My world is based on Los Angeles for my sims, who are the cast of NBC's Chuck! My favorite show!!

I have downtown, with all the tall buildings, hollywood hills, Griffith Park, and Santa Monica/ Marina Del Rey planned!

Here is what I have so far!



This is Downtown as seen from The Playground in Griffith Park! The tall building is my interpretation of the US Bank Tower.

Not an update.... Ive just been working on refing somethings and adding some houses. I Thought it would be a good idea to put this little location map together, so you guys could have a feel of where the commmunity lots were in my world.

Also, there are ALOT of residential lots, even with empty lots.... I am NOT going to be able to fill them all myself.

If anyone wants a residential lot put into my world, ill gladly accept it, and give proper credit when the release date comes. If people are interested i can give lot sizes that I need!

Comprised of fairly wealthy homes. These houses arent for the financially challenged, but wont completely drain your bank account!

So what do you think?

Ive recently laid down the lots of all the homes im going to make. With the exception of maybe 2 or 3 community lots, I have them all pretty much done. Its just residential now.

ALSO! I was reading another post about how people didnt like random sized lots... I noticed I havent really been paying attention to lot sizes. So would you guys be upset if there are a few odd ones, then all the lots Ive place after I read that are now common sizes? I dont want to offend anyone. LOL! I will make sure that all the empty lots I place are common sizes so you can place your premade lots without a problem.

AND ANOTHER THING (Sorry for these random questions...) I was reading that people didnt like worlds without seagulls making noise at the beach. I have seagulls floating around Santa Monica, but not sure how to get the ambients in there... Do they come with the seagulls? If now how do I get them?

OOOHHH ALSO! (once again sorry! lol) How do I get the Beautiful Vista buff on lots I already laid down? I placed lots not realising it at all, now dont know how to add it? Also how does that work?

At Venice Beach, you can grab a bite to eat at a sidewalk vendor, play a game of chess, or spend a night in the Venice Beach Hotel!



Or take a dip in the ocean (or atleast you can do that as soon as EA lets us!)

Alright guys... LA should be uploaded any minute now! Remember what I said though. The houses wont be furnished and there may be some bugs, I have done maybe about 10 minutes of play testing so far!

This is the absolute first time anyone is seeing this and I really appreciate your help in helping me play test it!

Also if you like building you can furnish any house, and upload it to the exchange and just link it to me... And it doesnt have to be limited to furnishing. You can rebuild, add, change, do whatever you want! Just try to tell me what you did to it, so i know!

There just empty foundations, Its the only way to get them tall enough. I was going to put penthouse apartments at the top of some, but without elevators, or spiral stairs i didnt have a way to the top.

On some of them though, i put a rabbit hole sticking out of the bottom, so it looks like a business at the bottom, then an "apartment building at the top" I did this with the Diner and Spa!

Theres just one problem on Picture 5...

Youve places lots over the sea, so it turns the sea to grass, can you see how underneath now the sea bed is completely flat where the lot finished off? :>

Yeah, I had to place them over the water to get the "pier effect". I was going to get a water texture to paint the ground with below the pier, but couldnt figure out how to import custom textures... Anyone know how to do this?

Yeah! i got some sections of houses where there not all the same design wise planned. Thats where the empty lots will be! I didnt add any in the suburbs, cause, well theyre suburbs and all the houses are supposed to look alike!

why, may i ask, is it called overlook bay? why not just call it los angeles? that would be better since thats what its based on. i was going to make a los angeles world...but now that you have, i can download that...though i would prefer it if you renamed it Los Angeles...but its your world

It is called los angeles. he was saying that he loved the look over overlook bay ( made by another user). over look bay has nothing to do with this world, this is las angeles. read closely.
