I was going to attempt this one but time just run away from me. It would have been another house for Novak though - I even went so far as to pull up his wiki page to see if I could get a better idea of his real-world tastes. Other people made lovely houses for him though; he won't notice the lack from me :)
Lovely to see all the different house inspirations. It would have been nice to see at least one from each object, but oh well ^^ Aquacatt - where did you get the gears pattern you used in one of the bedrooms? I went looking for patterns like that for my steampunk house and couldn't find any :(

Everyone's houses look lovely - it makes me wish I was able to do one. I started a house but I definately won't have the time. It's a pity because I indulged recently in some store items that would have been perfect for this build and haven't had a chance to use them elsewhere :) I think I'm just going to have to wait for…
I would love to build the Generations one (even though I don't have Generations) but I haven't even found the time yet to finish my Centennial Vale house :(

I had about three different ideas, and I actually started one ... but I'm off for Christmas now, so it won't get finished. Hope everyone else has fun making a house - just the start was lots of fun for me :)
Hello! So, I've never posted in here before, because, to be honest, the 950 page long thread intimidated me! Since it was restarted I've managed to actually keep up with it though, and read it as it progressed. I don't build much outside of competitions (especially with the WoW Cataclysm expansion coming up/due today…
I placed :o Oh my... *dies of shock* Grats everyone! There were a great many gorgeous cottages entered. I suppose this means I'll have to actually make a signature :)
I started on my redesign, but while I was happy with the insides, I wasn't happy with the way the outside was going to turn out. At least, not without a bigger budget - my vision was a little expensive ;) Maybe next time!
The house: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=3408038 The media: http://tamlynsims.livejournal.com/10710.html Now I'll go back and look over all the other cottages :) Edit: LionessInMN, your story doesn't appear to possess most of its pictures?
Thanks, Kitkat ^^ A whole spurt of judging there! We certainly appreciate everything all the judges do (well, I do, and I presume I'm not far off in speaking for others ;)).

Regarding ChoasMod: Keep in mind it can be very very slow - you might click on it, think it's doing nothing, and move away. Click, wait, and it might come up. I thought mine wasn't working for ages because of that, then I got distracted after I clicked on it one time :p Regarding Assignment: Ugh. I think my main trouble…
Jaylf, I had that problem with my Sims Libs build. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I could make it disappear temporarily by smoothing with CFE. But it always came back again. It was because of the aquarium, I'm sure. I don't know if you've done an aquarium, thus the size but it'll be something similar ;p
