I want my stuff to stop breaking. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! I have one family member who's sole job is to walk around fixing/replacing things. It's really awful. Who thought having everything broken all the time was "fun?"
I'd really like to see an update for the Seasons DLC which would allow simmers to set which world hemisphere (north or south) they play in and thus which season certain holidays occur. For example, the Winterfest holiday in the game is in winter because The Sims is predominantly based on the Northern Hemisphere, but for me living in the Southern Hemisphere, real life Winterfest (Christmas) is in Summer and I'd like this to be reflected in my sims games. I know you can do this manually but it is very tedious to move (read: re-create) all the holidays in the 'opposite' season
More than anything, I'd like fairies as a new occult life state. I explained some of it in the idea discussions. Been pretty desperate. Also a few free update ideas I also commented on there. I don't want to retype it all here. lol
Though a critique I have for the trailers, I'd rather they be more akin to the actual gameplay the advertised pack has, not flashed with special effects that make us think there is certain content in the packs that don't actually exist. In the long run, it causes more harm than good, and could lose you revenue due to the disappointment of fans. They'd become cynical over time.
Same goes for packs like Journey to Batuu. I suppose it was a somewhat interesting idea, though I wasn't overly thrilled with the idea of adding Star Wars to the Sims at all. I've yet to play it myself, but I have seen enough gameplay footage and commentary. It's extremely hollow and one dimensional, not having much freedom to interact with the world around you. The missions also seem rather lackluster, mainly just going from one person to the next that you have to hover your mouse over to tell who is who (I like the idea of a challenge like that, personally, but add all the other stuff wrong with that pack, and it's not exactly thrilling), and just switching from thing to thing whenever it gets bored of itself. There's no life to it. Nothing like actual Star Wars games such as SWTOR. I'd picture a Star Wars pack with far more immersion and interactions, like Star Wars: The Old Republic. Being able to obtain pod racers or other vehicles (or even participating in a pod race!), becoming a proper Sith or Jedi with said powers, being able to keep occult or other abilities we could have in other worlds, integrate the aliens in other worlds better when offering them to return home with you, and maybe being a bit more sandbox with optional missions, like Strangerville. In fact Strangerville would be nearly a perfect base to try another attempt at a Star Wars pack on if we must continue that trend. As is, I'm highly reluctant to buy it for as much content as you receive, or lack there of. At the VERY LEAST, I'd like that pack to be HEAVILY modified and given many more freedoms and opportunities before I'm willing to buy it. And for the love of all that is good on this green earth, add more obvious toilets! xDDD I cannot stress that enough.
I highly recommend never making a pack like that again. It will cost far more fans and revenue than earning anything. I'd be far more willing to buy it if you added all the options I stated above and more.
Oh, and if we must continue the Star Wars trend, I'd like to have the Jedi and Sith homeworlds, such as Tython and Korriban. Or at least their capital planets like Dromund Kaas and Coruscant (which would probably be better, thinking on it). Though I also wouldn't mind something like Tatooine, Alderaan, and even space fleets. But please, more than anything, more freedom, sandbox, and ACTUAL Force powers. If there must be missions, make it interesting, three or four dimensional, dynamic, and varied, and give us several different directions you can take. Maybe even make Force Sensitives their own unique occult life state. (Though of course, one could just ignore everything I said and just play SWTOR and call it a day, which would be more practical and sensible. lol)
On the whole, I would not advise meddling in Star Wars for the Sims 4 that much, but I can also see something like that becoming very enjoyable if executed correctly, and thoroughly expanded and thought upon. I mean, basically, just make a legit pack, not something that's just meant for novelty and advertisement.
Do the Sims 4 team read all of these messages? I hope so, I have a gripe about their eco lifestyle expansion pack. I don't like that way you have portrayed industrialisation. I think you should allow for mass-production on the fabricator at lower cost. Please also try to change the negative connotations of "industrial" in the game.
Modern plants happen to be very sustainable (to meet national and international standards). On the other hand, manufacturing an item one by one on the fabricator is inefficient and a massive drain on resources, i.e. not so good for the environment!! I know it's just a game, but this seems pretty obvious when you think about it. Also, the impression you paint of "industrial" is old-fashioned and it's disappointing that you are perpetuating such negative (and wrong) ideas about these areas being highly polluted. :( Modern industrial areas are cutting edge in terms of being and becoming green!
