I definitely want to find out more about the skill or trait this lightning absorber and reflector guy has!

Honestly it's not as fun if he doesn't die xD >:)>:)>:)>:)

But what if he could aim it at another sim and they would die? Then you will feel pretty silly with all of your sims that cannot shoot lightning from their hands. :D

mischief > shoot lightening at.... any sims nearby are an option

I hope they bring back composting from TS2; I missed it so much in the TS3! Also, I hope beekeeping will be as rad as it seems! Lots of possibilities with that, bees pollinating your garden, honey-based recipes, bee stings... I'm so excited! Gardening has been my fave thing to do across all the games and the trailer and news post focused on it so fingers crossed!!

I was just watching the Big Bang episode where Amy learns that Sheldon wants to woohoo with her, when the Seasons trailer came out. Who's happier now - Amy or me?

And just in time as well! I have an elderly couple in my library that I've always envisioned as florists running their own shop. I already built their home, but without flower arranging, I would have settled for selling individual flowers from their garden via yard sale. Now I'm going to wait for seasons so they can create and sell proper bouquets!

Speaking of which, do you think flower arranging will be a new individual skill? And what about bee-keeping and skating? (I can imagine skating becoming part of the fitness skill, but bee-keeping? Please don't make it another logic thing!)

"Gardening Career: Begin a blossoming gardening career and become a botanist or floral arranger"

    Yaaaay

I just hope it's either an active or semi-active career -- if a Sim has to spend all day at work, then come home and work on his/her garden that's not going to leave much time for other stuff.

It sounds more like Ambitions style professions/City Living jobs. Both seem to involve home and away actions:
    • Botany - Gardening skill, collect samples, analyse them, write up reports/discoveries on them, perhaps soliciting grants or creating new hybrids etc.
    • Floristry - Gardening skill, collect/grow flowers, solicit jobs/clients, create bouquets (maybe to customer specifications), deliveries etc.

Has anybody noticed in the description under Key Features, it says "From hot and sunny to blustery and snowy, every world’s climate is unique and impacts your Sims’ choices, relationships and daily activities. "

Emphasise on the "every world's climate is unique" does this indicate that each world will be a different season? Not all seasons in one world.

I think it'll be more like different weather extremes per season.

    So...

    OS - Hot/Dry Summer, Warm/Dry Autumn, Mild/Wet Winter, Warm/Dry Spring

    VS

    WB - Warm/Humid Summer, Mild/Wet Autumn, Cold/Snowy Winter, Mild/Wet Spring

Okay, so I've been getting more and more excited about gift-giving because there are so many hilarious, thoughtful or heartwarming gifts the sims can give to each other! Based on the assumption that gift-giving operates like TS3, anything that goes in the inventory can be gifted - think of the possibilities

    - With Cats & Dogs they can give poop as gifts I mean come on that's hilarious

    - Giving completely random things like the magic eight ball and the claything. You can potentially infect the game with the claything, and then all around the world everyone will randomly stand and fiddle with it hah

    - And awwww, children using the drawing table and giving the cute, ugly pictures to their parents or giving a guitar to a music-loving sim that can't afford it

    - Cheap-skates getting gifts and saving them till next year to re-gift them!

    - Clumpsy sims giving the bad quality sculptures made on the woodworking table and being really proud of them "Look I made a thing!"

I don't think the gift-giving aspect goes so deep in the game, but would it not be awesome if for example snobs and materialistic sims would only be pleased with expensive gifts? And then they would hate home-made gifts lol

Anyway, this is soo gonna be a thing in my game that reflects the personality of my sims, some will spend a lot of time to plan thoughtful gifts, and then some will just wing it haha.

    Edit: Weird spelling hello

There's no new world with Seasons, so not a premade in game.

The Sims Team usually uploads trailer sims to the gallery under the EA ID MaxisCreator_01 though.

Calendar and Holiday Celebrations: Mark your calendar for traditional holidays and create your own! Gather friends and family to celebrate holidays complete with traditions, gifts, and special guests.

I'd bet money this reuses the clubs system to customize holidays with various Sim behaviors.

And what a good way to utilize it, Clubs were never a big thing for me though and I'm not sure how good custom holidays will be.

I'm of the opinion that there's no need to reinvent the wheel every pack -- if you've got a system that you can tweak to use for a different function, that frees up resources that can be used for additional content.

For my gameplay the club system might be one of the best features in the entire Sims history. It makes it easy to gather friends for events or just a night out. In one of my saves I have a brother-sister pair who both have their own families; they and their spouses are in the Sibling Revelry club and I'll send them out to dinner or to the pub to play games or down to the nightclub or bowling alley on a weekend. Their kids are all in a club, Cousins & Such, so they can meet up to play at the park or just in one of the family backyards. (Excited about adding the swings to the parks.)

This is actually the best way I've heard to use clubs, and have been considering it seen as I'm on a family play right now... this would be amazing to utilise that. I was debating between clubs and city living but I think you just sold me on clubs (at least before city living) > but with seasons... I need to time this right or my wallet might cry

I also notice that once again all swimsuits are mom-swimsuits from the 1950s. There is not a single sexy bikini or swimsuit in the game (for women. Men get a banana hammock for some reason).

Um, there are. I hope you don’t expect Sims to have French cuts because that is not their style.

No there aren't. Swimsuits do not become "sexy" just because they're swimsuits.
Edit: It gets even more confusing since we have three sets of lingerie for women that are seriously meant to look sexy (the actual corset panties set, the sheer see-through lace panties and bra, and bra and panties set with the heart shaped front. All three of these are downright raunchy compared to the swimwear.

I have no idea what "french cut" is, and after googling it I am even more confused since 99% of the pictures showing "french cut swimsuit" basically shows the ones we have in the game or maybe cut about half an inch higher. And then the last 1% basically shows pornstar style swimsuits...

Admittedly that 1% is actually closer to what I want. Now this might be because of age; I was born in 1972, which means I grew up in the 80s and 90s... but to me, any swimsuit cut so that it covers the hip bone is grandma swimsuits, because only women over 55 were using those when I grew up.

This was about the normal cut on bikinis and swimsuit that all females between 13 and 53 were wearing (no strings or thongs, but higher cut). Now it's not a dealbreaker or anything, and i guess I can download CC (though I have never downloaded any kind of CC for this game except MCCC, becuase CC forced me to reinstall and / or throw away saves both in Sims 2 and 3).

Maybe what's sexy to you is not sexy to others and viceversa. I personally think that the new swimsuit showed in the trailer can be super sexy and flattering.
And I think for what I assume you mean when you say "sexy", there are a couple already in game.
I'm on my phone at the moment but as soon as I get to work I'll post pictures of the ones I mean.

Edit to add the ones I mean:

I don't consider them sexy, Now I don't know what the intent is, but the way they work on the models definitely screams "Frumpy" to me.
I know this is the style these days, but to me they are "vintage" or "grandma". It's the kind of swimsuits movie stars in the 40s would wear. (Not counting the Bikini obviously which is a much more resent invention)

I definitely came off super whiny about the snow being flat so I tried to sprinkle some other stuff in different tweets... Is that bad? LOL. I just feel like I haven't been as immersed into the game as I was with TS2 and TS3 so I'm desperately waiting for quality weather.
