Thanks for the advice! I'm going to leave it until the sales swap over Friday (and check out the weekend freebies, if there are any) and then make my final decision. I really, REALLY want it now, but it's probably best for my sanity to make sure neither the OUTCottage or Make a Wish come up -- I hate that ripped off feeling when you JUST buy something, and it goes on sale cheaper. I'm definitely thinking the small set is best (and it is only a few SimPoints, so worse case scenario isn't a total nightmare anyway).
As you say, hopefully this list is a way of lulling us into a false sense of security so they can hit us with something amazing! I've never seen the Thanksgiving/BF/CM sales, so I want to be AMAZED! Otherwise, this list is unforgivable, especially because I've still been setting my alarm every night. Do I really need to wake up at 4am for curtains? No. Do I do it anyway? Yes. Just in case.
The MMAO thing is a nifty idea and I'm grateful to see new features like that, but I'm not super impressed. I'll keep checking every single day to see what pops up, but until CYS is introduced, I can't imagine it being too motivating. I'm noticing that Tutor of Tudors seems to be popping up a lot -- I was offered that twice! I did end up buying a small offer though, that had a few bits and bobs in it and the Not So Routine Machine. My discount was somewhere around 40%, so I was pretty happy. All in all, I'm just glad the Store is moving again, even with a bit of an odd list at the moment.
Yes, waiting is the smart move. I can't even count the number of times I bought something only to have it go on sale a week later. It has turned me into someone who is scared to buy anything unless it is practically free, or I can't live without it.
And the curtains, I admit I am also getting up earlier than I need to, and I suppose I really need to stop looking for a change that apparently isn't coming. I wouldn't mind the curtains if not for the fact that they are all coming from the exact same sets. It isn't just about the fact that I own all 70 items on the DD so far, it is about the fact that all 70 items come from the same darn sets... yes, I know I have already mentioned this a couple times, but seriously it is madness. 70 friggen items from the same 1/2 dozen (or so) sets?????? Just total madness, and beyond mind-numbing. If I ever decide to quit the store entirely it will be due to nonsense like this.
And on MMAO - they really should have set this up to take CYS into consideration. What is the point of offering me the Tudor set 3 times if all three times you are asking me to pay double my CYS (or more). I am not a total 🐸🐸🐸🐸, so either give a discount that takes my CYS into consideration or stop offering me sets where you cannot beat my CYS price. And certainly do not offer me the same set 3 times in a row, because that is just annoying.

I'd be more worried when the problem is, "I've got too much to buy - now I'm out of points and have to purchase more yet again." My hubby was shocked I didn't take any of the offers since I have sim points just sitting there waiting to be spent and I can't buy anything on DD cause I've apparently got the whole store that they are willing to deal on! I hope that some people are getting better deals than what I was offered and that would be great, but I hope folks are checking the math before they hit the buy button.

Alright, I need opinions people. Which color/grain for the benches and which color for the carpet? I am leaning towards the green, though I think I will make it a bit more dull. OR I am completely open to different colors, though I don't want to use any blues since Jen already used it :P

Good luck with that. I got lucky in my first MMAO it gave me 5 items from Make a Wish comp for 288, which gave me HEA free then OUAT free than the comp free (i think that's how it went, you get the idea). My comp CYS was a bit over 800 so I really lucked out!
