IJai, I agree with Nik, your Casino is quite nice and I love the compact style. I prefer smaller lots, so was totally what I was looking for and I didn't have to build it. So thank you.
You would be surprised how many people actually love other peoples playing styles. i think it expands the Sims experience to try some thing different every now and then - but as far as this lot - it is adorable and perfect for my own style of playing. I find the EA Casino just so big. It works well in LP but is very limited in other worlds - but yours could be adapted real nicely to just about any world - so I am super glad you shared it. Blessings to you.

Thank you very much for the super kind words. It means alot. You really think it could be placed in other worlds? I'm not so sure. I built it specifically for 18 Veronaville #C (I didn't even like how it plays in lot #E). Maybe if you removed the exterior border fortification walls I guess, but then I think it would play awkwardly.
I designed and layed out the house in the middle specifically taking into consideration that the walls were there. That's why the kitchen/living room turned restaurant/sitting room is upstairs as to have a view over the walls. Plus, since casinos don't generally have windows (right?) it made the idea of having the casino room downstairs fit perfect. Yes, I know I totally put too much thought into it. But that's how I make my lots and why I feel others wouldn't be interested.
Again thanks. My next lot for Monte Vista is going to be a supernatural cosignment store. I love playing with the elixirs. I'm thinking of building it across from the market or on the other side of the house next door to the market. If I decide to upload it, that probably won't be until next weekend, but no promises.
If anyone wants to help test this, I put the Big Show rig and stage inside the Stadium. The advantage to this one is that your sim can enter the inner circle and ask the Proprietor for a gig, so you don't have to wait to see if s/he might come out like you normally do with custom created Big Show venues (I guess you only get the option to call the proprietor out on those huge EA venues). It is also too small for the Big Show Crowd doohickey thingamabob, so the crowds will be smaller - similar to the other venues. I really don't mind since I find the fake crowds to be a little on the creepy side.
The lot also has some spawners (so edit and remove extras if you have to rotate the lot) and a Seasonal Lot Marker for the seasonal food stands that I placed there. I haven't checked yet if sims can still go to work in the Sports career but I think it's OK - I sent my sim to visit the stadium and that worked fine even with the SHT stuff on the lot.
I'll check the thread after I get home from work tomorrow to see if anyone has any feedback - I won't be able to test it til then so if no one can help I will report back and let you all know how it works!
The Sims
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?!
Sorry, if I'm being a bother, but what specifically makes the coliseum act as both? Is it just placing the stage rig in the middle or is there more to it than that?
Edit:
HappySimmer3, the download didn't work for me. I'm not familiar with mediafire so I don't know what happened.

I'll be eagerly awaiting -- I've been looking at buildings in Champs les Sims to see if any of them could be adapted for a consignment store (I really love the one in Twinbrook; it has two empty floors on top of the first floor so I made one a Pet Shop with the Pet Store Register and one an Elixir Shop with the Elixir Store Register, and renamed it The Emporium). I stuck the standard one in town just to have one in there, but it really doesn't fit the theme. (I also put in the standard fire station and salon, but they don't look right either.) I did bring over a couple of houses and did some modifications -- the Lavender house which is on the lot next to the fishing center, and the Jonquil House which is on a 40x40 lot. Neither one of them had a garage (since no one owns cars in Champs les Sims) so I added a 1-car garage to the Lavender House, and the Jonquil House had a building that easily converted to garage, with enough room to add a basement with spiral stairs for a nectary (my Sims there are going to be nectar specialists along with their other jobs).

I took the nectary from the France world and placed it next to that park and I added the ambitions objects upstairs instead of the bedrooms to make it like an artist's sanctuary. I also took Barney's Salon from Ambitions and redesigned the exterior to match the neighborhood. I might redo the inside at some pont too.
I never thought to convert one of the homes from there into something. I don't think I've even looked at any of the homes from any of the vacation worlds. That's a nice idea. Thanks. I might look there for inspiration, but as far as my elixir consigment store I think I'm already committed to the idea of building it from scratch.

I was going to use the nectary, but I didn't like all the tomb stuff underneath; bluebellflora has a very nice nectary on a 40x40 lot and she does wonderful builds so I used that (I put it on one of the lots along the shore, near the community zoned lot that I used for the Farmers Market venue). I used Barney's as well since it was already in the Community Lots bin; it actually came out pretty well just by changing the roof to terra cotta (to match the rest of the buildings in the center) and changing out the small oak tree for an olive tree (though I used a small olive tree from World Adventures rather than the one that came with Monte Vista; it fit a little bit better). Didn't worry about the walls; figured it was a new construction so the walls weren't weathered yet.
Found the perfect building for my combination consignment shop -- the General Store has three floors, two of them empty. I turned the second floor into the elixir shop, and am leaving the third floor vacant in case a future expansion pack brings something really fun to put there. 8) And it's a 20x20 lot so it fits perfectly next to the grocery store/diner which is where my gardening Sim works, so anything his girlfriend (eventual wife) sculpts, he can stop off and put up for sale on his way to work. And now that I have an elixir shop, I can think about possibly adding some supernaturals to the world though I'll probably keep Aidan and Katrina human this game (I've played them in other saves with Aidan a werewolf and Katrina a witch, but not this time -- maybe their kids will marry supernaturals...)
The main reason I used buildings from Champs les Sims is that I suck at building, and Monte Vista is so new that I didn't think I'd be able to find anything on the Exchange yet. When I heard about your casino in another thread I jumped on it -- it's perfect for Monte Vista, and will give Aidan and Katrina a place to go on dates while he's courting her. Just need someone to build a Mediterranean themed dance club, preferably on a 35x35 lot, and I'll be all set... (not to drop any hints or anything... )

