my apologies if you have posted this already, but what world do you intend to play this lot in?, or at least, where do you currently have it?
I don't have a particular world in mind though I currently have them in RFLong's Glenvale City due to it being a fairly empty world that I can place my builds in (I build a LOT)

Another queation, sorry I should have asked this yesterday as I was thinking about it then. I know the house exterior is not to be changed, but the planted area where the plants are, can i change that around a bit?

Im pretty much done on the house now, just need to take photos and organise them into something that makes sense. im hoping to get this uploaded today.

yes the planted area may be changed as long as there is a fence to keep the horses out and a single sized gate so as not to let them in

Entry name: The Human Jenn-gnome Project Presents: Down on the Farm
Link to entry: Right over here.
    Description:

So Admittedly, this is the first decorating contest I've ever entered..... heck, it's the first time I've decorated anything for public view, much less judgement, so bare with me.

Welcome to the Human Jenngnome Project

    File report: 001F
    Subject: Farm House

    Dictation:
Decided to take a break from my spicing and DNA research to do something... well.. alittle out of the ordinary. Instead of mapping Sim DNA, I have decided to take the Shell of a farmhouse, and integrate it with the DNA of several Decoratory items.

I have decided on the reality available in 7aquaman7's studio, the Down on the Farm house. Why? Well... I'm running out of specimens for my Sim DNA project. Need something that can lure some more unsuspecting Sims into the neighborhood. What's better than a household the promises to grow as the family does? Yes.. yes... mate you silly little sims. Give me more to play with.... -cough- To the project I suppose.....

I have turned this quaint household into the perfect and alluring trap. Nursery, Children's rooms and play grounds, Teen rooms before those little-unappreciative-brats get sent to college... and plenty for the older members of the house to immerse themselves in. Let them get distracted... I work far better when my specimens are off their guard.

But ohh, I've added honey to sweeten this little trap--er--deal. I have turned the meager basement into a Venue within itself! Not everyone is into the ranch life.. fine, But what about Bowling? Gambling? Dancing? Working out? Playing with Science and magic? Yes.. yes... the basement has become quite accommodating for those whom may be turned away by the ranch's outside appearance.

Now to post this on Craig's simlist and wait for the potential subjects-- er-- buyers.
    -End Dictation-

    *Be gentle*
Most routing issues I could think of have been tested. House is fully useable and not just placed for prettiness. Fireplace is Upgraded-- but everything else is untouched so that Sims can get the skill ups / Achievements they want

*Landscaping: Did not touch the barn. Was under the impression that this was not to be touched, so yes, did not touch. Horse Track: did not touch. Why? Because horses are sensitive sims, particularly with routing. Did not want to have something Work in build mode, but not work in useablility. Any routing issues, contact the contractor: 7Aquaman7.

Also: Playground works. Including sand via Terrain paints. Yes, your children can build sand castles in the playground ^.^

*Proxies: Windows changed due to lack of Luxury Spa windows. Also Pillars Changed due to lack of storybook Pillars.

*Topfloor hallway: You may notice the hallway leading to the bedrooms, the walls are pretty bare. This is not negligence on my part, I did this on purpose. Why? That is where I tend (in my placestyle) to hang Diplomas, Certificates, etc etc. Call it 'the walls of accomplishment'

    *More little notes:
Due to washer and dryer (with yes, detergent for the Happy Clean Moodlet), every room -does- have a hamper.

    Nursery:
While there is a Highchair down stairs, I there is a minifridge between the 2 highchairs in the nursery to save the trouble of constantly going up and down stairs, as well as to avoid eating on the floor.

    Basement:
For reasons like the nursery, there is a trash compactor downstairs near the Vending machines to keep from having to go all the way up stairs to throw things away.

    Bathrooms:

Adult bathroom on top floor has All required elements for "Tranquil" moodlet. (candle, duck, bubble bath) Kid bathroom has Bubblebath and Duck

(WHY WAS POST EDITTED?!? : Reason is, Forgot to actually put the link in for the Yard portion Edit 2: Spelling Errors)

    3rd edit:
Read Lita's post and decided that I should doa custard check on mine as well. Never downloaded any CC knowling (except hair, which wouldn't effect this) but low and behold, come kinda counter thing got mixed in.

