About the whole M-preg thing, I just meant that it was possible, not that you got surprise pregnancies from aliens like in the old games (Maxis wants those random elements out). I would like to see it happen as a result of alien-human relationships though, like regular parents but with the roles reversed. ANYWAYYYYY I'm…
Personally I don't see a reason to bash any of The Sims games as they all have their strong/weak points and were mostly made by the same people. If you do then you're essentially hating on the studio who made a game you loved. Constructive criticism is always good, just keep it in good tone. With that aside, I'll say I'm…
@SimGuruMax Do Sims prioritize sinks in the same room they cooked the food in? That seems to be a good solution since there are sinks in nearly all kitchens. If not, as long as it's feasible it seems like it's worth doing.
I play pretty strictly with my "normal" Sims too so I can understand how you feel with managing a whole family. I don't think I've ever played the Sims with a bigger household than one couple. I think I have a few ideas on how to make it a bit easier. 1. Cook family-size meals ahead of time. It sometimes helps with my…
@NoWayJose527 I see where you're going with the differing playstyles. However, I'd say that it was The Sims 3 that was the sandbox, and The Sims 4 that's the "gamier" game. The Sims 4 gives explicit goals and rewards for performing certain actions, such as giving decorations for throwing good parties, whereas I don't…
@hannahpractice In Build Mode, go to the walls and rooms section, you should see options for curved foundations and decks. Plop down a room with a curved fence and replace it with the fence you desire. I hope that helps. @Lizziemay12 You should find roof trimming options directly under the roofing options in magazine view.…
@Writin_Reg While I agree that the odd game out is The Sims 3, I still think it was a great game in it's own right, even if flawed. I personally love interacting with Sims more than a city, so that's why I prefer The Sims 4 with emotions to the open world and rabbit holes of The Sims 4 (I remember being mostly disappointed…
@harryjames009 I'm glad to see someone who's thinking like me. I think it would be a healthy attitude if we made it clear what we will and will not pay for, but didn't exaggerate the game as being the biggest disappointment of the decade. @Buckinghart I'm sorry you weren't exactly entranced by the game. I can understand if…
The Sims community (and the Internet at large) I think is just being negative and quick to jump to conclusions. The Sims 4 is really popular right now (it's in the top 5 most watched games on Twitch right now), and will very likely be a long-term success as the community calms down and new content is added (free or paid).
@harryjames009 @Zolt65 I appreciate that you don't think of certain features being "removed" or "missing" from this game as compared to the last one. I just wanted to bring up that some people REALLY want certain features that were in past games. The Sims 4 is a lovely game, and my favorite of the series as far as base…
This is the weirdest thing I've seen the forums focus on in a while (as in, not that long). Anyway, I've seen pictures and videos of men doing their business standing up, and even a stream (yuck, at least it just looks like water). It may just be a matter of their bladder meter or random chance, it's just not common. All…
I'm actually having trouble finding custom content, and whenever I see Tumblr pages, I can't find the download link (But then again, I don't use Tumblr). Any help would be appreciated.
I think relationships may have more staying power when you reach a new level in the relationship (such as going from friend to good friend). I wouldn't know for sure, but I'd like slower decay too.
@Wanderer1812 The reason hairstyles aren't unisex is because the male and female Sims have different head shapes. The blogger @renzilla mentioned even said that the hairstyles will clip through a lot of clothes because of it. That said, I'd love different hair textures too. Just hope someone's willing to take up modeling…
You know what I'd love? I'd really appreciate emotional traits for all the emotions in the game. Like ones that makes you tense, energized, embarrased, or dazed (which I've only seen once yet). At least ones that affect these emotions. The Gurus have said they make the game more fun, and I'd appreciate as much variety…
I figure it's worth putting up here. If you post a thread asking for a certain mod or style, someone may be nice enough to take up your request. I've mostly only seen color mods for outfits, but furniture may start getting attention soon now that the game's out.
I don't know if you can "convert" female hairstyles to male, but I think it's possible to make a custom hairstyle that's pretty close to what you have there. Personally I'd like longer male hair options to match my Simself better (Nothing like my avatar...).
I would like it if you put a guide to all the build ad live mode controls inside the game itself somewhere, maybe in the help section? It would lessen the number of web browser I'd need up when I forget something to effectively nil.
@camman1995 So the Limited Edition is separate from what will be the regular Sims 4? This still makes the choice pretty tough, but thanks for the info.
Since there are lots in The Sims 4 on water in teaser videos, I'm guessing they'll be in the base game in Sims 4. I don't know if it'll just be a building you visit, or if you can build yourself one as a home, but it's likely in the game. If it's not actually going to be, they'll have to add it soon!
The Sims 3 had it's world editor given out later on if I remember. Sims can also move between worlds in 4, so you may be able to play with neighborhoods that your starting Sims don't live in. You'd be moving between clones of the same two cities, but at least there are places to put your other Sims.
The secret is the color coding. I wanted everything to match as close as possible to look more "toony" and iconic, and whenever something couldn't match (like the gloves) I just made it a color that complements it well. @rosemow She may be have the "Good" trait, but she does aspire to be as mischievous as possible!
@zombieghostgirl Thank you! My Origin handle in the gallery is "BarbaricSW" without quotes. The Sim's name is Lavender Joy. Hope other people see this! Hint, searching "Lavender Joy" may not work, search "Lavender" and she'll pop up near the top of the list. Hope you enjoy, and check out some of my other Sims! I might make…
@bamcam30 A goth girl? My sister's a goth, might recreate her then! But I was going to wait until she played around with the demo herself, so I might not... . As for the other suggestions, I'll look into them and what I think, thanks! Don't stop though, I wanna hear as many suggestions as reasonable.
My Simself is a bit different from my avatar... But I think it's about as close as I can get to a copy of me. He goes by a slightly different name too.
Here's one of my favorite creations. I tried to go for the "cute cartoony/doll" look. You can do interesting stuff in this version of the Sims. Look up "Lavender" without quotes and you'll see her in the gallery.
Do these styles replace any hair colors or does it add on to the list? This looks really fun, but I like all the hair colors in the demo too and don't want to lose them.
