Sorry it took forever for me to share these with you. I had to save my uni lot to the bin and place it in Sunset Valley so I could move a sim in to test it. Then, of course, even though I have cookies and history set to delete on exit and run ccleaner, I could NOT log in to my launcher. So, I had to research some and then open the safety tab of Internet Explorer to uncheck that first box and check the next two to really clear the caches. Oh my!
Any way, the lot I built for uni, I placed just across the street from the uni center so it'll be centrally located, close to classes and parties and places to hang out. It's here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9159098 (pics in the upload). I called it Micro Magic. It's larger than the 16-tiles because I added a full bath instead of an all-in-one.
Then, I built another in Sunset Valley while I was at it in a 10x10 lot I placed next to the beach on the road to the Wolff mansion.
It's here: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9159097 (Again, pics are in the upload.)
It's actually 17 tiles because of those two half-tiles, but I really like this one!
@ciane, Micro Magic is adorable. I love the way you put the clothes rack under the bed, it looks so natural there. And the bathroom looks so spacious even though we know how small it really is.
Sunny Micro Starter, what can I say, great use of those windows and the wood and white color scheme makes it light and bright
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ @Jude525 Thanks so much for your wonderful comments! I'm so glad you liked the itty bitty things. I have included the download links below
@Jude525 I don't think anyone minds the rambling I'm quite flattered myself. Thank you!
Way back when I was first building I went through a tiny-house phase and built on many 10x10 lots. I dumped them on the exchange... possibly before fully grasping the importance of play-testing... maybe... But here they are in all their tiny little glories!
So then . . . I've been working on a little something, which isn't as little as it probably should be but does have lots of green space on a 10x10. I'm working on growing the garden and will put up some pictures once the garden has more than mounds of dirt to show.
I'm really enjoying everything you all have made, all the different themes.
Woot! @suzses - I know it'll be awesome! And it doesn't have to be teeny tiny. The real challenge is seeing how much you can leave out and not miss, and still enjoy something unique that plays well for your sim.
Sorry I've been MIA. Miserable cold. Upper and lower respiratory. Eyes are blurry, so haven't even been online until today, and that mostly to keep from drowning in email later. So, gonna be a bit longer before I get on board.
I haven't even read all today's posts, but @ciane. your beach house from Sunset Valley did catch my eye. I never realized that an exterior could look light and airy, other than with a bunch of windows. I really like it.
Sorry to hear about your cold @Jude525. I do hope you feel better soon. Get your rest and those liquids too! And thank you so much for your sweet comment!
Here is my Mocha Micro, as threatened, err promised. Seems everything I used to use to edit pictures, make collages, etc., etc., has turned to pay site or become unavailable, so these "are what they are," which at best probably means in need of a good cropping.
I got in my game last night and went to place a 15x15 lot, then I realized you meant 15 squares on a 10x10 lot! After I had a brain dead moment, I started a small house and so far have 40 squares. 40 out of 100. Not too bad !!!!
@suzses I love Mocha Micro! You've layered the levels so well, the colour scheme is so smooth and modern and the décor/finishing touches are just icing on the mocha flavoured cake
@creativemetaphor Great names! Leonardo di Vista and Pueblo Picasso are my favourites The houses are also great too
I have one more. It was sort of a request @Rockleyfamily snuck in a wiped out my wishlist and in one of the messages she put "Vampire themed tiny house?? Maybe..." so ......
Please note - There is a known issue with newspapers. If they are placed at any angle other than straight across the front they cannot be picked up thereby causing hissy fits. I simply cancel the newspapers so I don't have to worry about it.
What an awesome little vamp place @Kgaff. I love all those roof pieces on it! Love the windows and the fencing you chose. Perfect layout! It's just a delightful build.
@suzses - I knew I'd love your build. It's soft coloring and roomy layout are terrific. Such a peaceful, well-balanced lot! The decor is perfect as is the landscaping. Awesome job!
Ah, @snowdove58, you made me laugh. A little 15x15 lot would have been fun too.
Love all the fantastic tiny houses in this thread.
I haven't gotten a chance to try this yet but plan to some time in the near future. I've been busy with getting work done on my house and then dealing with a kidney stone(s).
My idea is to build a 6X8 starter studio on a 10X10 lot that will become a detached garage on a larger lot when the household gets more money. I may keep the costs down so that it can be placed on a bigger lot from the beginning.
@kgaff OH WOW! That is beautiful!!! Such a clever use of those roof pieces, I would have thought them too large for a tiny house but they work perfectly!
I decided to do a new style today - a house that doesn't actually contain a house!
Roam Sweet Roam
A plushly furnished canopy, now quite overgrown with vines. Hangings and tapestries form some 'walls', while a variety of items are situated in and around. Includes two sleeping bags, all-in-one, and an easel, chess table, bookcase, telescope, and training dummy for skills
Play tested this one pretty well, but game crashed before I could get a clean upload copy ready. Will upload this one when I get a chance, and will post more pics in my thread
@Kgaff the vampire house is so cute, good job with it. Glad you liked the items
Lovin this thread with all the tiny houses I've left recs with them all. I'll bookmark this thread, not sure when I'll get in game to try out my own but I deffo wana keep up with this thread. They're just so cute!!
Yesterday's was shades of grey: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9159374
It only had room for three pics in the upload.
Today's was Wholy Micro: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9159375
The day had just turned to evening as I finished play testing the first house, so these pics are darker.
I think I'm done for awhile, but I do hope to see some more of yours.
