@ZeeGee - I haven't played the game on my Windows 7 computer for so long but I don't recall much difference between the graphics playing on my two computers. Both are i7s with good graphic cards, well good for the time when I purchased the PCs.
Trying to capture a good screen shot of Dina and Nina was not easy for me using the in-game camera. I also relied on the game for their poses. I can really appreciate your story creation skills even more now. Nina is a Townie. I have used CC on Dina for her eyes and hair. (I still don't use much CC in Sims 3, but I have embraced it in Sims 4)

@SimLibby - I am now retired but my job was to provide statistics and information to people within my office as well as the public. I guess it is my nature to provide information to others. I do have a tendency to give more than a person may want.
I do find it a bit frustrated there are still sets not part of CYS. It has been years: none of those sets are new by now. I also find it a bit disappointing some (premium) material is still not available as stand-alone item but as part of a set. I also find it unsettling EA can decide to close the store. Many players have spent so much money on the store. How can it ever be considered or be an option: closing the store.
Btw, do you know how often Origin has Simpoints on sale? I have been lurking Orin for such sales. And the best I found was a couple of weeks ago (22% off). But other than that, no SimPoint deals.
Your thoughts are shared by all of us here. In preparation for the time the store will close, I have downloaded and backed up all my store purchases. Simpoints rarely go on sale. There was a 50% off sale in June 2019. I think that sale was to celebrate the sims anniversary.
...I began a selective install of store items. I was playing the Now version of the Manor and wondered why the EA designers had installed so many "fish on a plaque" high up on the walls. It wasn't until I viewed the Manor using another one of my EA folders that included all my store content that I realized those fish were replacing spider webs missing from my install.
You had the lot already installed so you didn't notice the yellow acclimation point in the launcher saying some items will be replaced because you don't have all items installed?
It's a shame we cannot always have all we want/own installed. I have several EP's en SP's not installed.

Depending on the latest pack you have installed, you use one of below mentioned files to start the game. You can only bypass the launcher up to version 1.67. It doesn't work anymore if the game is patched till 1.69. In the installation directory\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\skuversion.txt you will find the version number. This file can be opened with notepad.

@LMC6255 - In addition to rnramey's daily posts, you can also use the spreadsheet for both daily and long term planning. The "Current Rotation" tab lists the time and date of the deals from now until May 7, 2020. The "Sort by Item/Set" tab groups all the times and dates for a particular item. You can then plan not only the time and date for a particular item but you can see when the best deal is offered.
@SimLibby - I am grateful that you "unlurked" and commented on how our DD thread has been helpful for you. Yesterday I used "Make me an Offer" and because of some glitch I got the same offer twice when I purchased it, and I got charged twice the amount of Sim Points.. When I contaceted Customer Service they were unable to help me, lucky for me it was only 182 Sim points that I lost.. I am posting this so that if anyone else wants to use "Make me an Offer" to be careful to check your purchase history if you think the first purchase didn't go through before hitting the purchase button again because that is what happened to me.. I wouldn't want someone else that is trying to get more milage for their Sim points to have this happen to them, that is why I am posting this..
If any of you have any solutions for me.. I would appreciate the feed back.. Thank you for your time, I hope this is helpful!!

Long time ago i had a "problem".
One store would didn't show up as "Buyed". The support fixed it. One world which i didn't own was accidently for free π And the other world still shows up as not buyed. But i can still install it and play it π
So, i think there's nothing u could do, i never had any problems with "MMAO" π Sorry...
@LMC6255 - You may want to call Customer Service again. I know that other people have not had an issue solved by the first representative but were successful after another try.
Before I make purchases, I would always take a screen shot showing my points balance prior to the purchase and after making sure to include the date and time showing on your computer. Then you have more evidence showing you were charged twice.

@goodFeel93 I am so sorry that happened to you, the store glitches frustrate me! Worlds are expensive to.. I never had trouble with MMAO before so I was very surprised.. I guess I will just contact Customer Service one more time and hopefully this time it works out..

