Your WIP for the challenge looks very nice! @crysk The layout of the build looks great! Very nice water fountains feature in the central courtyard area! The buildings look great. It is nice that there is outdoors dining at the red umbrella covered tables for eating food and having drinks from the cafe. The rooftop playground for the kids looks great! The trees look nice placed along the edges of the courtyard.
It is looking great!
A few more screenshots as I continue to work on Pemberly.
Entrance arch
Formal garden
Like any good English country gentleman, Mr. Darcy is a naturalist, so I have built him a laboratory for research and to keep his collections. I will have to do some play testing to make sure that the observatory on top of the building is accessible.
Pemberly is continuing to look very nice! @StSciurus The entrance arch looks very stately! It looks very nice how you have done the pathway from the gate to the entrance area. The formal garden looks so very , very pretty! The floral design of it looks so very nice! The hedging and fencing on the edges gives a nice look. It is great that there is a laboratory in the build. The observatory looks great on the roof of the building! Very nice exterior design of the laboratory building! The domed roofing areas look very nice.
The outdoors areas are looking great!
Thanks to the experience I earned from finishing the Peace & Relaxation Canyon build, I thought I try to further improve my skills in using basements and outdoor designing. Soooo uhhh I made this... lol I am not too sure where the idea first came from but I just thought I try to focus more on design and art instead of the architecture or convenience. Even I don't know where this build might towards to the end, so some things might change over time, only the concept and idea is going to be the same~
It's a insect/alien/robot creature that just chilling in the nice water~ it just happens that inside the thing is a home where Sims can live in
Your WIP is looking very creatively nice! @Heaveness The design, shape and layout of the water passageways looks so very, very great! Very nice design of the exterior of the home building! The curved roofing looks very nice! I will look forward to seeing updates of your build!
Pemberly WIP update: I decided to add some climbing plants to the entrance arch, and a "folly" (over to the left) using some of the Romantic Garden stuff (finally!) as well as a fishing hole.
And I created a work area (next to the garage) and a garden and for the groundskeeper.
The outdoors areas are continuing to look very nice! @StSciurus The climbing flowers look very pretty on the entrance arch! It is nice that you have designed the build to have a folly in the outdoors. The greenery looks nice on the structure. Sims will have fun fishing in the pond. The design of the garage and workbench area looks great! It is nice that there is an open garage with enlarged cars inside it and it gives a great look to the area by having the tools and woodcraft bench on/beside the outer side wall. Sims will enjoy doing woodworking on the table there. Very nice gardening nook! It looks great how the gardening boxes are placed there, for sims to enjoy growing and harvesting plants. The greenery and flowers on the exterior walls looks very nice there.
The build is looking great!
@StSciurus Your build is coming along really nicely and your eye for design is shining in this game. Your house looks very realistic as everything has purpose in its placement and is carefully thought out. I really like your gardens' color combinations that you used and how you bordered it. I think it would be so neat if you could make it bigger even. Great job so far!
I think it would be so neat if you could make it bigger even.
Thank you, @Brendy927 ! I am planning to put some more informal gardens throughout the lot, but I've started with the major structures and will let those indicate where the rest of the landscaping should be.
So this will probably be my last WIP posting for Pemberly. Since the original layout of the real house didn't include a ballroom, and I thought the house needed one I created a dance pavilion instead, which creates kind of a courtyard with the main house and the laboratory. Inside the pavilion is a dance floor on one side and on the other side, a bar and tables. There are restroom facilities in the center.
There is still a lot left to do, but it is almost all landscaping.
The layout of Pemberley looks very nice! @StSciurus It is great that there is a dance pavilion in the build! The exterior design of the pavilion looks very nice! Very nice curved roofing! The type and placement of the windows in the build looks nice. Nice windows alcove dance nook for sims to have fun dancing to the music from the DJ booth on the dance floor there. Sims will enjoy sitting at the table in the dance pavilion having a drink from the bar, and warming near the fire. The type of seating at the table looks nice.
I hope that your continued work on the build goes very well
Wow pemberly looks lovely! You're doing a great job with the arch and folly and the furnishing looks great. I've been building two houses,
Casa Agridulce (named by StScurius)
And as yet un-named
This is to be dropped in Windenberg when I get the expansion so there'll be no landscaping until I place it on the new lot. I'm actually further along on Casa Agridulce but no screenies, it's more or less furnished and there's an outbuilding, bulk of the landscaping left to do.
@StSciurus It's great to hear that you'll be adding more gardens. Will you be making the Darcy's to put in the gallery for this? This house is a great idea by the way. It looks like it will be fun to play.
@jeepjeepcat Casa Agridulce is looking like a nice build. I like how both your houses have a sort of grand looking entrance. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next with them:)
@Soraya4sims Your houses look very neat. I like how you picked which lots you would use for each house. Especially the last one overlooking the cliff. The full wall windows on the cliff side are going to give the sims a fantastic view! Very nicely done on all them
My next WIP is another historic house. I'm trying to build the Gamble House in game as it has very pretty gardens that I'm going to try to emulate. It was built in the early 1900's as a winter retreat for the Gamble family and is very much a craftsmen house and made entirely of wood. It's very pretty in real life.
Here's what I have so far. I tried to make the layout the same as what I saw in blueprints but I've abandoned that idea as the lot (50X40) might not have been the best choice and I'm going to furnish it somewhat like a modern house but with old looking floors and walls. For the garden I'm going to be doing some changes as well and maybe change the decks a bit and add lots of green flora everywhere to make it look overgrown.
The exterior designs and layout of both Casa Agridulce and the second WIP looks very nice! @jeepjeepcat The Tudor style of the second home looks very nice! Very nice roofing on the homesl It is very nice that you will soon have Get Together EP. You will enjoy using the items from that pack in your builds.
Your three homes are very nice! @Soraya4sims Very nice design of the exteriors of them! It is nice that each are a different style and type of home, so would suit different sims household. The red and white colour scheme of the starter home gives a very nice look to the home! The roofing on each of the homes looks very great! Very nice backyard corner pool nook and outdoors dining patio area in the first build. The entrance area in the second home looks very nice! The greenery and plants over and on the sides of the porchway, and on the walls gives a very nice look to the entry area. The flowers look along the front of the home looks very pretty!
Your WIP is looking very nice! @Brendy927 It reflects the inspiration home so very well! The porch and balconies look great! The corner nook area with the lilypad water pond , rocks and candle looks very pretty!
I will look forward to seeing updates of your build
Your three houses are all nicely designed, @Soraya4sims ! I especially like the Japanese prefecture inspired house.
And @Brendy927 , you're doing a great job on recreating the beautiful house in the photograph. Wow! What an ambitious project! I agree with @rosemow . The corner nook with the lilypad water pond is charming. [And I have created the Darcy family—although I need to edit them a bit. They are waiting impatiently for me to finish Pemberly, so that they can move it. ]
