I got some lovely photos of MV this evening, including my first ever encounter with a Unicorn! I'll be sure to share them with you all tomorrow. For now though, goodnight, and I look forward to seeing all your fantastic screens in the morning!
Slightly off topic ******: Is there a step by step tutorial somewhere that tells how to post pictures from the game into this forum.
I only know how to take pictures while playing and then I know how to upload them to the official page I have and they get placed into the "media" section. But then how do I get them from there to this forum for example?
I've got some great pictures I'd like to share, but I haven't even uploaded onto my page. They sit for now in the game launcher.:(
WOW! Monte Vista is beautiful! Fantastic pictures fellow simmers Thank you for taking the time to share them.
Everyone must be playing their new world and venue as there are not as many photos as I thought there would be LOL
How are the townies? What are MVs residents like? Has EA given them all good bios? My favorite part of a new world is getting to know and befriend the locals
I am very much looking forward to getting this world and the new Al Fresco Market for my Son and I with my savings at Christmas
Happy gaming fellow simmers. Please can someone post pictures and information about the townies and happenings in the Market ie. Is it always busy? Does the weather effect it? etc. 8)
WOW! Well done, all! I'm in the process of setting up my town to where I'm ready to post pics. I'm just playing a single YA Female to get a feel for the place, and later I'll take more atmospheric shots. I'm PSYCHED to use this World in a story!!
To answer your question, AznSensei, I haven't experienced any lag, but I did see some hiccuping in the opening animation (where it wasn't a smooth camera pan) and a little bit of "skipping" while my Sim was moving (meaning, suddenly she's on her bike at one point on the street, and suddenly she is further up the street with no time between). However, these instances are very minor and rare.
This world is so gorgeous, everyone's screenshots in this thread are really doing the world justice. It's stunning. I've spent an hour just zooming around the neighbourhood taking pictures.
I also created a family with the most rubbish back story, but I felt it that it could be kinda fun to play a "mafia" style family in this neighbourhood.
So, meet the Vista siblings:
The Vista family had once stood at the heart of the community in Monte Vista. Alonso Vista, who had founded the small town centuries ago, had started off a strong, wealthy family that watched over the town as it developed, keeping the citizens happy and cared for.
Fifteen generations passed and the family slowly fell into demise, starting a feud with another large family that had settled into the town, named the Montys. They drove the Vistas out of the land that they had nurtured and sent them into seclusion.
Now 100 years later, Matthew, Bella and Ella Vista have returned to claim their rightful place as the heirs of the Vista legacy and restore their family’s good name.
ruthless_kk has some lovely Res builds here if anyone is interested, she built them for Monte Vista, maybe you can host them on this thread.Just scroll up and their is links for them as well with images if you want them in your game.
Okay everyone; The Lizzano second edition is now here!
Welcome to the beautiful Lizzano - a compact villa perfect for a small family, designed especially for Monte Vista. At current, the build is unfurnished, however, I will be releasing a fully furnished version over the coming weekend. Please also note, that this is my first real TS3 build, and so, there will probably bits that would be better had they been built by someone with more experience, but I have tried my best. This is the second edition; I have updated the exterior wall paints to match those in Monte Vista and added a small landscaped area which includes a small pond. Though this lot does require Monte Vista, it includes NO CUSTOM CONTENT. I hope you all enjoy my first build and release, The Lizzano!
If you have any constructive criticism it would be very much welcomed; anything which I can add to or improve upon for the third and final edition (fully furnished) would be very appreciated.

I'm not Anz but I'll give you a link to a nifty tutorial that I used.
I built a consignment shop for Monte Vista. Regalia Mercanto is placed at 19 Regalia Court. I tried very hard to keep my items to base game and Ambition items. I have used free store items and the following pay items: Pedro Estate Door II, Pedro Estate Window, The Royales Window, Athena's Olive Tree and Higher Tech Hot Beverage Machine. I also used the tree guard from Pets, but I am sure that won't be an issue if it doesn't show up. It is possible a pattern or two may not be base game. I can't always remember what EP/SP the patterns have come from. My upload says that World Adventures is needed, but I can't think of what item that might be. Perhaps the tile pattern I used for a small amount of facade?
This is the front of the building. You can see there is a partial daylight basement with windows that permit natural light in the architecture firm and inventor's workshop.
Here is the daylight basement with the walls down
Here is the main floor with the consignment shop and register. I had a clerk that showed up immediately. Unattractively dressed, I might add.
This is the artist studio and a partially covered balcony for your sim to relax in inclement weather.
Here is the back view of the building with the walls up.

Edit: Please keep the pictures coming.
And Jadeleine, your sim in your first post is gorgeous! Is she your creation or a townie?
It is normally in the 40x40 empty lot.
I moved the Moonlit Stroll Park to a 50x50 and placed this one across of the school. Fits better there.
AznSensei thanks for the community lots. i'm not a builder at all. so thanks for sharing
I hope you will get yours soon! The sim in my pictures is a premade sim in CAS that I have done some heavy tweaking and makeover .
About the lagging, I have not have that with Monte Vista. I usually have a little lag in every town when I play for a long time with same family.
