    Experience level: Intermediate

Lot Name: Cabin Point - 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom

Lot address, size, and final cost: 16 Dean Road in Bridgeport, 20x30, Furnished: 74,980 Unfurnished: 32,942

Details and Rational: I decided to try a home from bridgeport and this cabin seriously stuck out for me. You have all the stars homes right outside the city and then this little cabin. So I decided to have a up and coming star I created move in and redo it for a lady who wants to be single and at some point...famous. She has plenty of space for expansion if she likes but enough space to throw some nice parites right away. A vehicle for commuting, and a hot tub to wash the stress away or romance her latest love. I wanted it a bit modern, but didn't want to completely take away from the original build. So I added a bit of a romantic atomosphere for our single lady to come home to and an inside atomosphere anyone can enjoy.

Credit to any simmers for custom content you used: None, I got rid of it all and decided to challenge mself by only using game or store items! :)

@ mgolden27 : That is the same cabin I used for my first Bridgeport home. You have transformed it so well I did not even recognize it. Excellent job.  -EQ

Thanks so much! :D I enjoyed your build as well. :D

Jeca011- I enjoyed your redo as well. The only thing I might have done was use a bit more of the money available and added the curtains for the large windows, so it gives the look of being able to shut the world out. :D

Is anyone else having trouble uploading lots? I haven't been able to in days and I've got no cc at all.

I have a couple of questions:

    1. I see that some people have a back story is this required/criteria for judging? I only ask because I decided to go back in time with mine and try to give it a quaint old country feel....it was kinda modern before so I wouldn't be able to say it's been refurbished.
    2. Are we judged on stuff outside of the lot boundaries ie do we lose points if its done in a different style to those next to it?

Um...think that's it. If the answer to these questions are no I'll hopefully have an entry ready on time, otherwise....maybe not, lol

Welcome missroxor! My understanding is that your "re-design" can take whatever track you feel led to take. If you send it back in time, that is still a re-design :) Just be sure to include your thoughts regarding design choices in your details and rationale section of the entry form. As a judge, I would not penalize a lot for not fitting with the other lots around it. If you find the contrast jarring in your pics though, you can always delete the surrounding lots picture-taking purposes.

    Good luck on your entry!

Thanks for your reply :) Of course now that I've said I'm gonna do it I'm having a major melt down over the decor for the last 2 rooms and I still have the dreaded exterior to go, lol. Well, here's hoping I get it finished

    Hello,

Can we add in columns? If not they're easy to delete but I just want to be sure. :)

I started on my redesign, but while I was happy with the insides, I wasn't happy with the way the outside was going to turn out. At least, not without a bigger budget - my vision was a little expensive ;) Maybe next time!

Downstairs is the entry, living room, dinning room, kitchen, pantry and bathroom, aswell as a huge wrap around deck. I've used a tonn of CC and store items in my house and I don't think I'll have time to go and find all the links and type it all up, if I don't finish tonight I probably won't finish because I'm busy tomorrow. So are we allowed to submit an entry with pics etc but not actually upload the house?...and if we do that do we still have to credit everything that appears in the pics either with the links or without?

    Experience level: Intermediate?

    Lot Name: Falling Leaves

Lot address, size, and final cost:
Address: I'll edit tomorrow with that? I had to migrate my lot from Champs les Sims... I hope that doesn't DQ me
    Size: 30x40
    Cost: $62,577

Details and Rational: I found a lot I liked in Champs les Sims, like I said above, I hope that's OK... If not, I should've asked and I still had fun! I went with an autumn theme and it got me thinking about how much I was going to miss being at the cottage over the long, cold, stupid winter and then I was thinking about the cottages I visited as a kid... The ones that were still decorated the way they were when they were built. SO, this woodsy little cottage arrived, cozy and warm and full of colour and charm but maybe slightly rural and dated (with a bit of an updated twist)

This is the first time I've actually finished a lot I've started for B'n'S and it was a lot of fun... Except for landscaping, I don't landscape though I did use the colours of the trees I put on the lot for some palette inspiration.

    Experience level: Intermediate-Advanced

Lot Name: Original was 'Myrtle Bungalow - 1br, 1ba'. My entry is 'Grandma's Cottage in the Country'

Lot address, size, and final cost: 3 Sun Song Ave (SV), 30x20, S72, 265

Details and Rational: Details and Rational: I really like small lots so that's what first attracted me to this house. The original kind of looked a little Victorian (US) with its wooden siding and bay windows but the colours were too brash for my liking. I decided that I wanted to create an aged and quaint country look like you might expect to see in a house that had been around since the Victorian times. When building this I had in mind that it would be for an elderly couple who like to spend their days pottering around in the garden and reading together.

