Love this story!!! Your creativity is amazing!!! I can't stop reading...thanks for sharing. I love that you intervene when you think they are doing something stupid. I do that with my Sims, at first I say "I'll let them do what they want" but then as soon as they start doing something I don't like, I jump in and cancel.
@franka44021 Thanks so much for your comments. I do appreciate it very much and I'm happy you are enjoying the story! I'm too much of a control freak to let them go and do something silly that just doesn't go with the character or story line. Glad to meet someone else that will cancel out silly things.
The honeymoon suite has a private terrace and Alexandra and Jared enjoy a quiet brunch when they finally get out of bed. They plan to meet Derek, Kendall, Brian and Melee early afternoon at the nectary.
Dimitri and Kiara enjoy the view as they enjoy a late morning tea in their room.
Derek and Kendall grabbed breakfast at the cafe on their way to meet up with the others at the nectary.
The boys Anton and Zane ate pastries at the coffee cart. They had to chase the barista down as he was downstairs chatting with one of the gondolier's. Brian and Melee arrive next and Brian has a large late and Melee an herbal tea.
Matthew and Emily are playing chess at the hostel and trying to avoid the paparazzi.
Alexandra and Jared host Derek, Kendall, Brian and Melee to an afternoon of nectar tasting. It was the perfect time for Jared and Derek to reconnect as brothers, and for Derek and Kendall to get to know Alexandra, as well as Brian and Melee who are part of the family.
Dimitri and Kiara finally leave their room at the hotel and explore the town. They are completely charmed by the little cafe and try the specialty of the house, frog legs and enjoy them. Dimitri talks about visiting one of the local ponds and doing some fishing and Kiara quickly vetoes that and they visit the museum instead. Jared had told them to be sure to visit the nectary so that was next on the tour for them. Dimitri examines the sample bottles available and picked out one that had an interesting combination of grapes for them to try. Dimitri apparently took the chair Kiara wanted to sit in and she was a bit cranky with him. She quickly finishes her nectar and sat waiting for him to finish. "You could grow some grapes in the garden at home and make some of this lovely nectar to sell. Some of the prices for the nectars were quite high. It might give us more spending money."
Dimitri paused, and looked to see if she was serious. She was. He was intrigued by the idea. His garden made a tidy profit, but, the idea of nectar making and creating new flavors was surprisingly a novel idea that he accepted quite quickly. "I guess I can buy one of the books they have in the shop on nectar making and get a few grape plants so I can start increasing the quality of the grapes. I'm sure the better the grape the better the nectar."
Dimitri talked with the clerk and she recommended some books and a few plants to start with. She told him to go harvest what he wanted from the field outside. He would have to wait on the nectar machine as the price of that was not within his budget.
Jared and Alexandra got up early their last morning in Champs Les Sims. Jared had arranged for an early morning gondola trip around the canals. The beauty around them sparkling in the moonlight was a glorious site as they enjoy the trip. Alexandra rushes over to the fountain after they get off the gondola. She kneels down and runs her fingers through the water. How refreshing and cold it is. She dips her hand and takes a sip of the water suddenly desiring nothing more than to drink the waters. She feels completely energized and younger after swallowing the fountain water as if she has been given a new lease on life. She encourages Jared to take a sip and he kneels down and takes a drink of the water. Jared suddenly feels energized and a bit younger as well.
He takes her in his arms and kisses her. "It will be time to leave soon. Are you sorry to go?"
She shakes her head no. "It has been a marvelous time. I've enjoyed every minute. The wedding was everything I dreamed of. You and our family and friends made it perfect. I love you Jared and I'm ready to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much. Lets go home and make some babies!"
Jared grins happily. "That is something I don't mind practicing over and over. Do you think we might already be pregnant?"
Alexandra looks at him and laughingly questions, "Where did you get this we business? I think it would be too early to tell yet anyway."
Jared embraces her, "Soon, I hope. Lets go catch the limo to the airport."
They hurry to the rendezvous at the hostel where the others are waiting.
Jared and Alexandra arrive home and as tradition demands Jared carries Alexandra over the threshold. The others await the romantic moment patiently pretending to be absorbed in looking about them at the street, the yard, each other and trying to give them a few moments of privacy. The jet had stopped in Moonlight Falls first and the Sims family returned to their home. The others travel to Bridgeport and will spend a day or two with the newlyweds before returning to their homes. They spend some time chatting in the living room talking about the wedding, the trip and how enjoyable it was. Melee explains that she and Brian must leave tomorrow as she has a gig and Brian is expected back at the studio. Brian is either playing an astronaut or possibly a yeti in a film.
Melee decides to play the piano. She is very musical and has gone several days without her instruments and has a strong wish to play for others. Everyone enjoys listening to her play as they talk, read or cook. Brian mixes a few party drinks, but his skill is not high and they are not fit to drink. Alexandra grills some salmon steaks and Melee compliments her on how well she has learned to cook.
After dinner they decide to enjoy the hot tub. Alexandra suddenly gets out and runs into the house. She used the all in one bathroom with the door shut! I guess she wanted privacy. She goes back to the hot tub where everyone is still enjoying the bubbles and relaxation. Jared asks her if she is all right. She nods and tells him everything is fine. Perhaps the salmon disagreed with her, but, everyone else seems fine.
Melee decides to fix a dessert for everyone to enjoy. Her favorite is cherry pie. It looks like everyone has left the hot tub and Jared mixes some party drinks. His skill level is high enough that his are drinkable. Everyone enjoys the cherry pie and Brian tells Melee she should share the recipe with the others. Jared hands out drinks after they finish the pie. Jared offers Alexandra one, but, she tells him her stomach is still a bit off and maybe she better not put anything else in it.
It is late and everyone is tired from the long flight and the long day. They settle in bed and the house is quiet, except for a few giggles and shh's and young lovers being loving even if they are tired.

Alexandra is up early and fixes french toast for breakfast. The others are up as well and enjoy the breakfast, complimenting her on the meal. After breakfast Brian and Melee reluctantly must say goodbye. It is time for them to return to Starlight Shores and their life there. After the short trip on a commuter flight Brian and Melee arrive at their new home which still needs to have their personal touches added to it.