That is good advice. Also when gifting because that goes problematic.
I'm going to play devils advocate for a moment @LMC6255, isn't is more handy to email them rather than calling. It's a payed number, right? So when calling it's going to cost you more to let it correct than the actual loss, right? Hope the point I'am trying to make makes sense to you. But om the other hand, I pay a fixed monthly amount for television and internet. If I use it 5 minutes a month or 50 hours, that doesn't matter. It's my understanding not all countries work like that, which could mean you pay every time you use the internet. In that case, never mind, you probably can add less to my point. (edit: or the point stays valid and maybe let it go, there is the devils advocate).

Trying to capture a good screen shot of Dina and Nina was not easy for me using the in-game camera. I also relied on the game for their poses. I can really appreciate your story creation skills even more now. Nina is a Townie. I have used CC on Dina for her eyes and hair. (I still don't use much CC in Sims 3, but I have embraced it in Sims 4)

@SimLibby - I am now retired but my job was to provide statistics and information to people within my office as well as the public. I guess it is my nature to provide information to others. I do have a tendency to give more than a person may want.
Your thoughts are shared by all of us here. In preparation for the time the store will close, I have downloaded and backed up all my store purchases. Simpoints rarely go on sale. There was a 50% off sale in June 2019. I think that sale was to celebrate the sims anniversary.
I bypass the launcher to start my game. I can play with all the store content, EPs and SPs installed, even IP. But I never play without NRaas mods. I am also very thankful NRaas is still in business and that dedicated people took over from Twallan.

Popping in to ask...How do you bypass the launcher? I feel like I should know how to do this, but I don't. All these years, and I didn't get this memo. Either that or I knew once upon a time and forgot? I'm not sure which is worse: ignorance or forgetfulness.

This is an pretty innocent topic to be ignorant about, right.
Depending on the latest pack you have installed, you use one of below mentioned files to start the game. You can only bypass the launcher up to version 1.67. It doesn't work anymore if the game is patched till 1.69. In the installation directory\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\skuversion.txt you will find the version number. This file can be opened with notepad.
You will find this file in the folder where you have the EP/SP Installed in the game/bin folder (so NOT in my document). Default this is the location (also an example): C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Worldadventures\Game\Bin. You can make a shortcut (right click on it) of that file and put it somewhere easy accessible.
The only way to go back to version 1.67 is to uninstall TS3 and any additional packs and install it again. After installation of the base game, you manually patch to 1.67 (do not open the launcher otherwise the launcher wants to update to version 1.69). After the game is updated to version 1.67, you install the rest of the packs in order of release. If you work with CAW, there are two versions available on the TS3 forum: one version is compatible with TS3 1.67 and one version is compatible with version 1.69 Make sure you get the good version.

I appreciate your help tremendously, I been have using the tracker since the Summer and thanks to the Daily Deal Tracker and rnramey's daily updates, I have been able to plan my buys month by month with great success!!

@Greylady624 Just to add to SimLibby's excellent info, you have to have a pre-2012 base game disc to stay on 1.67, the one with all the diamonds on the cover. The newer ones will force you to patch to 1.69.

@goodFeel93 I am so sorry that happened to you, the store glitches frustrate me! Worlds are expensive to.. I never had trouble with MMAO before so I was very surprised.. I guess I will just contact Customer Service one more time and hopefully this time it works out..
I'm going to play devils advocate for a moment @LMC6255, isn't is more handy to email them rather than calling. It's a payed number, right? So when calling it's going to cost you more to let it correct than the actual loss, right? Hope the point I'am trying to make makes sense to you. But om the other hand, I pay a fixed monthly amount for television and internet. If I use it 5 minutes a month or 50 hours, that doesn't matter. It's my understanding not all countries work like that, which could mean you pay every time you use the internet. In that case, never mind, you probably can add less to my point.
