@bebasim, Thank you. I like that the children came out as well. The mother is one of my better-looking sims from the game. I had added pictures earlier of the mother and father, Lisa and Jerome before the children were born. I forgot to add the children's names. They are Jacqueline and Aaron.
Hi @simtown15. Actually, the great-grandmother was a red head. Lisa was a clone of her mother except that her skin tone is darker and she has green eyes not blue.
@Mikezumi, thanks. Generation three is usually where I either give up or get bored. So far neither has happened but then I'm not getting to play but a few times a month, not every day so that might be why I'm not bored. I thought the son was a good blend of the parents too.
@Simtown15 I wasn't aware that could happen either. Like you, I've never played beyond generation three. There are several redheads in the family that are Jacqueline's cousins who were born to her mother's redheaded aunts and uncles. I'm going to try to start taking pictures of more of my sims. Especially in this save because the immediate family isn't large but there are a lot of cousins.
This is the great-grandmother from back when I first started the game. I don't have a picture of the other great-grandmother. She may have had red hair too. I thought she did.
Jason and Josh's son, Jaxon, just aged up to teen. At first I thought he was the same blend as his sister but I found they had different face shapes when I did a gender swap in CAS
I wanted to see how the Grisby passed their big ears and noses to their kids. Well, Dave (the teen) got the ears of his mother, Yvette Grisby. As for Mark (the toddler), he got the nose of his mother, Laurel Grisby. Cute!
I wonder where Dave got his black hair though... Both his parents had brown/reddish hair.
I want to play ALL the premade families! One day...
@Hejix The fact that Dave got the ears and Mark got the nose is a good sign - it shows that you didn't get any clones I've been following your updates in the other thread and Dave is quite the character
Although I like it when my sims' hair colours get passed down through the generations, the game has quite a high rate of random mutation where hair and eye colour are concerned. Because of this, I have never considered hair and eye colour part of the genetics. For me, it's all about the facial sliders.
@Hejix As I said I don't consider hair and eye colour part of the genetics. For me, clones are sims that have the same facial sliders. This is one of the reasons I won't allow zero slider sims (IFs and service sims are good examples) to marry into my families. If enough marry into the family over the generations you could potentially end up with all sims looking the same.
I recently played a save with Jared and Connor Frio. Jared married a sim I made, Alec, and Connor married Mortimer Goth. Jared and Alec had a daughter, Lara, and Connor and Morty had a son, Cort. I moved the whole household to my new save as town fillers. They have since had two more children. Here's a pic of the family when I was playing them.
Lara and Cort are now teens and are going out with my active household's teens Lara mostly looks like Alec but has Jared's mouth
Cort, the son of Mortimer Goth and Connor Frio, just aged up to YA and married Josie, the daughter of Jason and Josh in my active household Cort is mostly Connor but he has Morty's eyes
They look awesome @Mikezumi
i haven't been on here for a while and it's lovely to see how your families are going!! gorgeous as always! Certainly miss your updates, i need to get on here more, RL does take up a lot atm.
Thought i would share one of my families also that have aged up now to teens and a ya and I'm pleasantly surprised on how they look.

@Mikezumi, I like when a hair color shows up from a few generations back as well. The kids have both aged up well.

Liam and Michael look more like their father while Nathan is a blend of both parents. Michael and Nathan inherited their mother's hair color.