Kendall knows that Alexandra is an accomplished dancer and has always wanted to learn. Alexandra teaches her some basics to practice at the bar. She suddenly feels very nauseated and runs to the closest bathroom. She cleans her mouth and brushes her teeth, washes her face and looks in the mirror. Could I be pregnant she wonders?
Jared challenges Derek to a hoops contest. They rush outside and begin to shoot hoops like they were teenagers again. Jared has missed the friendly competitions that he and his brother had growing up. Jared usually won if it was athletic and Derek if it involved chess. Swoosh! Jared nails it while he watches Derek's ball bounce of the rim. "I'll nail it this time", shouts Derek as he shoots the ball and misses the board entirely. Jared snickers at his brother and then gets choked up with emotion.
He hugs Derek holding on tightly trying not to cry, but does anyway. "I've missed you Derek. I didn't expect to hear from the parents, but, you, I thought I would hear from you. Why the silence? Why did it take so long, and what happened to change your mind?"
Derek looks at the ground, shakes his head back and forth and looks up at Jared. "I knew eventually we would have to talk it out. I'm truly ashamed of my behavior and you didn't deserve the silence from me. At first, I really did not think you would go. I was hurt when you did and yet I knew deep down that you had to go. They were stifling you with their demands and you were not going to bow down like I did and conform to what they wanted. Not long after you left, I realized how silent and depressing and unhappy the house was without you in it. I missed you more than I thought possible, but was still hurt and angry that you left. I couldn't bear living there any longer. I had started arguing with the parents. They claimed you were influencing me even though you were not around and I had no idea where you had gone. I told them I was moving out, that I was an adult and it was time I started to behave like one. I moved out to an apartment, and then I found out you were in Bridgeport and moving up in the film career. At that point I was ashamed of my behavior and afraid to contact you." Derek pauses and looks at Jared who is looking back at him intently.
"What changed? Simple answer, Kendall. I met Kendall. She is my complete opposite and yet I knew the day I met her I loved her, and that she would change my life and she has. She told me I was being an *** and needed to contact you and get things right. The lawyer showed up in my office that afternoon with your wedding invitation. It was the perfect serendipity. I knew what I needed to do and started making arrangements. The firm did not want to grant me a leave, so, I gave my notice and left. I'm sure that was the parents influence since they are the majority stockholders for the firm. I did not try to hide the reason I wanted some time off. I'm truly sorry for hurting you and for staying away so long. I hope that someday we can be even closer than we were growing up. I know I'm still a proper snob at times, but Kendall will keep chipping away at that I'm sure." With hope in his eyes, Derek looks up at Jared.
"Derek, you are one lucky dude. I think you have found the perfect girl for you. If she can take you down, call you an *** and you still love her, she's a keeper. I forgave you as soon as I saw you at the wedding. I needed to know why though. I guess I really never thought about how you would feel with me leaving. I'm sorry I didn't think about your feelings. I just knew I needed to go. You forgive me for leaving you alone with the parents? Oh, you don't have a job to rush back to? I think you should stay here with us in Bridgeport for a bit and decide what you want to do. You could look about for a job here. Lots of business opportunities in the big city. What do you think?"
"I think you should talk to your wife before offering to let me stay here little brother! I need to talk to Kendall as well. We are engaged so Kendall needs to be in on the decision as well. She worked for the firm and she was fired and I'm sure that was orders from the parents as well. They certainly never approved of our dating since Kendall doesn't have a high class pedigree in their eyes. I think a change would be good for both of us. You talk to Alexandra and I'll talk with Kendall."
"Hey, she will be cool with it. She grew up in a tiny house with a large family and she misses having Brian and Melee around and talks about how quiet it is with just the two of us. I'll talk to her of course, but, think about it. We've got the whole third floor that can be fixed up for you and Kendall so you can have a private area."
Alexandra, resting after her earlier sickness awakens realizing she is pregnant. She hurries downstairs to talk with Jared and let him know.

(I had originally planned for Derek and Kendall to go to Roaring Heights as a travel connected world like Brian and Melee, but once I started seeing how Jared and Derek interacted it seemed as if they started writing the story. Jared wanted and needed his brother to stay. As much as he loves Alexandra, Derek is his brother and he needs him in his life. Amazing what sims do when you give them autonomy. I'm just glad he didn't go lusting after Elvira!! haha So, Derek and Kendall will be moving upstairs to the third floor until they get settled and then they will get their own place in Bridgeport.)
Alexandra hurries downstairs and finds Jared outside talking with Derek. Jared smiles and holds his hand out to her as she comes closer "Hi, I needed to talk with you"
Derek goes inside to find Kendall and give them some privacy.
Alexandra squeezes his hand and bounces while she talks. "I need to talk with you also. You are not going to believe it. We are pregnant." she tells him smiling happily.
Jared is very surprised, excited and happy with the news and kisses his lovely wife. He also tells the baby hello and he is looking forward to meeting the baby.
"We've got to call your parents and let them know. Then call Brian and Melee. Oh my goodness, we have to get a nursery prepared also. Are you feeling alright? Is that why you had to rush out of the hot tub last night? Maybe you should be lying down?"
"Jared! Take a deep breath, please. Are you going to be a nervous Dad to be?"
Jared takes a deep breath and smiles sheepishly. I guess I did get a little rushed and nervous thinking too much all at once.
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?"
"Ah, your news was so awesome it completely blocked my mind." Jared tells her about the conversation with Derek and how they talked about what happened after he left and how sad and hurt they both were. "I think we are going to be ok now. It was a great talk and I understand why he stayed away from me too and that he was hurt as well by my leaving like I did." He tells her about Derek quitting his job in order to come to the wedding and that Kendall was fired as she worked for the same firm and his parents have control over it.
"I'd like for them to stay with us for awhile if they would like it and of course if you wouldn't mind. Derek told me I needed to talk to you before inviting them and I think he was right about that. What do you think?"