    SO. NOW custard approved~! ^.^b

Great landscaping and furnishing work of the build ! @ litabelaqua. :) It looks great! The grill area in the kitchen with the bar stool seats around it looks good, and great way you have set up the large kitchen with a variety of appliances. The woodstove oven nestled in between the counters is great to cook with. Very nice sunny and light coming in conservatory sitting area off from it , which looks nice with the greenery there . Great comfortable seating in the living room. It looks great how you have used the curtains as an archway entrance from one area/room to another area/room. Great large movie screen for Sims to enjoy watching movies/tv on in comfortable seating. Nice shades of colours and pattern you have used throughout the house. The way you have set up the nursery looks great for little ones, and great that you have done both a blue and a pink swing. The furnishing of the bedrooms look good. Nice shades of pink and blue you have used for the kids bedrooms. The sauna is a great relaxing addition to the home. Great outdoor areas! The gates you have used look good. Sims would enjoy cooking , drinking and eating outdoors at the outdoor kitchen and bar and dining area, as well as relaxing in the nearby hot tub or on the patio seats. Very nice flower work, and the rock/pond/fountain/plant feature looks good. Great changes you have made to the fruit/vegie patch! It looks great with the stone paving, the fencing and the scarecrow! It is a very nicely done refurnished and landscaped home!

Great furnishing and landscaping of this build ! @ Jenngnome. :)On the first floor, the entry room looks lovely with the flower work along the edge of the room, and great how you have done the unicorns amidst the flowers in the middle of the room! Very nice way you have set up the living room to watch tv, great placement and nice choice of seating. The wall décor items and the décor on the coffee table look good. Cute little play area nook for the kids in the living room! Great setting up of the kitchen area! Great furnishing of it, and the brown colours look good. Great to have the wood stove fire there, and the vine wrapped column looks good. The kitchen would be a great place to do cooking and eat at the bar counter. Very nice sunny eating area off from the kitchen, it looks great how you have done the dining table/seating and the plants/flowers there, as well as seating to just relax in front of the windows with the light coming in. Nice sitting area room where Sims can sit in the rocking chair while being warmed up by the fireplace and listen to other Sims playing the piano or play it themselves. The study and painting room with the desk, easel and train set looks good. Nice sitting nook corner at the top of the stairs. Great furnishing of the upper balcony areas! The children's bedroom looks great, and fun kids bathroom! Very cute bathroom for the kids, between the kids room and the great nursery. Great furnishing of the teens room, the colours/patterns and the posters and drums look good, as does all the other items that suit the room. Nicely furnished master bedroom, and the bathroom that accompanies this looks great. The basement area is a fun place for Sims to spend time, building up skills, using the gym equipment, and making up potions using the alchemy or chemistry set The wall background that you used for the alchemy/magic area looks great!, Great science skills/equipment area, and fun to play Ping-Pong and bowling there too! Great that you have the vending machines for a drink or snack, and Sims can enjoy listening to music too! Sims will spend a lot of time down here in the basement with so much to do! Great outdoor areas. Kids would enjoy playing on the playground equipment. The covered over greenery trellis that you put over the fruit/vegie patch looks great. Nice flowerwork around the edges of the house. Great outdoor seating area near the playground and near the vegie patch.
It is great all that you have done to the build!

I finally got this done & will be posting my entry here. It will take me awhile to get it all done & posted right. I am not good with computer stuff so it always takes me awhile to upload lots & get all the photos posted.

    Entrant: Scrapper42

    Entry name: Horse Farm

Link to entry: I worked with Aquaman & Tanu to get my lot to work but for some reason I could not get the lot to work. It would disappear once it was placed in game for most people. I don't use any CC so it must have just been one of those pesky computer gremlins, lol.

Description: I would like to call attention to the fact that I took a lot of sim photography while in game to personalize the house. It took many days to get all the photography done in real life. I hope the judges can download this lot because I think to see everything I included you really need to walk through the entire lot. I also have a skill building area on the second floor as well as in the garage. I put a lot of flowers & such around the outside to add color. The porch has rocking chairs on both sides of the house as well as sitting areas in the front & back porch areas. There is an area for outdoor grilling & eating. The garden area I added in the garden stations & upgraded sprinklers in the orchard area. There is an outdoor play area with kids stuff as well as adult fun things such as golf & bull riding. I also included a kids & nursery combination room & teen bedroom. The teen bedroom has drums, guitar & keyboard along with a study area & posters on the wall that one would fin in most teen dream bedrooms. The living room is large & includes many areas for relaxing, tv watching & I added a fireplace. LOOK in chest in entry way for more gifts for your sim when they move in! These are just some of the highlights & I hope you enjoy it.

Here are some photos but there are many more in the above link to the slideshow. I did them as scrapbook layouts so I could put more photos on each page. There are only 6 here as per the rules but many more in the slideshow as well as individual photos.

It looks great how you have furnished and landscaped this build @SALTPASTILLEN :) Very nice flower and plant work outdoors, and the pond and stonework paving pathway looks good. Great outdoor seating area and great to sit around the firepit at night warming up and toasting marshmallows like your Sims are doing.. The bonfire and playground areas look good, with kids enjoying playing outdoors and older Sims gathering around the fire. Great sporting/games items you have provided for fun outdoors. Lovely shade of green that you have used in the sunny area where Sims can do painting. The cloud pattern on the nursery wall is very calming for the little Sims. It looks nice how you have done the rugs underneath the sofas in the reception room. Very nice shades of colour you have used in this room, and great placement of the seats. Great to have a playpen nearby! It loks good how you have used the screen to divide the music area away from the domino playing area. The green you have used for the dining room area goes good with the wooden theme of the area and of the kitchen. Very nice furnishing of the kitchen! Great how you have used the half walls there to separate it off. Nice turquoise/aqua shade of colour you used for the master bedroom and the sitting area there looks good. The castle themed kids room looks great. The rose themed bedroom looks very nice how you have furnished it and the colours used. The way you have landscaped and furnished the build is great!

Great landscaping and furnishing work @ scrapper42 :) The flowers and plants around the edge of the house look very nice . The way you have added the garden stations to the fruit/vegie garden looks good. The playground area is great for the kids, and it is good that you have sporting/games items there for the older Sims to enjoy using too. Great outdoor grill and dining area to enjoy cooking and eating meals outdoors. The windmill looks great. Very nice furnishing of the interior. The choice of seating and décor in the living room looks and is great and fits well with the theme of the build. The sim-taken photos on the wall here and throughout the build look so very good and really goes well with the house and really enhances all the furnishing you done of this build. It must have taken you such a long time getting your Sims to take all these photos and they all fit in so well ! Very nice kitchen! Great eating area with nice recolouring of the table/chairs and the mat underneath. Great wall pattern you have used in the games room. Very nice sunny /light-coming-in nook sunroom area which you have as a sitting and painting area. A great place to grow produce in the planters. It looks very nice and Sims would like taking a book from the bookcase and having a read on a seat there near the window or on a comfortable seat near the lamp near the bookshelf itself. Great to have the playpen nearby, that little ones can be in there and older Sims can keep their eyes on them. Cute bunny pattern on the walls, bed and blinds in the nursery and kids room. Great skill boosting room with the science machine, and the alchemy station. Great furnishing of the teens room with items that fit the style of a teen. It looks great how you have put the flowers around the welcoming sign to the home.
    The build looks great!

Hey :D I was wondering if I could "sponsor" I guess. A 50 simpoint item to anyone who entered but didn't win? :/ Not sure if that makes sense, but, obviously everyone that made these put a lot of hard work into them. So, could I?

Absolutely! I think that is a great idea that I have considered anyways so you can add it to what I am considering. We shall see tomorrow what I decide the REAL prizes end up being but I thank you for your offer and accept gratefully!
