my guests being sick with the flu and the other half unable to find babysitters. i guess that's the price of being the only childfree person in this town.
my birthday was kinda... well, it was a day. we spent a bunch of it on the road, since my FIL had to get some tests at a hospital in another city... 2 hours there and 2 hours home. i hate long car rides, and it's SO not how i wanted to spend my day. but at least hubs took me for a nice dinner out before he had to go to work.
i'm still torn between master suite & 70s/80s/90s. but i haven't been playing much lately (i say, as i boot up ts2 ultimate collection lol). hope everyone else is doing well!

Oh, and by "it worked" I mean the store downloaded the file and the launcher claims to have installed it. We'll see what happens when I boot the game and go looking for the actual lot in the bin.
PS The purchase history is also the only way to get back to certain limited edition items, such as the Prius ECO Pack and the Iams Pet Starter Kit, which just happen to be on the same page of my store purchases.

Sometimes I have troubles installing items, or I need to try to download two or three times, but with Graham's Pet Swap Shop, no matter what I try, I can't seem to download it.
Have you tried checking its checkbox then clicking the blue download button? You might have to disable popup blockers though...

La-Di-Da Windows by BahHaus was skipped and replaced by Once Upon a Time Cottage- Woodsman's Chair.
Deal 145, Edwardian Expression Kitchen- Graceful Gelatin Taste and Style Sculpture, should be the current deal. However, the current deal is Once Upon a Time Cottage- Woodsman's Chair. The deal is showing as having just over an hour remaining with Edwardian Expression Kitchen- Graceful Gelatin Taste and Style Sculpture as the next deal. The deal is The Gentlemen's Lounge Collection which does follow the list.
