I have been lurking the TS3 store for days now in pursuit of some nice deals. But I would like some specific items and for days now, they didn't came along so I decided to Google to see if there is some information out there regarding the store. So here I am. I have been reading this topic and some referral links and now I not only have an ETA of the items I would like (and the best deal for them ), I'm also informed about the content patch. I prefer to stay on 1.67 (PC) since I do not want to have Origin or the Launcher run when I play. Every now and then I re-install TS3 or refresh my TS3 folder in my documents. And I never considered the content patch, I completely forgot. Me stumbling on this topic (bookmarked btw) comes at the right time since I just re-installed TS3 and re-installed my store content.
Anyway, what I wanted to say is: thank you very much. Everybody who has contributed to this subject in any way, thank you all. I appreciate it. It's good to see there are still many players so invested in TS3. Take care.

Yes I did get the item, thanks to your daily post I realized I had timed it wrong! The item was pump me which made the Fanciful Fashions and Haircut set cheaper, so I purchased that set with the CYS right after, I got pump me. I appreciate any help given to save on Sim points.. Hopefully soon I will own everything I have set out to get!

@LMC6255 - In addition to rnramey's daily posts, you can also use the spreadsheet for both daily and long term planning. The "Current Rotation" tab lists the time and date of the deals from now until May 7, 2020. The "Sort by Item/Set" tab groups all the times and dates for a particular item. You can then plan not only the time and date for a particular item but you can see when the best deal is offered.

No I haven't checked out that link yet. I just now glanced at it. I manually went through all my store items to remove duplicates. It took me a day, and saved me something like 100 store items I didn't need to install, and yet I'm sure I overlooked items and still have duplicates. Thank you for pointing me to that thread: I will surely take a closer look at it.

This is so cool. Glad you like it. You're very welcome. When it comes to TS4 the information may not be updated anymore, but when it comes to TS3, CAW and the Sims Medieval and Pirates and Nobles it does because those games don't evolve anymore. I even use my sites every now and then.

@ZeeGee - Oh no!!! If you can't sort out the graphics issue, does this mean you will not be producing anymore episodes from your stories? My current game is set in Sunset Valley. Cornelia, Gunther and Agnes keep showing up at the various town sites which leads me to think about your series featuring them. Then I see Claire Ursine and think I should give her a makeover like you had done. In one of my Sims 4 saves, (OMG, I do now own the base game, a couple EPs and 1 GP) Dina Caliente married my Sim which makes me wonder how her story will unfold in The Sequel. Well, no pressure. Enjoy all the store content you have been neglecting. I am working on my final achievement badge so now I can also focus on using more store content in my game. I also plan on tackling tutorials I have been saving for ages such as removing the EA stencils from objects. Now, I will also be trying out techniques I will learn from SimLibby's guides to CAW. Still so much life let in Sims 3 for me.
I recently replaced my Windows 7 computer with a desktop with Windows 10 OS. However, I am keeping my Windows 7 CPU in case Windows 10 screws my Sims 3 game as it has yours. I play with 1.67 and DVD installs so reinstalling through Origin is not in my plans. I have other reasons for wanting to keep a Windows 7 computer.

Thanks for posting your DD stalking plans. While you have listed venues, I was wondering if you plan to purchase sets and are familiar with the Complete Your Set discount (CYS). The introduction of CYS changed DD Stalking from simply purchasing nice store content to a completist game. Edit: completionist game
I love playing with the Now & Then Century Manor especially the Now version and trying to fix it up. For the longest time, I have been focusing my gameplay on earning achievement badges. To help my game load faster, I used an EA folder install that did not include store content. Over time, I began missing certain worlds, sets and items. As a result, I began a selective install of store items. I was playing the Now version of the Manor and wondered why the EA designers had installed so many "fish on a plaque" high up on the walls. It wasn't until I viewed the Manor using another one of my EA folders that included all my store content that I realized those fish were replacing spider webs missing from my install.
Since you plan on purchasing the Bakery, I am quoting from an earlier post by Jude525. The post he refers to in his build thread contains valuable and clearly explained tips on how a sim can run a bakery and using the mod One More Slot Please.
@Keiomestre Welcome! And you are certainly not the only person to buy that venue just for its content. I find it overly large. Sims just get lost in there. You'll notice that the bakery, and any lot created with the content, fails to produce new goods for purchase. If you are not against mods, there is one that fixes that here. It is the Cupcake mod over at Nraas. It will make sure the displays stay stocked for your Sims to go shopping.
On the other hand, if you want to run a bakery yourself, there is the issue of getting your own Sim to get their baked goods into the displays. I have a short tutorial on that in my build thread. Here is a link for that.

@Me1620 I'm really frustrated right now but I'm going to try again. I'll have to film differently and maybe learn to use some of the correction tools in my editor to fix the sims faces. But I am determined to finish this story, though it may be shorter than I had planned. I'll just get to the main points. I do hope that someday Windows will fix whatever it is they broke. The Sims 3 is beautiful and they ruined it. How does it look on your Windows 7 versus your Windows 10 computer? Anyway! I didn't know you'd gone over to....THE DARK SIDE!! Lol. How about posting a pic of Dina? I'd love to see how she looks in Sims 4. I only have the base game. Don't know if she's in that or a different pack.

