I'm enjoying all the sounds coming from this place!
So this time I thought I'd pick a random track that I've never heard before. This is what I often do whenever there's a jukebox around.
"Hey that song doesn't look familiar. Let's play it-"
*inserts coin*
"-and see who stays and who runs."
Now we don't want anyone to run from here!
Although I find my random track to be a pretty good ear snack for car cruisin' (or bar boozin') or werebeast manifestin'.

Ooh, nice track choice.

(fyi, she is the singer who sang the Gladiator soundtracks in case anyone wonders)
Dead Can Dance - Sanvean Live

I love Dead Can Dance. You know Lisa Gerrard sometimes sings in glossolalia, which is the technical term for 'talking in tongues'. What she is singing in certain pieces isn't actually translatable in any language, it's just inspired art in the form of song. They were first established in my now home city of Melbourne as well.

Absolutely stunning song and curiously educational aside - you guys are the best.

Oh, and @CAPTAIN_NXR7 I listened to your contribution and didn't even think of running away. Nice find!
Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off.

Lisa Gerrard has been a favorite singer of mine since I was a teenager. Her voice is incredible and I love how she just makes up her own language and words to express herself. I always wanted to travel to Australia and see one of her concerts but never got the chance.
@Kironide Thank you for the compliment

I'd stay and tend bar but I'm busy building a new house for some newly spawned Vampires. I'll mix up a round for everyone before I take my leave though (I'll have to double check forum rules before I actually write out any recipes).
(*no, really, historical drink recipes and cooking are a hobby of mine).

And now, here's a song for that spellcaster ... Maybe staying late at the academy, trying to create their healing potions, trying to reach that next rank, maybe they drew too much magic power or botched the potion recipe and then fell down beside the cauldron, feeling exhausted and defeated. This beautiful, emotional ballad reminds you, "you can pick it all up and start again ... You could still be what you want to." Don't despair. Don't give up.

Well I'm a little short on rum to be able to do a proper Zombie, but I could probably rustle up a Mai Tai. And for our more hirsute guests I can make a nice little Gin, Creme de Violette and Lemon number called, appropriately enough, a 'Blue Moon'.

Parthian Chicken (circa 100 ad) is really nice and one of the easier recipes to make.

Tu'hu is the oldest recipe I've done (it's a reconstruction of a 4000 year old recipe written down on the famous 'Yale Tablets'). It's very tasty, depending on how much you like beetroot.

Sounds intriguing... I would like to know more about these non-sim traditions.
Of course you also can't go past the classic Vieux Carre, dating to the 1930s and translating to 'French Quarter' it is a nice little strong, alcohol forward number. Let's me check my cocktail supplies...ah yes, I have the ingredients at hand, what luck. Let me just grab some rye whiskey, cognac, a nice sweet vermouth (quality is important here), some Benedictine liqueur, and now I do have angostura bitters but not peychaud's - not to worry, orange bitters will do in a pinch.
And for those who are in the mood for something a bit more neon-esque and dessert feeling in style, we have a Grasshopper. Created circa 1918 at the Tujague's bar in New Orleans, the original recipe calls for Creme De Menthe (green preferably, but if blanc is all that's available there's always food colouring), creme de cacao blanc, and cream.