BTW, thanks for the compliments. I don't usually upload my lots, I don't consider myself a builder, plus my lots tend to be very specific to my tastes and play style. I also fear that since I usually use items from so many different EPs, SPs, and store sets when I build, that only players who have everything could enjoy them the way I intended.
Can you really edit the coliseum and just put a big show stage in the middle and have it be both a stadium and big show venue? Is it just as easy and placing the stage rig and adding a stage and whatnot or is there more to it? I'm curious. I hadn't thought of doing that.
iJai , I love your casino, recommended and downloaded.
I was wondering about the stadium also. you can place the stage in the middle without using MOO, but you would have to use MOO to place the crowd thingie. I have never made one before so I don't know if that is okay. I guess I'll try and if it doesn't work, I'll put it under the stadium.
Thank you for this. I might buy MV tomorrow (er..well...today. lol. its 3 AM) but was debating since I heave read a lot of problems with it and since I already have a handful of problems thanks to Seasons, I was leaning toward not buying it.
But some of these lots seem nice and hopefully will replace or extinguish lot space problems. I do like to edit my town and add bars/supernatural hangouts, ext.

Heard about it on another thread? Really! I just built it today. That's cool.
At first I thought about just making an exact replica of the nectary on a smaller lot like I've done with many other lots before, but then I saw it was the same size as that lot by the park and I thought that was perfect I'll never use that lot for anything else anyway. I don't generally build massive lots. I assume the tombs are broke, but I haven't bothered deleting them yet. I liked the idea of a nectary on a large plot of land.
I'm obsessive about my lots matching the local aesthetic so I completely redid the outside of Barney's Salon. The brick, the masonary floors, the steps, benches, windows, everything. I've done the same to the retreat lot as well. Those are only two I've placed. I was successful in converting the existing lots to fit my needs and after building the elixir store I think I good to play. Can you put both consignment store registers on the same lot? Eventually, I'll probably build a dance club and a dive bar on those two community lots going up the hill.

Didn't feel like going through that much work with the Salon; I might do more work on it if I don't have much time to actually play I prefer playing when I have at least a couple of hours to devote to my families -- redecorating I can do in a half hour or so. At least with the roof changed it's not so glaring from Map Mode. Maybe I can at least change out the walls of the Fire Station and add an actual roof -- probably hipped -- that will blend in better with the surroundings. I'd like to bring over my little entertainment center (remodeled The Red Rendezvous from Twinbrook) but it'll need some work to fit the locale. It's got a game room on the second floor and a dance floor on the third, with bars on both first and third floors; I took out the stereo on the first floor and put in a karaoke machine, and since I'm not placing any Showtime venues that would be a good place for my Sims to do karaoke.
There are mods out there that make the Relics register work in non-WA worlds; haven't tried any of those yet or I might put up a Relics store as well. (I have a mod that sells WA books and items in the regular stores, including all the produce so I don't have to travel.)

To make it into a ST venue you need the rig, the stage object from buydebug, and a lot type. Come to think of it I'm not sure if I remembered to change the lot type to a Big Show venue or not! :P
The Sims
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?!
Introducing... The Bachelorette!
PLEASE NOTE: THIS LOT IS DESIGNED TO FIT THE PLACE OF '721 BELLA VISTA DRIVE' IN THE SIMS 3 STORE WORLD OF MONTE VISTA.
Perfect for a single sim or even a couple, this small starter home has a cosy open plan layout, with a balcony at the rear, a spare room (perhaps a study?) and a small room at ground level ideal for skill building items. The build is fully furnished and uses NO CUSTOM CONTENT.
I hope you all enjoy this Monte Vista inspired lot!
Not sure if my MV creation counts for this thread since I am turning it into Victorian/Steampump(/steampunk) world especially the top city. But these 2 lots were made for MV and I have been working on with and without MV. Same general template 2 versions the Victorian version and the Steampump version (edit: Update for the exchange I had a issue with spawners gone out of control I guess from replacing the lot over and over have the duplicate a few times (between the 2 lots I was deleteing spawners for 40mins o.O; )):
To OP, if this is not MV theme enough and not really what you were wanting in your post, I have no issue taking this off
edit: also I have re-clothed (and did minor-ish edits (some named changes, some hair/facial/body, some children aged to teens and one household merge)) 21 of the monte vista households to a steampunk and/or Victorian theme (mostly the removal of sunglasses and lighten up the Italian influence (Some O's A's removed, some name changes or slang), added some quirkiness and of course dressing in steampunk or Victorian or like attire (including casual, formal and winter only some were edited for sleep/swim/atheistic wear)), now my question would anyone be interest in these households (lots of hours on them if you are not wanting to do it yourself)?
I have remade the Al Fresco Street Market CC free. I have tried to make an exact replica of EAs original lot. It is on a more compact and more practical sized lot of 30 x 30. Here is the link plus in game images:
It is a busy venue. A child has even set up a bake stand
