So I know I'm crazy to take on a fourth legacy, but I decided I just couldn't wait to get started with my new idea. I don't want to forget about it and I just had too many ideas for the founder. I even know his wife's and heir's names.
So, here's the first chapter of my new Legacy: Monday's Child: Arwyn Chapter One.
Of the new acquaintances, I would mention The True Story of the Villareal Family by MannyLikeSims and Seventeen & Maldusk by @GlacierSnow
I could name so many others. I have always successfully searched among those who write comments on the stories I read. Many of them are Simlit writers themselves.
Thanks for this rec @MonaSolstraale, I haven't enjoyed simlit this much in ages (I also haven't really read any simlit in ages) It's easy to catch up to and it makes me like the Villarreals a lot more than I did. I always thought the kids were pretty bleh.
@MonaSolstraale Thank you for the mention. I'm glad you are enjoying my story. And I second the enthusiasm for Almost Eternal and The True Story of the Villareal Family! For anyone who likes dark humor and drama these are top notch.
Another question! Do you have a save file just for playing, or do you mostly/entirely use the game for the purposes of SimLit?
Hi, Inky! Nice to see another neurodivergent Simmer here!
I have lots of "for fun" saves. Right now, I've got just one save for SimLit--it's a legacy, so when I need a break from keeping track of lots of Sims and their goals, I'll pop over to the for-fun save, where I usually just have my quiet little SimSelf living on a lot with a dog, a cat, so many plants in the garden, and lots of time to paint and write. I love tiny off-grid houses for for-fun play.
I have 4 saves I use for my sim-lit, one for testing, one I made just for Build-n-Share challenges, and one save I'm using to redesign all worlds to my liking. May turn into a legacy save some day, but it's' a slow process. I only go to that one when I'm not working on my legacy saves or my blog. Which usually means that day's simlit blog took long enough that I've decided there's no point in playing.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and recommendations. I am eager to read.
Thanks @CathyTea for the shout-out. I haven't exactly been promoting Love at the Top of My Lungs, but if anyone's interested in non-sims exploration of ADHD, you can join me there.
Also, a HUGE announcement for my own stories going forward. You can read more HERE in my thread. Let's just say I'm rebooting and revamping, restarting and rewriting certain stories of mine. And it's just easier if you read there so you understand. The story will be set within the Alliance of Magic Series (which now has its own blog - allianceofmagic.blog). For those brand new to my stories, they take place in the Daleth star system and mostly on the planet of Simterra, but there are plenty of other planets in the star system. Also, this universe is full of supernatural races, alien species, and fantastical elements, so if that's your cup of tea, join me.
Time to leave the detective and investigation side of Sim 66 for now...it's a return to the Teen Scene for the next chapter and Jamie is still stumbling around the teen social scene of the 1960s with very mixed results. Chapter 185: Zulu Strong
It's been a long time since I've been in this thread. I'm sure no one even remembers me
I used to write a few storied back in the day, mostly Disney related ha! I've stopped writing for a bit but that didn't mean some of these stories are over. There's a still a lot more story left. So if you enjoy legacies, if you enjoy family drama, if you enjoy Disney then my Disney Legacy: The Blancs is for you. I warn you there's already a lot of story but I promise you it's a fun read with twists around every corner! If you were reading my story then I'm so sorry it took me this long to get a new chapter. I hope you enjoy it
got three more chapters of Monday's Child: Arwyn up. The second one's kind of long, but it's mostly screenshots, don't worry! Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10