"Jared we've got the third floor they can fix up and use as private quarters. It will give them more room than being stuck in the guest room, and of course we can share the rest of the house as needed. You know that won't bother me. I'm so happy that you guys talked it through. You both needed that. I think it is a great idea for them to stay. I know how much you missed him and we can get to know Kendall better. She seems perfect for him and I've enjoyed getting to know her."
Jared hugs her tightly to him. "That is exactly what I told Derek you would say. I love you Alexandra."
She hugs Jared tightly. "I love you Jared."
Derek and Kendall come outside and Alexandra shares the news of the pregnancy with Kendall and Derek. Jared lets Derek know that Alexandra is good with them staying. Derek said he mentioned it to Kendall and she agreed staying away from Roaring Heights would be a good idea. She loved the idea of staying here in Bridgeport and looks forward to getting to know them better.
Alexandra calls her Mom and Dad with the good news while Jared calls Brian and Melee. Everyone is very excited with the news and is offering advice and tips to the young couple.
Alexandra shows Kendall the room that will be converted into a nursery. "I bought the bookcase a long time ago, but, need to get the rest of the furnishings for a nursery now." They chat about current trends with nurseries and how important colors and sounds are for newborns.
Alexandra fixed Jared's favorite, hamburgers for dinner and he can't keep his eyes off her during dinner. After dinner the foursome played a game of dominoes and Kendall was the triumphant winner.
Kendall had a sudden wish to visit the cemetery in the moonlight. She wasn't completely eccentric enough to go alone so she talked to Derek and of course he said he'd go with her. They saw one ghost but left it alone. They did check out the bar below the mausoleum, but the bartender was absent. They went back to strolling in the moonlight and made out in the cemetery, both getting the kissed in the moonlight moodlet.
Jared and Alexandra went into the room that would be converted to a nursery and relaxed on the bed. They talked about their hopes and plans for the baby, discussed names for boys and girls, wondered if the baby would have her hair and his eyes. They also fooled around a bit too.
Jared and Derek are up early and chat about exercise while eating breakfast. Alexandra and Kendall get up later and talk about babies. Alexandra woke up with a tiny baby bump.
Derek gets on line and arranges for his and Kendall's things to be packed and shipped to Bridgeport. He has some money saved, as well as his trust fund that the parents cannot touch. He plans to start looking for a job soon as he is ambitious as well as disciplined and does not like being idle. Kendall has been reading one of Alexandra's cookbooks and sees that Derek is finished with his arrangements. She dances across the room, flirts happily with him and announces, "We are going shopping. You need some new threads, babe."
He smiles at her antics and laughs, shaking his head "You are going shopping, I'm going to train with Jared."
"Ok, that is fine. I understand that you would rather train than shop. You have to promise me one thing though, you will wear whatever I buy for you, no questions asked." She smiles up at him batting her long lashes and looking innocently around.
"On second thought, we need to get a baby gift for Alexandra and Jared so yes, I will go shopping with you."
Kendall had checked with Alexandra about the best places to shop for casual clothes and they browsed the racks and cabinets. Derek thought most of the shirts were too casual. "I'm just not comfortable wearing tshirts."
"You'll get there eventually." laughs Kendall.
Derek finally agreed to try a grey and black knit v-neck knit shirt with black jeans. Kendall loved it and Derek even smiled seeing himself in the mirror. He decided he would wear it home. While Derek was looking for the baby stuff she picked out a pair of shorts and another casual shirt for Derek and had the clerk package them up to deliver to the house later.
Derek talked to the clerk after looking through the store for baby items. Apparently baby items are kept in the warehouse. He looked through the catalog and picked out something he liked for the baby. "What do you think about this swing?" Derek called Kendall over to check it out. "Perfect, babies love movement and rocking motions. Lets get it."
Alexandra calls Jared up to the nursery. "We um, got busy," she giggles up at him, "before we really made decisions last night. I want to do some shopping later today, so, since we don't know the sex of the baby is greens and yellows ok with you?
"Yes, I would like it to be a happy room with sunny colors, not pastels. Jared watches her move and notice she seems uncomfortable. "Is your back hurting?"
Alexandra nods and Jared motions for her to turn around and gives her a nice deep massage that relaxes her aching muscles. "Thank you so much, that is much better." She gives him a quick kiss.
"I'm going to the library this morning. Would you like to come with me? They have some books about childbirth and babies that we should read."
They finish reading their books at the library. Jared stretches when he gets up. "All right, lets have that baby now while all that is fresh in my mind."
Alexandra shakes her head. "I'm going shopping. I'll be home in a bit. See you soon."
Once everyone is back home Alexandra and Jared show Derek and Kendall the rooms on the third floor. "The bathroom is still intact, but we emptied the other rooms when we moved our stuff to the second floor. Feel free to remove or replace any of the interior walls to open or close up the space. The balcony is lovely in the evenings to watch the changing colors in the sunset."
Derek and Kendall examine the rooms. "This is actually more space then what we had in the condo back in Roaring Heights! exclaims Kendall.
"It looks great. I'm not much of a decorator, but Kendall loves changing up things. I think our stuff will work well in this space. It should come in a few days. Kendall will probably want to get me started on painting walls tomorrow." Derek looks as if he doesn't mind being told what to do by Kendall.
Jared seems to know exactly when Alexandra needs a massage and gives her another massage before they sit down to watch the stars.
Before they settle in for the night Jared has to check up on his boy or girl. First he places his hand on her tummy and waits for that fluttering kick, then he tells the baby how much he or she is loved, and how they are so looking forward to meeting him or her. He quickly places his ear next to her tummy as if he can hear the baby chatting back. Alexandra is endeared by his actions and loves him all the more at how engaged he has become with the pregnancy.
Kendall has been working on improving her cooking skills. She fixes breakfast, making pancakes and flips them like a pro. She has decided she will look for a job in the cooking career.