I write this as someone who has studied mechanical engineering and manufacturing at bachelors, masters and PhD level.
I would like Werewolves as good as or better then my favorite pack VAMPIRE. And any and all Paranormals after that. But only if you do a good job with them. don't take shortcuts. And I really, really want LONG hair. There are a million short hairs, some medium but no really long hairs. And not just in the back. I want to see it facing my sim to. The CC for long hair I see in other simmers lets play is beautiful. And PLEASE fix the green smoke issue with gardening. And the plants going back to a lump of dirt. I had a money tree disappear from the game and I have two money tree's that were fully grown before I went to work with my sim and back to a pile of dirt when she got back. Without them she will have to move soon.
I love the game and everything is so fun to do, but it really lacks the open world, like in the previous Sims game. It would be nice to travel to your neighbours house or a park without having to stare at a loading screen. Also maybe adding more pets would be a good idea, like horses and stuff?
I think there needs to be more attention in retroactively adding features to premade townies. For example:
- Adding majors to sims for which it makes sense. - Implementing lifestyles to NPCs - The Landgraabs should be celebrities by all means, and more premades too - More Get Together clubs for other expansions - Hand crafted hot and cold weather outfits
Since only the Sims Team is able to consistently change these things for new save files, the responsability fall to them. Many people just use variations of the same savefile since the state of any newly created game is atrocious.
I would like more cross expansion/ stuff/ game pack game play
an example would be
To use the archaeology from Jungle Adventures in let's say the Japan inspired world in Snowy Escape or Island Living. I would love to be able to put some digs around the hiking trails and get artifacts from that world.
I would also like an update to the club system from Get together. It is an awesome system but needs to be updated for all expansions and game packs (unless I missed something)
The ability to create your own beach lot on other worlds, which include swimming
I personally wish we had more kitchen cabinet options with neutral colors. It’d be so great to see a white marble countertop with just a white cabinet underneath. And all other neutral configurations!
Also wish we had sectionals!!! Or just better more comfortable couches in general. In NEUTRAL colors! Lol everything is so bright and out there. It’s so hard to make a pretty scheme. Nothing ever matches.
Also, why can’t all the metal finishes match? There 12 different kinds of gold and they are not consistent with one another.
More modern art. Maybe a cool gallery wall of black and white or cool modern pictures.
Better beds!!! Same issue here. None of them look comfortable or trendy or realistic. Super bright colors and hard to match.
As a Swedish player, with a swedish account, but wanting to play my game in English: I'm bothered by the 12h time. If it could be possible to add a switch in the settings to switch to 24h time... Like the Sims 3. I don't want to play the game in swedish to enjoy looking at the in game time!

PLEASE, for the love of all that's holy, FIX the gallery! I don't own every pack, I would at this point love nothing better than to be able to filter the builds by which packs they contain. I'm so tired of scrolling for hours for something that doesn't contain one of the many packs I don't have. Why even offer this as an option if it doesn't work?
I suspect it's another micro-aggressive way to try to force players to buy all the packs, but some of us will never cave, for whatever reason. Just don't dangle the promise of a feature that doesn't work.
My sims are red and white with question marks since I just updated today 1/21. Also half of my house and surrounding areas are colorful question marks as well.
I think I might've posted this here already, but please, give use the option to manually place and remove fence posts as well as change apartment boundaries and public areas.
Werewolves as good as or better than Vampires. And very long hair front and back view. There are a ton of short hair and some middle hair but no really long hair.
No death from being scared is an odd omission, and I think ought to be, uh. Added in the future. I'm not someone who tries to murder Sims in various ways, but if emotional deaths are a thing - and I'm okay with them being a thing! - then Scared to Death really needs to be one of them.
PS: the sims stat page needs 'Times Scared' added to the emotion counter thing

In RoM it gets rather frustrating when I'm looking for a particular spell book or potion ingredient, but it's not available at the stores, it would be helpful if there were another (non-cheating) way to get them easily, like being able to order them to the store or ur home.
In the DU expansion pk, I found it disappointing to be kicked out of the Secret Society when I graduated, because the group wasn't really sanctioned with either school. I would be delighted if there was a way to stay in or become a supervisor in the group upon graduation from the either university.
