Alright, I need opinions people. Which color/grain for the benches and which color for the carpet? I am leaning towards the green, though I think I will make it a bit more dull. OR I am completely open to different colors, though I don't want to use any blues since Jen already used it :P

Also the reception area is an orange/pink color so I want to stay away from red, pink, or cream.

    Okay... GO!

I like the white benches best because of the way they go with the arches and pillars (don't want to say columns - that's a dirty word right now) :) But I'm also big on lots of contrast, so may not be the best person to ask. I also like the green carpet best, but again I may be biased as that's one of my favorite colors! Anyway, it's looking good!

Ya I'm not holding my breath for it. If it happens it happens, I am not to sure I want to wait and see if any of the set shows on the DD(lol) I really really want that feeder...When I go to just the Atomic collection it's way more. So I think I'm getting a decent deal on it but not jumping for joy kinda deal.

the 450sp would probley make the set lower since its PC instead of items = cost of it i hoping i can save up enough to buy it before sale ends

I really like the blue carpet and the far blue for the benches. It ties in with the blue in the flowers.

Isn't it impressive how all 5 items showing on the DD page are Hewnsman doors?

Meg I think the seats should match the arch, so if the arch is staying that brown then the seats should be too. If the arch is going to be white then white seats

If you or anyone else is truly bored...you can always build me a farm! I was looking for some farms to plop down in Riverview...and thats when I noticed that I really don't have any farms

So my shameless desperate self is soliciting all of you to build farms!! Please

Well, sorry to disappoint you. I have been building, but it's all city and no farm. (I don't actually have the new set yet, waiting for a sale, so I probably won't be doing a farm soon.) But maybe this will convince you to stay in the city a bit longer!

That really is far too many doors of one kind! I was almost convinced that I should get the Hewnsman stuff, because I keep seeing them. It's hypnotic. I resisted and am saving my points (for now!)

Am I the only person who is worried that they'll hit us with a sale out of nowhere and you'll be stuck at work, or on the road, trying to buy SPs on your phone? Or even worse, while you're asleep? Maybe that 'neurotic' trait is not just on my Sim. :) Does EA generally give us a heads up when a sale is coming, or is this how they do it all the time?

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll try a few of them and see how they look.

In other news, did anybody else get a survey from EA about their customer service? ::rubs hands together:: This should be good!

They must have done some serious updating. I just got 2 new badges, 1 for adding a friend 10 times, and 1 for adding a friend 25 times. Hmm, I am currently at 94 friends. When I went to school 94 came after 10 and 25. No wonder we don't understand EA math!

I just got an email that I got a badge for adding a friend as well, though I can't find the badge...EA math and art are lacking. Invisible badges, 'new math'. They're high tech!

    Shoppe Counter Island 30/50 40% 2 Hours
Currently on the DD page, "past sales" lists the price of this deal as 32/50.

Regarding the price, sorry, I didn't notice my typo. Thank you for catching that.
I know it's only a couple of SP but can we clarify that we are certain of this.

When I was younger there was a magazine called Young Miss. Maybe it is still available. The magazine had a regular feature titled, "Was My Face Red" where readers wrote in about embarrassing moments. Well, now it is my turn. Was my face red when I incorrectly "corrected" Alli's post. I can even prove it with a screenshot of the deal. I just looked at the screenshot. I was looking at Shoppe Counter as Adrian deduced.

My apologies Alli.

MEG!! If the survey is from Global something and offers a gift card, don't do the survey. I was offered the survey ages. It was malware. Took me forever to clear the pop-ups. I didn't even do the survey.

Edit to add: I just Googled Global survey - Global Consumer Survey is malware.

No! No! NO!! Don't move on. I love your rants and vents and I guess I should say so. You say things I am totally thinking sometimes. My hubby was shocked I didn't take any of the offers since I have sim points just sitting there waiting to be spent and I can't buy anything on DD cause I've apparently got the whole store that they are willing to deal on! I hope that some people are getting better deals than what I was offered and that would be great, but I hope folks are checking the math before they hit the buy button.

Thank you for your kinds words. I tend to be brutally honest about the store sometimes, and I got concerned that I was annoying everyone. I do think we need to speak our minds if we ever want that store to change, but perhaps I speak mine too often. I suppose I need to find a happy middle, where I say what needs to be said just not so much that I drive others crazy with my ranting.

It didn't bother me at all, so no apology is needed. Considering the number of items that look exactly the same on the list, it was an easy mistake to make. Please don't feel bad, and thank you for kind gift. It was not needed, but I do appreciate it!

On the subject of building (since the Daily Dealzzzzzz...*ahem*  )

Does anybody else occasionally like to to decorate their builds with excessive clutter, or do you prefer to keep things neat, orderly, spacey, and somewhat spartan?

I also feel the need to use so many of the items that are available, just because they are there, thus occasionally deviating from a theme, or overplaying the theme.

I would probably be better off asking in the Builders' thread, but, like I said *yawn* zzzz.... [dreaming of doors]

I do mainly not to decorated. If it goes I do it but I don't like clutter and I like open spaces. maybe I am just strange

    Love the loft Kat, rec'd.

I think I'm starting to get a cold, so doing things that are productive are out of the question, so I decided to analyze the DD so far.

We have had 74 single items in a row from the following 28 individual sets: (numbers indicate how many items we have seen from each individual set)

Animals Abound Playground - Outdoor Fun - 1
    Bayside Bathroom - 3
    Bayside Kitchen - 4
    Collectionne Stäncké - 3
    Critter Comforts - 3
    Full Bayside Set - 2
    Full Storybook Set - 4
    Hewnsman Bedroom - 9
    Hewnsman Dining Room - 2
    Hewnsman Living Room - 8
    Hewnsman Outdoor Set - 3
    I Heart the 50's Laundry - 1
    Panda & Friends - 1
    Regal Living Kitchen - 1
    Steampunk: the Return - 1
    Storybook Bathroom - 1
    Storybook Bedroom - 3
Storybook Dining Room Set - 3
    Storybook Living Room - 2
    Tiki Dining Room - 5
    Tiki Living Room - 2
    Ultra Lounge Bedroom - 1
Ultra Lounge Boys Bedroom - 2
    Ultra Lounge Dining / Outdoor - 2
Ultra Lounge Girls Bedroom - 2
Ultra Lounge Living Room - 2
Ultra Lounge Study Set - 1
Ultra Lounge Teens Set - 2

Grouping these individual sets into collections, we have the following results:

    Kids 2010 - 5
    Bayside - 9
    Collectionne Stäncké - 3
    Storybook - 13
    Hewnsman - 13
    Loads of Laundry - 1
    Regal Living - 1
    Steampunk - 1
    Tiki - 7
    Ultra Lounge - 12

Ok, now lets sort the items into build/buy categories! (OOH isn't this fun!). Of categories, we have 15:

    bar - 1
    bed - 5
    child development - 9
    column - 2
    counter - 6
    curtains - 5
    décor - 12
    desk - 1
    door - 6
    large appliance - 4
    seating - 16
    shelf - 1
    small appliance - 2
    trash can - 1
    tub - 3

How much of it do you own? I have all of it now, the only things I didn't have before were a couple of the Storybook items, which I have now, since I was able to snag the Make a Wish comp. And, while I do not own all of Collectionne Stäncké, the 3 items that have shown up on the rotation, I did have, so I wouldn't mind if they went back to that set to send items from!

What other ways can we sort the list? I was going to post a pie chart but it was a lot of tiny slices!