The rocking chair Alexandra ordered has arrived and she sits in the rocker and realizes possibly by tomorrow the baby will be here. She starts crying, not able to stop herself. She calls her Mom and cries wondering what is wrong with her. Her Mom talks to her softly and tells her the story of how she sat on the floor crying her eyes out before Nikita was born. When Dimitri came in to find her he had no idea what to do. He sat down on the floor, pulled her into his lap, held her, and cried with her. Alexandra smiles and stops crying as she thinks about her big strong Dad crying with her Mom. Kiara reminds her that her hormones are all jumbled up right now and because it is almost time for the baby to be born it seems overwhelming. Alexandra feels better after talking to her Mom and changes her clothes and gets ready for the day
Kendall had overheard Alexandra's distress since she was in the next room cooking. She didn't want to interfere once she realized Alexandra had called her Mom. She cleans up the kitchen and hears Alexandra get off the phone, so she heads into the den. She feels like Alexandra needs some distraction. They had talked about Alexandra getting out while the painting was going on. "I would love to go to the spa and have the stylist help me with a new cut and outfit. Would you come with me if you feel up to it? You could advise me and get a lovely massage and a spa treatment while we are there."
"That sounds like the perfect plan. Thank you for inviting me Kendall."
Jared has arranged for few friends to help paint the nursery and the third floor rooms. Derek's clothing has not arrived yet so Jared loans him some clothes to wear. They start painting in the nursery as that is priority and will work on the 3rd floor after. The furniture for the nursery is being delivered in just a few hours. They open all the windows to provide good ventilation and so the paint fumes will dissipate faster. In just an hour the painting is completed in the nursery and the room will be ready for the furnishings once they get the upstairs done. The third floor painting is completed in record time. His friends and Derek make a good team and they joke about starting a painting company. None of them want to tackle wallpapering. Jared hires a team of professionals that will arrive in a few days to put the wallpaper up that Kendall has ordered. Jared and Derek provided pizza and beer for all and they relax once they finish setting up the nursery. It will be a few more days until Derek and Kendall's belongings arrive from Roaring Heights.
Alexandra is feeling much more relaxed after the massage and helping Kendall with the stylist. Kendall loves her new look and just hopes that Derek will love it too.
The girls arrive home and Alexandra hears Jared in the kitchen and goes in to say hello. Derek gets off the computer as they walk in. He looks at Kendall and admires her new hair and outfit. "You look terrific! The new style is very smexy" and he proceeds to show her just how smexy it is.
Jared gets a passionate kiss from Alexandra and she tells him about the visit to the spa and how relaxed she feels after talking to her Mom and getting the spa treatments. Jared tells her about the painting and how much they got accomplished with all the help he had. "The furnishings arrived and once we finished painting the third floor the nursery paint had dried. The guys were great and helped Derek and I put the things in the nursery. If you want to rearrange anything Derek and I will do it."
He pats her belly and tells the baby "Lets go show Mama the nursery."
"You picked out an awesome jungle theme and the colors are perfect." Jared tells her as the enter the room.
"It looks terrific. You guys arranged it perfectly." Alexandra is pleased with how they arranged the furnishings in the room.
Kendall calls everyone to dinner. Alexandra had a craving for grilled cheese sandwiches earlier, and luckily when Kendall offered to fix dinner she did know how to fix those. They enjoyed the simple but comforting dinner and Derek asked them to come into the den after dinner. "We love you guys so much. You have accepted us into your home and your hearts and we are so excited for the addition to the family to come. I hope you will enjoy using this gift. Kendall, being excitable claps her hands and waits for Alexandra to open the gift.
Alexandra tears off the gift wrap and finds a baby swing. They quickly open the box and fit it together and she envisions her baby in the swing, laughing and waving little arms as the baby swings back and forth.

@ZeeGee Thanks for the comments. Yes, I use one of Brntwaffles in my game because when I play in Midnight Hollow it is way too dark without the mod. I just don't take it out when I switch to Bridgeport or the other worlds.
Jared and Alexandra are relaxing on the bed chatting about how life is changing and how wonderful the changes are. Alexandra suddenly moans loudly, jumps off the bed, grabs her belly and moans even louder. Jared jumps off the bed in a tizzy, forgetting everything he read in the pregnancy books. He rushes around the bed to be closer to Alexandra. Another contraction starts and he remembers to coach her with her breathing. The contraction is over and Alexandra looks at him calmly for a few seconds until the next one hit. They are coming fast and furious and Alexandra remains calm in between each one her eyes locked on Jared.
With a last big push and a smile on her face their son Jamie was born. Jared watches in amazement as the baby squints his eyes as they open to the light in the room. He appears to be looking directly at him, and then, Jared would swear his son winks at him as their eyes meet. Jared has not experienced such sudden overwhelming love since the day he met Alexandra, and he experiences it again as he looks at his newborn son. Alexandra looks at Jared and smiles knowing they are both falling in love with their son. Both are so choked up with emotion they cannot talk yet.
Alexandra places the baby in the bassinet that she bought so they could have the baby in the room close by at times. She stands up, grabs her belly and groans once more. She stares at Jared as he watches her holding her belly and moaning. Another baby is coming! This one is in a hurry to be born. Alexandra has a few contractions and with a quick push and another happy smile Jade is born. Alexandra holds their little girl up marveling at how much joy she is feeling at this moment. [/url
Jared picks up their son and snuggles him close as Alexandra holds and snuggles their daughter. They are still both feeling a bit overwhelmed by the birth of not one but two babies. Jamie takes after his Dad trait wise he is friendly and brave. Jade takes after her Mom, she is friendly and artistic. They look at each other as they each hold a baby and start smiling. "I think we are going to need some adjustments in the nursery."
Jared nods, "I'll get online in a bit and go ahead and order an additional crib with a rush delivery. Wait til your Mom and Dad hear about this."
They settle the babies in the nursery, Jamie in the crib and Jade in the bassinet. Neither baby seems hungry, just tired. The delivery went smoothly and both babies are tuckered out and drift off to sleep quickly. Jared holds Alexandra in his arms, kisses her softly. "Have I told you lately how much I love you? I love you and my heart is so full right now with love for you, the babies, my brother and my life. I'm a lucky man."
"I love you Jared and I'm a lucky woman to have found you and now my life is so full of happiness and joy that I didn't even dream about as a girl. I didn't know it was possible to feel this way."
