Here's some pictures I've taken, I haven't had much time to play. (My graphics aren't the best as I'm playing on a 3 year old laptop)
Rain at sunrise:
At the Al Fresco market:
Apollonia's new home in Monte Vista:
Getting involved with the married Dante Costa:
Finally, eating at the pizzaria:
I like Monte Vista so far but I feel slightly disappointed with it, can't quite put my finger on why though as it is beautiful. I guess I just still like Lucky Palms best
A brief preface: I've been lurking on the forums for several months now but I'm terribly shy so haven't ever replied to a post before, however I felt compelled to crawl out of my shell this time.
First, a HUGE thanks to all who created and shared MV-themed lots (residential and commercial) - not only are they inspiring I also downloaded and added them to my game, and can't wait to play them! I'm terrible at building and focus mostly on playing sims and families so having new places to flesh out their stories is quite the gift. Many thanks also to all those who shared pictures, since I get hung up on controlling my sims I often forget to stop and enjoy the gorgeous scenic details like a sunrise or how things look in the rain/snow. Please keep it coming on all fronts!
Last, AznSenei: I actually was having lagging issues in EVERY world prior to installing MV, but since I started playing with it things have been smooth and as flawless as TS3 gets. Just for reference sake, I'm playing on a four year old MacBook Pro with all EPs, no SPs, every store world, and several mods.

So glad you did! Welcome!
To everyone else, I'm loving the pictures and lots you've shared! Stunning!
I had been building a supernatural hangout/park prior to the release of Seasons. I pulled it back up and renovated the building a bit to make it fit in more with Monte Vista. Although, I think it would work in any world
Grimm's Fairy Tale Park
It uses most of the EPs prior to Seasons. There are a fair number of store items in there as well. I've placed it at 12 Via Verona Way.
This park was built for your supernaural sims, but your human sims will enjoy it too. The park holds: the 🐸🐸🐸🐸 Wagon, a maze with the fountain of youth, a fairy garden, a herbal garden, a witches workshop, the Fairy Arboretum, a vampire's underground retreat, a children's play area, restrooms and more. It was primarily built before Seasons so that EP should not be needed. It uses many store items including one DP item (mushroom) but they should be replaced in game with another item. CC Free
ruthless_kk - thanks a bunch for sharing your creations, they're gorgeous and perfect for MV! Have downloaded and recommended them, if you create anything else I hope you provide links!
Halle_M - thank you for the kind welcome, I appreciate it!
General question to all since this is a sharing thread: those of you who have supernatural, are you populating MV with occults or keeping it purely human? I couldn't decide at first, but ended up disabling supernaturals since it just seemed to clash a bit with the whole feel of the world. I know everyone's style is different and some people really love SN - I love it myself - I'm just curious how others chose to play MV with SN installed. I can see the Twilight angle and populating MV with lots of vampires (not my cup of tea but to each their own!), which would actually be funny since it seems EVERYONE wears sunglasses 24/7, but I couldn't see witches and werewolves "blending" into the very distinctive atmosphere of Monte Vista. Thoughts?
I never shut off any of the sims and enjoy all the different types.(I don't care for the zombies though, but seeing they are not a creature but my sims neighbors, guess I am stuck with those); But seeing MV is European/Mediterranean I really couldn't see any place actually more fitting for the creatures as our oldest stories and tales of "beings" actually have European beginnings - long before they were remotely an American phenom. But then I look at life through the eyes of a writer, so I have been strongly influenced since childhood from books almost exclusively of European origin. So that is partly my view, as I surely associate Witches, Fairies, and Vampires as European - zombies as Haitan, Genies as Middleeastern. Maybe the aliens is more Americanized - but the rest is most definitely European. And speaking of Twilight - if we are to go there, the oldest vampires - the Voltare's home port was Italy and before that France. But regardless you should play your game the way you want it to be and not at all as others think it should be. I actually like everyones pictures and stories so far anyway. But it really should be your choice, as we all play the way we do for many reasons. I just have been a long time reader of very old books - so that is my biggest influence.
To all the posters of the great MV stuff, I just love everything you all are making. Thank you all so much for sharing.

I decided to play it without any occult creatures. Like you said, I felt like it took away from the whole MV feel. I may introduce vampires at some point, but right now I am happy with my purely human town. (Except for the occasional zombies. Lol)
I updated the Worries and Woes Country Pub. I added a third story and put in a dance floor and karaoke machine. The second floor has a pool table and video machines. The first floor has been updated with a professional dive bar. I added the teppanaki grill and pizza ovens also. It isn't anything overly fancy, but just an improvement over the existing Pub.

Monte Vista is gorgeous. I would love to see more pictures.
@CLP, he created a lot, then modified it.
I played for a couple hours..and I didn't experience any routing issues..*keeping fingers crossed* and there are really people at the house parties.
The winters are gorgeous
