I prefer a good balance of both... so I keep a tally mark of when my Sims find out that they are pregnant and look at the gender via the Command center. Then from there I take a look and edit the pregnancies that are currently happening so that there is the same number of male and female children coming forth.
I delete the same-(y) faced, generic rolled out townies. You know, the men generated with the boxy faces, eyes really close together, looking like a caricature of Ryan Seacrest? Also the generated women who look like some Betty Boop or a Disney princess. I like realistic looking Sims, attractive or not the ones generated…
They are all ugly and unrealistic. I have never seen any real human being that looks anything like them who isn't 'special'. I don't wish to offend but that is the most concise way I can describe EA's randomly spawned townies. I hate the ones with the pear shaped bodies, and ugly mismatched clothes the most. Actually I…
I like it, simply because it is a channel for my inspirative and imaginative wanderings. I like to be able to create original characters I have made up, and orchestrate their lives. I also like it for the sake of conducting social experiments that would be considered unethical in real life.
I prefer mine to be realistic as possible. I really do not care at all about the pudding faces -- I just do not see them as worthy of my game so I exterminate them. So, I make sure their features are as believable as possible -- by using at least one hundred different sliders and loads of layering and texturing with makeup.
I tend to play with my "own" -- otherwise, edited Sims I have downloaded from other creators; like my favorite Game of Thrones characters. I end up moving in my favorite townies / pre mades to the games I play since I see them like old friends.
I really have a thing for industrial style furniture and architecture; that and Urban and Rustic. I am a magpie for stuff like that-- I love looking at interior design blogs and on Pinterest and modeling Sims homes after that. I also have a thing for good quality CAS items, basically anything I can customize and create…
I use my imagination a lot; since the game doesn't register ethnicities and nationalities outside Egypt, France and China. Most of my Sims are Indian (from India), Mexican, Russian, English, Hungarian, Romanian or from someplace else in Eastern Europe. In some of my older saves, I have nearly entire towns of Russian…
To be honest, I have stopped comparing them. The Sims 4 is in it's relative infancy while the Sims 3 is a complete game. They are just different, apples and oranges. I enjoy them both, depending on my mood -- same for Sims 2.
It's definitely therapeutic. Not to mention utterly hilarious. I've spent way too much time decorating to destroy my own Sims property; but I don't care much for a lot of my neighbors choice of decor. It is funnier when they are just standing around helplessly stomping their feet; moaning, and groaning and growling while…
I am as well having issues with the Nraas mods, oddly enough I have all the newest versions. I even redownloaded all the sliders I had before, last night. I didn't make any changes to my game since July and my game loads without my mods folder in it. Like, I can get into worlds. While with the mods folder the way it is,…
It's weird, since all I have are sliders which I was fairly positive were up to date the last time I played, which was in July as well as all the Nraas mods, and some skin, hair and eye mods. I literally pruned my mods folder to the scantest it has ever been and my game is all patched. I know it works when I take the Mods…
I actually tried loading it before adding in the mods folder, and installing CC and was able to get into a world, which leads me to., That is a good idea. I have been removing a lot of suspect mods, except for the Nraas ones which I have the latest of. I'll let you and everyone else here know once I am able to get in. I…
Mine won't fully load either, except instead of hanging -- mine merely crashes! I hope that your issue is resolved, though it is beyond my own expertise.
Wow, I don't even leave my PC on for more than six or eight hours at a time. I can't imagine a gaming session that long. I am paranoid about losing progress, it really is a good idea to save and often. Saving on TS4 takes a lot less time than it does for me on TS2 and TS3. I literally can go and take a shower or cook…