They peek at the sleeping babies and walk arm in arm back to their room which is next door. They undress and crawl into bed and snuggle up to each other and fall asleep as quickly as their babies.
Twins! I love the surprise!!! I love the way you decorated the nursery and i can't wait to see Derek's and Kendall's 3rd floor spot. I love that Jared and Derek will get the chance to know each other again and spend time together.
That was soooo sweet. Where did you get that crochet looking pattern for the bedspread and the baby bassinet? You have such wonderful things in your game.

Honeymoon and Home
The honeymoon suite has a private terrace and Alexandra and Jared enjoy a quiet brunch when they finally get out of bed. They plan to meet Derek, Kendall, Brian and Melee early afternoon at the nectary.
Dimitri and Kiara enjoy the view as they enjoy a late morning tea in their room.
Derek and Kendall grabbed breakfast at the cafe on their way to meet up with the others at the nectary.
The boys Anton and Zane ate pastries at the coffee cart. They had to chase the barista down as he was downstairs chatting with one of the gondolier's. Brian and Melee arrive next and Brian has a large late and Melee an herbal tea.
Matthew and Emily are playing chess at the hostel and trying to avoid the paparazzi.
Alexandra and Jared host Derek, Kendall, Brian and Melee to an afternoon of nectar tasting. It was the perfect time for Jared and Derek to reconnect as brothers, and for Derek and Kendall to get to know Alexandra, as well as Brian and Melee who are part of the family.
Dimitri and Kiara finally leave their room at the hotel and explore the town. They are completely charmed by the little cafe and try the specialty of the house, frog legs and enjoy them. Dimitri talks about visiting one of the local ponds and doing some fishing and Kiara quickly vetoes that and they visit the museum instead. Jared had told them to be sure to visit the nectary so that was next on the tour for them. Dimitri examines the sample bottles available and picked out one that had an interesting combination of grapes for them to try. Dimitri apparently took the chair Kiara wanted to sit in and she was a bit cranky with him. She quickly finishes her nectar and sat waiting for him to finish. "You could grow some grapes in the garden at home and make some of this lovely nectar to sell. Some of the prices for the nectars were quite high. It might give us more spending money."
Dimitri paused, and looked to see if she was serious. She was. He was intrigued by the idea. His garden made a tidy profit, but, the idea of nectar making and creating new flavors was surprisingly a novel idea that he accepted quite quickly. "I guess I can buy one of the books they have in the shop on nectar making and get a few grape plants so I can start increasing the quality of the grapes. I'm sure the better the grape the better the nectar."
Dimitri talked with the clerk and she recommended some books and a few plants to start with. She told him to go harvest what he wanted from the field outside. He would have to wait on the nectar machine as the price of that was not within his budget.
Jared and Alexandra got up early their last morning in Champs Les Sims. Jared had arranged for an early morning gondola trip around the canals. The beauty around them sparkling in the moonlight was a glorious site as they enjoy the trip. Alexandra rushes over to the fountain after they get off the gondola. She kneels down and runs her fingers through the water. How refreshing and cold it is. She dips her hand and takes a sip of the water suddenly desiring nothing more than to drink the waters. She feels completely energized and younger after swallowing the fountain water as if she has been given a new lease on life. She encourages Jared to take a sip and he kneels down and takes a drink of the water. Jared suddenly feels energized and a bit younger as well.
He takes her in his arms and kisses her. "It will be time to leave soon. Are you sorry to go?"
She shakes her head no. "It has been a marvelous time. I've enjoyed every minute. The wedding was everything I dreamed of. You and our family and friends made it perfect. I love you Jared and I'm ready to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much. Lets go home and make some babies!"
Jared grins happily. "That is something I don't mind practicing over and over. Do you think we might already be pregnant?"
Alexandra looks at him and laughingly questions, "Where did you get this we business? I think it would be too early to tell yet anyway."
Jared embraces her, "Soon, I hope. Lets go catch the limo to the airport."
They hurry to the rendezvous at the hostel where the others are waiting.

Welcome Home
Jared and Alexandra arrive home and as tradition demands Jared carries Alexandra over the threshold. The others await the romantic moment patiently pretending to be absorbed in looking about them at the street, the yard, each other and trying to give them a few moments of privacy. The jet had stopped in Moonlight Falls first and the Sims family returned to their home. The others travel to Bridgeport and will spend a day or two with the newlyweds before returning to their homes. They spend some time chatting in the living room talking about the wedding, the trip and how enjoyable it was. Melee explains that she and Brian must leave tomorrow as she has a gig and Brian is expected back at the studio. Brian is either playing an astronaut or possibly a yeti in a film.
Melee decides to play the piano. She is very musical and has gone several days without her instruments and has a strong wish to play for others. Everyone enjoys listening to her play as they talk, read or cook. Brian mixes a few party drinks, but his skill is not high and they are not fit to drink. Alexandra grills some salmon steaks and Melee compliments her on how well she has learned to cook.
After dinner they decide to enjoy the hot tub. Alexandra suddenly gets out and runs into the house. She used the all in one bathroom with the door shut! I guess she wanted privacy. She goes back to the hot tub where everyone is still enjoying the bubbles and relaxation. Jared asks her if she is all right. She nods and tells him everything is fine. Perhaps the salmon disagreed with her, but, everyone else seems fine.
Melee decides to fix a dessert for everyone to enjoy. Her favorite is cherry pie. It looks like everyone has left the hot tub and Jared mixes some party drinks. His skill level is high enough that his are drinkable. Everyone enjoys the cherry pie and Brian tells Melee she should share the recipe with the others. Jared hands out drinks after they finish the pie. Jared offers Alexandra one, but, she tells him her stomach is still a bit off and maybe she better not put anything else in it.
It is late and everyone is tired from the long flight and the long day. They settle in bed and the house is quiet, except for a few giggles and shh's and young lovers being loving even if they are tired.

Announcements
Alexandra is up early and fixes french toast for breakfast. The others are up as well and enjoy the breakfast, complimenting her on the meal. After breakfast Brian and Melee reluctantly must say goodbye. It is time for them to return to Starlight Shores and their life there. After the short trip on a commuter flight Brian and Melee arrive at their new home which still needs to have their personal touches added to it.
