Is there a way to remap controls on Xbox? Desperately need to get rid of the new bumper/trigger update as it’s messed up my muscle memory after 5 years of playing with these controls.

@netney52 pressing down on the left stick should bring up a control diagram that shows you most of the controls you need for building!

@GirlFromIpanema still no changes unfortunately (or updates from the team as far as I’m aware). The reason the team gave when the controls changed was to align live mode controls with existing CAS controls for switching between sims (even though these CAS controls never existed and were only put in with the update).

Have a look at some of the Challenges you can play - they can help you to find new ways to play with certain packs and use gameplay elements differently. Personally, I like to do a separate play-through for each new EP / GP so I can spend time investigating all the new features without trying to play with too much at once.

Another thing I’ve found in debug mode is free invisible ceiling lights that come in loads of different shapes and sizes - they are great to use in bigger builds so you don’t end up spending lots of money on lighting or waste time having to size every single light down to fit well.

Sounds weird.... can you drag it into your inventory or select it and select Put in Inventory or anything?? Maybe you could try opening build mode in the nearest lot and seeing if that fixes it too

Are you able to get your sim to play it? If they can, they may place it back in the right position so it can be deleted (or sometimes my sims like to steal random objects into their inventories 😆).

If you enable free placement and bb.moveobjects on cheat, then you can place (and size down if you want) the basic round plant pot inside or on a deck. Then, size down and place larger outdoor trees and/or plants in the plant pot to have a wider range of plants and decorations in your builds!

I think it does look pretty good, especially for a stuff pack, but I’m not hugely into occult packs (although Vampires was done really well). My main concern is that some of the more in depth stuff & details might get missed because it’s only a stuff pack. If the livestream and first YouTube reviews of the pack are good…

This pack actually seems like it might be pretty good for updating base game too - on the interactive map it says that rental lots will be able to be placed in all residential worlds now, plus the split-level platforms and potentially Lifestyles and Sentiments! BTW I’m not sure if any of these are 100% confirmed for base…

On the Snowy Escape quiz on the EA website, one of the questions is “How long are you staying here for?” and the options include “Just long enough”, “I live here now” and “Forever and ever”. Does this mean that we’ll be able to both live and go on holiday in the new world??

I think that some of the gameplay could be interesting and it’s something we haven’t really had before in the series, but I haven’t seen anyone ask for it and many of the more requested packs (farming, generations, supernatural) haven’t been mentioned. However, I’m still happy for all the people who will enjoy this pack!
