Clothes for lower to middle class working men are so lacking. I don't know any men that dress like the sims offerings on a daily basis. As a working class man I feel totally unrepresented in this game. I would buy a mans stuff pack, as long as it has just one item I would actually want to wear in real life.
So agreed! The pants for men and women are so lacking, they are all either way too tight or weirdly baggy, no normal fitting standard pants and jeans
Just The Sims is copying the Barbie's themes.
Of course guys are free to play with this doll but they won't be the majority of the players.
Well, Iβm a woman and I certainly wouldnβt mind having a GI Joe doll ( I had several as a child ) in the sims, they made a much better partner for Barbie and her cousins than Ken did. They rather nerfed the military career in the sims though all they can do is march and do a little sparing. What happened to that thing you crawl under and why canβt they have a military career where they can go to a gun range and practice shooting? I mean this game is rated teen, and we have men in the real military who are still teens in the United States.
Totally agree. I play mainly men and I wouldn't mind some new barber hairstyles for men and traditional outfits for men. I miss especially shoes like leather brogues or maybe some mocassins. We have recived the Modern Menswear Kit... But I'll leave that one without any comment..
The Women would have body hair if they were Werewolves.
I never saw a TV show with female werewolf... now I understand why werewolves are missing in TS4.
Twilight, Teen Wolf, ... they are always very masculine.
We have feminine occults like vampire, mermaid and witch. If Fairy is the next occult, it would not be a surprise .

Women do have body hair, it's just usually lighter and finer then that of men, but not all men are hairy either, nor can all men grow facial hair. Some women do grow facial hair. I know those are outliers, but my point is that stereotypes are comfortable, familiar, exclusionary, and limiting.
I do love facial and body hair myself, and find it strange that it was basegame in sims3 but does not exist in sims4.
Agree about there being soooo many pairs of pants, almost none of which are just ordinary, tasteful pants. Yes, they are either ridiculously skin tight, or ridiculously baggy, and a few original basegame ones look like they are straight out the late 1970s, like what Shaggy wore in the original Scooby-Doo.
I don't like lawing through 30 pairs of pants to find anything not strange, bizarre, or "far out" and I prefer not to have to notice what my sims are wearing: it should make them seem believable, not dress them up in freaky costumes all the time.
That's one of the perks of sims3, they didn't try to be so wild and wacky that most of the clothes look like the closet of a 15 year old who wore all the cheapest fads for the moment they were in style but then never got rid of them afterward. Sims 4 clothes don't age well at all. Maybe that was on purpose?
I just rather play Sims 3, the upsides far outweigh the downsides compared to Sims 4 since Sims 3 actually allows men to be masculine.
There's body hair, dive bars, better selection of jobs, animations aren't so feminine for men and traits actually do something, allowing you to build more masculine personalities through that and much more.
All Sims 4 sims are just that same punchable annoying hipster personality.
It's high time that a serious competitor rises up and offers what the sims does not. Sadly Paralives won't be it since they aim for a 12+ rating too.
But a real competitor with a 16+ rating could be great. Allowing alcohol, smoking, maybe even murder. Better job structures too and generally just being geared towards offering something appealing to everyone while being able to get a bit darker and really allow your characters to hit rock bottom.
Yes! I would love that. Though I think my Garage Pack idea wins for the manly pack, a Wild West Pack can be super inclusive. Here are Waylon, Johnny, and Willie to tell you how:
Oh that will never change. Heck in the clothing pack for men they just put clothes more suitable for women than men, with the skirts and all.
Yes, men CAN wear skirts but again, how many do you see wearing that? Why even put that in when there's still a shortage of descent pants and other clothes?
I swear, the only men working on this game must be high fashion models or something, who never wear anything practical and nobody on the team knows any actual men. Congratulations, after having seen many companies with men making games while totally clueless about women, we now have a game made by women totally clueless about men.
Not sure if that's any accomplishment worth going for though, all that's missing is blatant sexism towards men if they truly want to make it even.
But instead all Sims just act and move feminine regardless of gender or traits so that's not really a good thing either.
What are you talking about y'all got a male centered cas kit? Like... I know good and well we have male gurus that can speak up about male style in game.

Because the women never have body hair, they are perfect

The Sims 4 General DiscussionI remember one female werewolf in Twilight.
And now a Mod for Werewolves has come out, who knows what will happen?
We got a WEDDING pack before our Wolf pack?! Seriously, getting married has an effect on your game, yes. How much effect does a WEDDING have?