Yes I am familiar with it. I have been lurking for the sets I posted earlier but I'm also paying attention for sets I already partially own because (as you know) sometimes the green button becomes available due to the sale/deal and I get the remaining items for free. I got plenty of sets because of this. I do find it a bit frustrated there are still sets not part of CYS. It has been years: none of those sets are new by now. I also find it a bit disappointing some (premium) material is still not available as stand-alone item but as part of a set. I also find it unsettling EA can decide to close the store. Many players have spent so much money on the store. How can it ever be considered or be an option: closing the store.
Btw, do you know how often Origin has Simpoints on sale? I have been lurking Orin for such sales. And the best I found was a couple of weeks ago (22% off). But other than that, no SimPoint deals.

I love those stairs and can't wait to own that set. I do like the anticipation of waiting till some nice deal comes along. And even though technically we often never save money in the store (because we spent money we maybe never intended to spent in the first place), it does feel like buying good deals and saving money. I have the serenity treat for just 513 and Grandpa's Grove for only 475. I'm very glad with those deals
I read earlier you are playing the achievements. That sounds like fun, I think I'm going to do the same. I love playing the achievements in The Sims Medieval. After I had earned them all (and unlocked extra content), I kept certain files so the extra content stayed unlocked. But, to my own surprise, I noticed playing the game is less interesting if all achievements are already earned. So I removed those files because I like playing the achievements so much.

Fish, spiders. Sure, why not. You had the lot already installed so you didn't notice the yellow acclimation point in the launcher saying some items will be replaced because you don't have all items installed?
I have made a small world in CAW with nothing in it but some roads and a few lots in different sizes. When I only want to build, I play that world because it loads faster. It can also be used when I only want to play around in CAS. It's to bad that every time I remove my temp files, the store items I have installed need to load up again (which takes a while).
It's a shame we cannot always have all we want/own installed. I have several EP's en SP's not installed. I bought IP the other day (in the store it was the last one on dvd, so yeah) which has a lot of lag in it. Ellacharmed world fixes didn't help, playing with no store items didn't help. I have found two topics (here and here in case anybody is interested) with possible solutions to reduce the lag so I'm going to try that. After I have sorted out my store items again (but this time I got some help to reduce duplicates even more). Anyway, I always have WA installed (love that EP), Late night and Ambitions. And now Island Paradise. For SP's I only have Fast Lane Stuff installed because it has a trait and some cool items. Maybe I need to move to Sunset Vally, after all I can have a houseboat over there as well (and I bought IP mainly because of the houseboats) and vacation in IP (got some NRaas mods).

I have the Bakery. I'm very glad with it. I have heard of that mod One more slot. Will have a closer look. Also at the Cupcake NRaas mod. Maybe I rebuild the lot on a smaller lot. Sometimes I do that (although, I haven't started my game yet with the Bakery so I don't know how big that lot is). One good thing about TS3 not being updated anymore is I'm more comfortable with using mods because they don't have to be updated anymore after every TS3 update. Or maybe they do but less. I do still check for mod updates but it was not necessary to update the mods I have now by a long time. I'm very thankful NRaas is still in business.

Anyway, what I wanted to say is: thank you very much. Everybody who has contributed to this subject in any way, thank you all.
Yes I did get the item, thanks to your daily post I realized I had timed it wrong! The item was pump me which made the Fanciful Fashions and Haircut set cheaper, so I purchased that set with the CYS right after, I got pump me. I appreciate any help given to save on Sim points.. Hopefully soon I will own everything I have set out to get!
Thank you for the advice @goodFeel93 I only have a few items to go.. I might consider putting maybe some cheaper items on the wish list.. I was very happy and grateful to rnramey posting the DD daily I didn't miss out on that deal..
@LMC6255 - In addition to rnramey's daily posts, you can also use the spreadsheet for both daily and long term planning. The "Current Rotation" tab lists the time and date of the deals from now until May 7, 2020. The "Sort by Item/Set" tab groups all the times and dates for a particular item. You can then plan not only the time and date for a particular item but you can see when the best deal is offered.
@SimLibby - I am grateful that you "unlurked" and commented on how our DD thread has been helpful for you. This thread, and its predecessor threads, have been created by a collaborative effort of many people over the years. You mentioned that you followed some of the referral links in the thread. Since you noted that you have re-installed your store items, I hope that you viewed Ciane's thread How to Install Store Items.

No I haven't checked out that link yet. I just now glanced at it. I manually went through all my store items to remove duplicates. It took me a day, and saved me something like 100 store items I didn't need to install, and yet I'm sure I overlooked items and still have duplicates. Thank you for pointing me to that thread: I will surely take a closer look at it.
This is so cool. Glad you like it. You're very welcome. When it comes to TS4 the information may not be updated anymore, but when it comes to TS3, CAW and the Sims Medieval and Pirates and Nobles it does because those games don't evolve anymore. I even use my sites every now and then.