I forgot to do the price screen shot so had to go back into the game and replace the lot to get it. Unfortunately that meant a lot of my things had reset like the hay bales in the back of the truck (because I used CFE) so I just used this image to tag the rooms.

I don't think I could upload the house at the mo anyway, I seem to be having a weird issue with all my plants falling through the table whenever I edit town or save  don't wanna upload in case it's dodgy CC....has anyone else noticed this? I haven't installed the latest patch yet.

Credit to any simmers for custom content you used: House not uploaded...will try to credit images if I manage to get some extra time before the deadline.

Hoping people are in the mood for another redesign. This is a biggie and even goes back to a much earlier Build-n-Share as a little nostalgia for our most veteran members. Hope you will all enjoy it!

Details and Rational: I've always loved this house! I renovated it one time before and my sim family lived in it for a while. For this renovation, I picked a bold color scheme and went with a more modern design feel. In addition, I greatly added to the landscaping, providing a covered carport, hot tub (yay Late Night!) and swimming pool.

    Constructive Criticism?: sure

    Experience level: Intermediate

Lot Name: Contemporary Craftsman Cottage (redesigned from Column Cottage in Twinbrook)

Lot address, size, and final cost: 168 Savannah Lane Twinbrook, 30x30, $63880

Details and Rational: I decided to try a style I've never done before, which is Craftsman. While I was somewhat limited by the furniture in the game I think I got it mostly right! The biggest challenge was fitting 2 bedrooms and 2 baths in what was originally a 1 bedroom 1 bath house. The fireplace was a must for an authentic craftsman, and all the woodwork. The porches really drew my eye to this initially, and picking those particular columns inspired the Craftsman decision.

Credit to any simmers for custom content you used: none, except maybe a few patterns, and I never know who made those since they downloaded with houses. Thanks to the unknown talent!

Sorry I'm just doing this. I just got in from work at 6am and wanted to get straight to this before bed. Lol, so I rec'd everything I could and great job everyone!

JoubertCG-Very nice cabin feel to the home now, instead of just outdate. Loved the changes you made, although I would have liked to see a bit more in the front yard, maybe a nice willow tree or something, either way though…I loved the changes to the inside and back.

LewisJ12 - Nice remodel. I like the color scheme and the changes to the layout. The outside of the home looked much better too.

Chellekaz -I really liked what you did with the house. The colors were nice and blended well together.

Missroxor-Very cute. The yard wasn’t over done, but looked nice with the changes you made. Perfect for that picnic. J Also looks like you had a lot more room with the changes and I like the layout.

steph_444444- Nice changes. Loved the new layout. The greenhouse was a nice addition. Out of curiosity, how did you do the roof on the greenhouse? I can never get mine to work. J

KittKat7147 -What’s not to love about this redesign? Everything from the colors to the layout. Loved it all, especially the new feel to the outside of the build.

Nafarhi-This house was very bright, but it was hard to get a good feel from some of the picture angles. The sunroom looked very nice and inviting though. I think that was my favorite part. J

bouquet catcher -What a change! Loved it, it was so warm and inviting. Each room felt so quaint and welcoming. Perfect for that small family. J

I finally got time to look at everyone's creations - Wow! So much talent here!

Jeca011 - I've remodeled this house in the past! Love the new modern feel you've given it.

JoubertCG - So warm an inviting!

Nafhari - I especially like the exterior. I wouldn't normally pick green but it works so well!!

steph_44444 - So goregous! I'm totally downloading this lot.

LewisJ12 - Very calm and peaceful. I definitely feel like I'm at the sea!

Chellekaz - Lovely landscaping! Whoa, lots of color hehe :) I think a retired couple would fit right in!

mgolden27 - Everything works so well. Great color choices, very hip.

mj1976 - The outside looks entirely different, great job! I loved your story to go along with the project. I also like the modern color scheme.

missroxor - Wow, outstanding exterior. I just love some of the colors and patterns you chose - I'm downloading just for that lol! My fave is the living room with cozy fireplace.

EuphorialQueen - This lot is just plain fun!

Kittkat7147 - Lovely as usual! A little bit modern, a little bit classic. I hope you can get it uploaded, I'd like to download it. I want to clone some of your pattern choices :D.