Kendall knows that Alexandra is an accomplished dancer and has always wanted to learn. Alexandra teaches her some basics to practice at the bar. She suddenly feels very nauseated and runs to the closest bathroom. She cleans her mouth and brushes her teeth, washes her face and looks in the mirror. Could I be pregnant she wonders?
Jared challenges Derek to a hoops contest. They rush outside and begin to shoot hoops like they were teenagers again. Jared has missed the friendly competitions that he and his brother had growing up. Jared usually won if it was athletic and Derek if it involved chess. Swoosh! Jared nails it while he watches Derek's ball bounce of the rim. "I'll nail it this time", shouts Derek as he shoots the ball and misses the board entirely. Jared snickers at his brother and then gets choked up with emotion.
He hugs Derek holding on tightly trying not to cry, but does anyway. "I've missed you Derek. I didn't expect to hear from the parents, but, you, I thought I would hear from you. Why the silence? Why did it take so long, and what happened to change your mind?"
Derek looks at the ground, shakes his head back and forth and looks up at Jared. "I knew eventually we would have to talk it out. I'm truly ashamed of my behavior and you didn't deserve the silence from me. At first, I really did not think you would go. I was hurt when you did and yet I knew deep down that you had to go. They were stifling you with their demands and you were not going to bow down like I did and conform to what they wanted. Not long after you left, I realized how silent and depressing and unhappy the house was without you in it. I missed you more than I thought possible, but was still hurt and angry that you left. I couldn't bear living there any longer. I had started arguing with the parents. They claimed you were influencing me even though you were not around and I had no idea where you had gone. I told them I was moving out, that I was an adult and it was time I started to behave like one. I moved out to an apartment, and then I found out you were in Bridgeport and moving up in the film career. At that point I was ashamed of my behavior and afraid to contact you." Derek pauses and looks at Jared who is looking back at him intently.
"What changed? Simple answer, Kendall. I met Kendall. She is my complete opposite and yet I knew the day I met her I loved her, and that she would change my life and she has. She told me I was being an *** and needed to contact you and get things right. The lawyer showed up in my office that afternoon with your wedding invitation. It was the perfect serendipity. I knew what I needed to do and started making arrangements. The firm did not want to grant me a leave, so, I gave my notice and left. I'm sure that was the parents influence since they are the majority stockholders for the firm. I did not try to hide the reason I wanted some time off. I'm truly sorry for hurting you and for staying away so long. I hope that someday we can be even closer than we were growing up. I know I'm still a proper snob at times, but Kendall will keep chipping away at that I'm sure." With hope in his eyes, Derek looks up at Jared.
"Derek, you are one lucky dude. I think you have found the perfect girl for you. If she can take you down, call you an *** and you still love her, she's a keeper. I forgave you as soon as I saw you at the wedding. I needed to know why though. I guess I really never thought about how you would feel with me leaving. I'm sorry I didn't think about your feelings. I just knew I needed to go. You forgive me for leaving you alone with the parents? Oh, you don't have a job to rush back to? I think you should stay here with us in Bridgeport for a bit and decide what you want to do. You could look about for a job here. Lots of business opportunities in the big city. What do you think?"
"I think you should talk to your wife before offering to let me stay here little brother! I need to talk to Kendall as well. We are engaged so Kendall needs to be in on the decision as well. She worked for the firm and she was fired and I'm sure that was orders from the parents as well. They certainly never approved of our dating since Kendall doesn't have a high class pedigree in their eyes. I think a change would be good for both of us. You talk to Alexandra and I'll talk with Kendall."
"Hey, she will be cool with it. She grew up in a tiny house with a large family and she misses having Brian and Melee around and talks about how quiet it is with just the two of us. I'll talk to her of course, but, think about it. We've got the whole third floor that can be fixed up for you and Kendall so you can have a private area."
Alexandra, resting after her earlier sickness awakens realizing she is pregnant. She hurries downstairs to talk with Jared and let him know.
Authors note:
(I had originally planned for Derek and Kendall to go to Roaring Heights as a travel connected world like Brian and Melee, but once I started seeing how Jared and Derek interacted it seemed as if they started writing the story. Jared wanted and needed his brother to stay. As much as he loves Alexandra, Derek is his brother and he needs him in his life. Amazing what sims do when you give them autonomy. I'm just glad he didn't go lusting after Elvira!! haha So, Derek and Kendall will be moving upstairs to the third floor until they get settled and then they will get their own place in Bridgeport.)

Exciting news
Alexandra hurries downstairs and finds Jared outside talking with Derek. Jared smiles and holds his hand out to her as she comes closer "Hi, I needed to talk with you"
Derek goes inside to find Kendall and give them some privacy.
Alexandra squeezes his hand and bounces while she talks. "I need to talk with you also. You are not going to believe it. We are pregnant." she tells him smiling happily.
Jared is very surprised, excited and happy with the news and kisses his lovely wife. He also tells the baby hello and he is looking forward to meeting the baby.
"We've got to call your parents and let them know. Then call Brian and Melee. Oh my goodness, we have to get a nursery prepared also. Are you feeling alright? Is that why you had to rush out of the hot tub last night? Maybe you should be lying down?"
"Jared! Take a deep breath, please. Are you going to be a nervous Dad to be?"
Jared takes a deep breath and smiles sheepishly. I guess I did get a little rushed and nervous thinking too much all at once.
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?"
"Ah, your news was so awesome it completely blocked my mind." Jared tells her about the conversation with Derek and how they talked about what happened after he left and how sad and hurt they both were. "I think we are going to be ok now. It was a great talk and I understand why he stayed away from me too and that he was hurt as well by my leaving like I did." He tells her about Derek quitting his job in order to come to the wedding and that Kendall was fired as she worked for the same firm and his parents have control over it.
"I'd like for them to stay with us for awhile if they would like it and of course if you wouldn't mind. Derek told me I needed to talk to you before inviting them and I think he was right about that. What do you think?"
"Jared we've got the third floor they can fix up and use as private quarters. It will give them more room than being stuck in the guest room, and of course we can share the rest of the house as needed. You know that won't bother me. I'm so happy that you guys talked it through. You both needed that. I think it is a great idea for them to stay. I know how much you missed him and we can get to know Kendall better. She seems perfect for him and I've enjoyed getting to know her."
Jared hugs her tightly to him. "That is exactly what I told Derek you would say. I love you Alexandra."
She hugs Jared tightly. "I love you Jared."
Derek and Kendall come outside and Alexandra shares the news of the pregnancy with Kendall and Derek. Jared lets Derek know that Alexandra is good with them staying. Derek said he mentioned it to Kendall and she agreed staying away from Roaring Heights would be a good idea. She loved the idea of staying here in Bridgeport and looks forward to getting to know them better.
Alexandra calls her Mom and Dad with the good news while Jared calls Brian and Melee. Everyone is very excited with the news and is offering advice and tips to the young couple.
Alexandra shows Kendall the room that will be converted into a nursery. "I bought the bookcase a long time ago, but, need to get the rest of the furnishings for a nursery now." They chat about current trends with nurseries and how important colors and sounds are for newborns.
Alexandra fixed Jared's favorite, hamburgers for dinner and he can't keep his eyes off her during dinner. After dinner the foursome played a game of dominoes and Kendall was the triumphant winner.
Kendall had a sudden wish to visit the cemetery in the moonlight. She wasn't completely eccentric enough to go alone so she talked to Derek and of course he said he'd go with her. They saw one ghost but left it alone. They did check out the bar below the mausoleum, but the bartender was absent. They went back to strolling in the moonlight and made out in the cemetery, both getting the kissed in the moonlight moodlet.
Jared and Alexandra went into the room that would be converted to a nursery and relaxed on the bed. They talked about their hopes and plans for the baby, discussed names for boys and girls, wondered if the baby would have her hair and his eyes. They also fooled around a bit too.

Shopping
Jared and Derek are up early and chat about exercise while eating breakfast. Alexandra and Kendall get up later and talk about babies. Alexandra woke up with a tiny baby bump.
Derek gets on line and arranges for his and Kendall's things to be packed and shipped to Bridgeport. He has some money saved, as well as his trust fund that the parents cannot touch. He plans to start looking for a job soon as he is ambitious as well as disciplined and does not like being idle. Kendall has been reading one of Alexandra's cookbooks and sees that Derek is finished with his arrangements. She dances across the room, flirts happily with him and announces, "We are going shopping. You need some new threads, babe."
He smiles at her antics and laughs, shaking his head "You are going shopping, I'm going to train with Jared."
"Ok, that is fine. I understand that you would rather train than shop. You have to promise me one thing though, you will wear whatever I buy for you, no questions asked." She smiles up at him batting her long lashes and looking innocently around.
"On second thought, we need to get a baby gift for Alexandra and Jared so yes, I will go shopping with you."
Kendall had checked with Alexandra about the best places to shop for casual clothes and they browsed the racks and cabinets. Derek thought most of the shirts were too casual. "I'm just not comfortable wearing tshirts."
"You'll get there eventually." laughs Kendall.
Derek finally agreed to try a grey and black knit v-neck knit shirt with black jeans. Kendall loved it and Derek even smiled seeing himself in the mirror. He decided he would wear it home. While Derek was looking for the baby stuff she picked out a pair of shorts and another casual shirt for Derek and had the clerk package them up to deliver to the house later.
Derek talked to the clerk after looking through the store for baby items. Apparently baby items are kept in the warehouse. He looked through the catalog and picked out something he liked for the baby. "What do you think about this swing?" Derek called Kendall over to check it out. "Perfect, babies love movement and rocking motions. Lets get it."
Alexandra calls Jared up to the nursery. "We um, got busy," she giggles up at him, "before we really made decisions last night. I want to do some shopping later today, so, since we don't know the sex of the baby is greens and yellows ok with you?
"Yes, I would like it to be a happy room with sunny colors, not pastels. Jared watches her move and notice she seems uncomfortable. "Is your back hurting?"
Alexandra nods and Jared motions for her to turn around and gives her a nice deep massage that relaxes her aching muscles. "Thank you so much, that is much better." She gives him a quick kiss.
"I'm going to the library this morning. Would you like to come with me? They have some books about childbirth and babies that we should read."
They finish reading their books at the library. Jared stretches when he gets up. "All right, lets have that baby now while all that is fresh in my mind."
Alexandra shakes her head. "I'm going shopping. I'll be home in a bit. See you soon."
Once everyone is back home Alexandra and Jared show Derek and Kendall the rooms on the third floor. "The bathroom is still intact, but we emptied the other rooms when we moved our stuff to the second floor. Feel free to remove or replace any of the interior walls to open or close up the space. The balcony is lovely in the evenings to watch the changing colors in the sunset."
Derek and Kendall examine the rooms. "This is actually more space then what we had in the condo back in Roaring Heights! exclaims Kendall.
"It looks great. I'm not much of a decorator, but Kendall loves changing up things. I think our stuff will work well in this space. It should come in a few days. Kendall will probably want to get me started on painting walls tomorrow." Derek looks as if he doesn't mind being told what to do by Kendall.
Jared seems to know exactly when Alexandra needs a massage and gives her another massage before they sit down to watch the stars.
Before they settle in for the night Jared has to check up on his boy or girl. First he places his hand on her tummy and waits for that fluttering kick, then he tells the baby how much he or she is loved, and how they are so looking forward to meeting him or her. He quickly places his ear next to her tummy as if he can hear the baby chatting back. Alexandra is endeared by his actions and loves him all the more at how engaged he has become with the pregnancy.

Getting Ready for the Baby
Kendall has been working on improving her cooking skills. She fixes breakfast, making pancakes and flips them like a pro. She has decided she will look for a job in the cooking career.
The rocking chair Alexandra ordered has arrived and she sits in the rocker and realizes possibly by tomorrow the baby will be here. She starts crying, not able to stop herself. She calls her Mom and cries wondering what is wrong with her. Her Mom talks to her softly and tells her the story of how she sat on the floor crying her eyes out before Nikita was born. When Dimitri came in to find her he had no idea what to do. He sat down on the floor, pulled her into his lap, held her, and cried with her. Alexandra smiles and stops crying as she thinks about her big strong Dad crying with her Mom. Kiara reminds her that her hormones are all jumbled up right now and because it is almost time for the baby to be born it seems overwhelming. Alexandra feels better after talking to her Mom and changes her clothes and gets ready for the day
Kendall had overheard Alexandra's distress since she was in the next room cooking. She didn't want to interfere once she realized Alexandra had called her Mom. She cleans up the kitchen and hears Alexandra get off the phone, so she heads into the den. She feels like Alexandra needs some distraction. They had talked about Alexandra getting out while the painting was going on. "I would love to go to the spa and have the stylist help me with a new cut and outfit. Would you come with me if you feel up to it? You could advise me and get a lovely massage and a spa treatment while we are there."
"That sounds like the perfect plan. Thank you for inviting me Kendall."
Jared has arranged for few friends to help paint the nursery and the third floor rooms. Derek's clothing has not arrived yet so Jared loans him some clothes to wear. They start painting in the nursery as that is priority and will work on the 3rd floor after. The furniture for the nursery is being delivered in just a few hours. They open all the windows to provide good ventilation and so the paint fumes will dissipate faster. In just an hour the painting is completed in the nursery and the room will be ready for the furnishings once they get the upstairs done. The third floor painting is completed in record time. His friends and Derek make a good team and they joke about starting a painting company. None of them want to tackle wallpapering. Jared hires a team of professionals that will arrive in a few days to put the wallpaper up that Kendall has ordered. Jared and Derek provided pizza and beer for all and they relax once they finish setting up the nursery. It will be a few more days until Derek and Kendall's belongings arrive from Roaring Heights.
Alexandra is feeling much more relaxed after the massage and helping Kendall with the stylist. Kendall loves her new look and just hopes that Derek will love it too.
The girls arrive home and Alexandra hears Jared in the kitchen and goes in to say hello. Derek gets off the computer as they walk in. He looks at Kendall and admires her new hair and outfit. "You look terrific! The new style is very smexy" and he proceeds to show her just how smexy it is.
Jared gets a passionate kiss from Alexandra and she tells him about the visit to the spa and how relaxed she feels after talking to her Mom and getting the spa treatments. Jared tells her about the painting and how much they got accomplished with all the help he had. "The furnishings arrived and once we finished painting the third floor the nursery paint had dried. The guys were great and helped Derek and I put the things in the nursery. If you want to rearrange anything Derek and I will do it."
He pats her belly and tells the baby "Lets go show Mama the nursery."
"You picked out an awesome jungle theme and the colors are perfect." Jared tells her as the enter the room.
"It looks terrific. You guys arranged it perfectly." Alexandra is pleased with how they arranged the furnishings in the room.
Kendall calls everyone to dinner. Alexandra had a craving for grilled cheese sandwiches earlier, and luckily when Kendall offered to fix dinner she did know how to fix those. They enjoyed the simple but comforting dinner and Derek asked them to come into the den after dinner. "We love you guys so much. You have accepted us into your home and your hearts and we are so excited for the addition to the family to come. I hope you will enjoy using this gift. Kendall, being excitable claps her hands and waits for Alexandra to open the gift.
Alexandra tears off the gift wrap and finds a baby swing. They quickly open the box and fit it together and she envisions her baby in the swing, laughing and waving little arms as the baby swings back and forth.

And Baby Makes 4
Jared and Alexandra are relaxing on the bed chatting about how life is changing and how wonderful the changes are. Alexandra suddenly moans loudly, jumps off the bed, grabs her belly and moans even louder. Jared jumps off the bed in a tizzy, forgetting everything he read in the pregnancy books. He rushes around the bed to be closer to Alexandra. Another contraction starts and he remembers to coach her with her breathing. The contraction is over and Alexandra looks at him calmly for a few seconds until the next one hit. They are coming fast and furious and Alexandra remains calm in between each one her eyes locked on Jared.
With a last big push and a smile on her face their son Jamie was born. Jared watches in amazement as the baby squints his eyes as they open to the light in the room. He appears to be looking directly at him, and then, Jared would swear his son winks at him as their eyes meet. Jared has not experienced such sudden overwhelming love since the day he met Alexandra, and he experiences it again as he looks at his newborn son. Alexandra looks at Jared and smiles knowing they are both falling in love with their son. Both are so choked up with emotion they cannot talk yet.
Alexandra places the baby in the bassinet that she bought so they could have the baby in the room close by at times. She stands up, grabs her belly and groans once more. She stares at Jared as he watches her holding her belly and moaning. Another baby is coming! This one is in a hurry to be born. Alexandra has a few contractions and with a quick push and another happy smile Jade is born. Alexandra holds their little girl up marveling at how much joy she is feeling at this moment.
Jared picks up their son and snuggles him close as Alexandra holds and snuggles their daughter. They are still both feeling a bit overwhelmed by the birth of not one but two babies. Jamie takes after his Dad trait wise he is friendly and brave. Jade takes after her Mom, she is friendly and artistic. They look at each other as they each hold a baby and start smiling. "I think we are going to need some adjustments in the nursery."
Jared nods, "I'll get online in a bit and go ahead and order an additional crib with a rush delivery. Wait til your Mom and Dad hear about this."
They settle the babies in the nursery, Jamie in the crib and Jade in the bassinet. Neither baby seems hungry, just tired. The delivery went smoothly and both babies are tuckered out and drift off to sleep quickly. Jared holds Alexandra in his arms, kisses her softly. "Have I told you lately how much I love you? I love you and my heart is so full right now with love for you, the babies, my brother and my life. I'm a lucky man."
"I love you Jared and I'm a lucky woman to have found you and now my life is so full of happiness and joy that I didn't even dream about as a girl. I didn't know it was possible to feel this way."
They peek at the sleeping babies and walk arm in arm back to their room which is next door. They undress and crawl into bed and snuggle up to each other and fall asleep as quickly as their babies.