@ZeeGee - Oh no!!! If you can't sort out the graphics issue, does this mean you will not be producing anymore episodes from your stories? My current game is set in Sunset Valley. Cornelia, Gunther and Agnes keep showing up at the various town sites which leads me to think about your series featuring them. Then I see Claire Ursine and think I should give her a makeover like you had done. In one of my Sims 4 saves, (OMG, I do now own the base game, a couple EPs and 1 GP) Dina Caliente married my Sim which makes me wonder how her story will unfold in The Sequel. Well, no pressure.
I recently replaced my Windows 7 computer with a desktop with Windows 10 OS. However, I am keeping my Windows 7 CPU in case Windows 10 screws my Sims 3 game as it has yours. I play with 1.67 and DVD installs so reinstalling through Origin is not in my plans. I have other reasons for wanting to keep a Windows 7 computer.

Thanks for posting your DD stalking plans. While you have listed venues, I was wondering if you plan to purchase sets and are familiar with the Complete Your Set discount (CYS). The introduction of CYS changed DD Stalking from simply purchasing nice store content to a completist game. Edit: completionist game
I love playing with the Now & Then Century Manor especially the Now version and trying to fix it up. For the longest time, I have been focusing my gameplay on earning achievement badges. To help my game load faster, I used an EA folder install that did not include store content. Over time, I began missing certain worlds, sets and items. As a result, I began a selective install of store items. I was playing the Now version of the Manor and wondered why the EA designers had installed so many "fish on a plaque" high up on the walls. It wasn't until I viewed the Manor using another one of my EA folders that included all my store content that I realized those fish were replacing spider webs missing from my install.
Since you plan on purchasing the Bakery, I am quoting from an earlier post by Jude525. The post he refers to in his build thread contains valuable and clearly explained tips on how a sim can run a bakery and using the mod One More Slot Please.

There is so much information gathered within this topic so I'm going to need some time to read and digest it all. Thank you for linking those video tutorials. I have read Ciane's topic but I'm going to need to read it a couple of times to make sure I all get it so that video tutorial will surely come in handy.
Yes I am familiar with it. I have been lurking for the sets I posted earlier but I'm also paying attention for sets I already partially own because (as you know) sometimes the green button becomes available due to the sale/deal and I get the remaining items for free. I got plenty of sets because of this. I do find it a bit frustrated there are still sets not part of CYS. It has been years: none of those sets are new by now. I also find it a bit disappointing some (premium) material is still not available as stand-alone item but as part of a set. I also find it unsettling EA can decide to close the store. Many players have spent so much money on the store. How can it ever be considered or be an option: closing the store.
Btw, do you know how often Origin has Simpoints on sale? I have been lurking Orin for such sales. And the best I found was a couple of weeks ago (22% off). But other than that, no SimPoint deals.
I love those stairs and can't wait to own that set. I do like the anticipation of waiting till some nice deal comes along. And even though technically we often never save money in the store (because we spent money we maybe never intended to spent in the first place), it does feel like buying good deals and saving money. I have the serenity treat for just 513 and Grandpa's Grove for only 475. I'm very glad with those deals
I read earlier you are playing the achievements. That sounds like fun, I think I'm going to do the same. I love playing the achievements in The Sims Medieval. After I had earned them all (and unlocked extra content), I kept certain files so the extra content stayed unlocked. But, to my own surprise, I noticed playing the game is less interesting if all achievements are already earned. So I removed those files because I like playing the achievements so much.
Fish, spiders. Sure, why not.
I have made a small world in CAW with nothing in it but some roads and a few lots in different sizes. When I only want to build, I play that world because it loads faster. It can also be used when I only want to play around in CAS. It's to bad that every time I remove my temp files, the store items I have installed need to load up again (which takes a while).
It's a shame we cannot always have all we want/own installed. I have several EP's en SP's not installed. I bought IP the other day (in the store it was the last one on dvd, so yeah) which has a lot of lag in it. Ellacharmed world fixes didn't help, playing with no store items didn't help. I have found two topics (here and here in case anybody is interested) with possible solutions to reduce the lag so I'm going to try that. After I have sorted out my store items again (but this time I got some help to reduce duplicates even more). Anyway, I always have WA installed (love that EP), Late night and Ambitions. And now Island Paradise. For SP's I only have Fast Lane Stuff installed because it has a trait and some cool items. Maybe I need to move to Sunset Vally, after all I can have a houseboat over there as well (and I bought IP mainly because of the houseboats) and vacation in IP (got some NRaas mods).
I have the Bakery. I'm very glad with it. I have heard of that mod One more slot. Will have a closer look. Also at the Cupcake NRaas mod. Maybe I rebuild the lot on a smaller lot. Sometimes I do that (although, I haven't started my game yet with the Bakery so I don't know how big that lot is). One good thing about TS3 not being updated anymore is I'm more comfortable with using mods because they don't have to be updated anymore after every TS3 update. Or maybe they do but less. I do still check for mod updates but it was not necessary to update the mods I have now by a long time. I'm very thankful NRaas is still in business.

From what I have read they all should be compatible with version 1.67/1.69. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to use them but at least I have them. I think I'am first going to see for myself how the bakery plays and then I decide.EDIT II:
