These two were originally created when I first started playing Sims 4:
Twin brothers Norrell and Tadeo Quest.
Both started off as warlocks (before being turned into vampires) and are also the crown princes of their homeland (before moving to the human realm). I wanted to give them a look that was both fantastical and modern.
Norrell's (left) look was loosely inspired by the Goblin King from the film, 'Labyrinth.' He changes his fashion whenever he feels like it and favours boots, fancy jackets, tight jeans and likes to be as outrageous as possible. He is very into his music and also claims to be 'the Lord of Mischief'; I wanted to echo that in his dress sense with a flamboyantly coloured and flashy rockstar look. I chose the feminine walk for him because I felt the swagger walk wasn't quite enough swagger for him. I wanted him to strut like a supermodel!
Another part of his backstory is that he is a rare colourless (grey) warlock. Warlocks born with this appearance are seen as an omen in his realm and he was often picked on for it as a child. Norrell's reaction to this was to decide not to care what anyone thinks of him and so he purposely dresses in as many bright and garish colours as possible to stand out. He believes that if you have freakiness, you should own it and flaunt it! To enhance his showiness, I give him a full set of jewellery with each outfit. He also likes to illustrate himself with arm tattoos and colourful eye make up.
Norrell is known for his very eccentric behaviour; he once turned up to a formal event in full Day of the Dead makeup because he wanted to have a moustache for the occasion.
The 'eyeball' ring he wears is the main source of his magic. He specialises in illusions and voodoo.
Tadeo is the polar opposite in personality of his brother. He is awkward, insecure and particularly self-conscious about his enormous nose and ears. He wears hats constantly when out and also wears his hair down to try and obscure these features a bit. He nearly always wears black to try and blend in with the background. The all-black outfits were also to reflect his preference for being alone in his room writing gothic/romantic poetry.
I originally gave him a long cloak as his default outfit, but then realised he was wearing the same outfit as the grim reaper, so I changed it to baggy trousers and a modest top to emphasise the fact that he doesn't like to show anything off.
The reason for the bright pink hair is because Tadeo's hair is the main source of his magic (and another source of embarrassment for him!). He is a rare punzulum warlock (of whom 99% of the population are female) with song-activated hair powers.
I gave him the creepy walk because, whilst Norrell would walk into a public place like he's the headline act, I envision Tadeo slinking quietly into places, trying his best not to fall over anything and make a fool of himself (he's very clumsy!).
This is Captain Serious, who I moved in with the Landgraabs. His look is straight out of the 1950's--he's someone who has seen serious combat in the military, is very strict, and doesn't really have a sense of humor. Or in other words, he's all business

These are definitely not as unique and creative as most of your sims (kudos to all of you for having such good ideas and creative looks!) but this family is very special to me and I've put a lot of work into their features and outfits. Rose is the red haired adult, and she was the first sim I ever made for the Sims 4, vaguely based on me since I have red hair as well. I've been playing her for years now and editing her as I get more packs and CC, and over the years, I had her meet and fall in love with Carrie, who is now her wife, and they now have two daughters, Beatrix (child) and Isla (toddler). Beatrix and Isla are biologically Rose's children, so they have Rose's fairer complexion, red toned hair, and freckles. This is them showing off their pride outfits

Also here's my alien family, The Ripleys, that I'm pretty proud of too, worked to make their hair and skin compliment each other and gave them all outfits that have a similar style. They all have Z names too - Zander, Zinnia, Zira, Zane, and Zola
When we got the ability to do cross-dressing and transgender I created Lance, my female impersonator.
By day, he is a quiet unassuming gentleman
But at night, on stage, is when he really shines
Love this! I love that the Sims 4 lets us customize gender and outfits, definitely one of the Sims 4 features I really appreciate - I just wish we could customize pronouns too. This one of my sims, Wendall, who identifies as nonbinary, and I really wish I could use they/them pronouns for them.
Ok so here's some sims with some thought out detail for you, @Nate_Whiplash1 (this deals less with specific looks since it involves so many sims, but it's one of my more complex story lines I have going, so if you like detail, here you go :P)
So first off, meet Lourdes Mendez and her mother, Gloria, and her two daughters, Elena and Camila. Lourdes is divorced so her mother moved into her tiny home to help her with the girls. Lourdes is working to fulfill her dream of becoming a mixologist and also trying to get back into the dating game. She also has a teenage son, Mario, but he lives with his father, and they have a strained relationship.
Which brings us to the Harrison family. Kendall Harrison is Lourdes ex-husband. When they divorced, their teenage son Mario decided he wanted to live with his dad. Kendall is doing much better than Lourdes (he's a chef - he originally met Lourdes at work). Kendall is remarried, and his wife, Jamie, has also brought her daughter, Pearl, from a previous relationship to live with them. They also just had twins, Axel and Vienna. Mario has a good relationship with both his sisters, Elena and Camila, but he and Pearl, his step-sister, are constantly fighting.
If you think that it ends there, buckle up, because it's about to get more intense. This is Yvonne, Lourdes' younger sister. She's a bit wild - she dropped out of school and eloped with Diego Lobo (pre-made sim in San Myshuno), since she was intoxicated by his wealth. Despite all the odds, their relationship has lasted, though Yvonne's mother, Gloria, is very unhappy with Yvonne's decisions and hates Diego.
Yvonne and Lourdes also have an older brother, Horatio, who's kind of a dead beat, living an indulgent life style. Horatio has recently moved in with Jodi Gallagher, a wealthy widow, who enjoys dating younger men and helps fund Horatio's lifestyle. Gloria is also very disappointed in her son and has a strained relationship with him as well. Jodi also has a son, Jackson, who has a role in the next part of this story.
Now here is where things get even more convoluted and connected. This is Carolina Hale. She is a homeless sim who is erratic, hates children, and struggles with some addictions. Unfortunately, Carolina has had two unexpected pregnancies. The first was from a one night stand she had with Diego Lobo before he married Yvonne, and the second was from a fling she had with Jackson Gallagher, Jodi's son. Her two children, Bradley and Amara, live with Carolina's straight laced sister, Virginia.
Virginia was living her ideal life as a food critic with her husband Spencer Tanaka, a surgeon, and their two daughters, Chloe and Eliana, but she has welcomed her niece and nephew into her home and embraced a more chaotic life.
And that's how I like to play the sims lol - I create unique outfits and looks when I can, but my true passion is making interconnected stories

he is not exactly fond of humans but was sent on earth on a mission and is now using his money and influence to bring down the humanity
he is of different alien colony than his wife, mother of the family

who is of royal line of her colony and had her whole life as pampered little princess
she originally came on earth for a fun vacation and culture experiences but met Quentin along the way and decided to stay
she loves the arts and music humans come up with and wants to make friends with every single one of them
their daughter, Charlotte
was born on earth and doesn't really know what being alien means for her yet
but she is very interested in science and space and wants to go to space one day to meet her relatives
and yes they live in this very basic small house which however is very cozy and spacey inside
neighbors think they are just really into scifi but some know better

This is my sims mother Chen, she's a single mother and works as a politician so she has a pretty busy life. She likes to be presentable and would never be seen walking around in jeans or anything casual, and she likes to unwind after a busy day by doing yoga.
This is my main sim Eric who is her son and is currently working as a scientist, nothing that complicated with his style to be honest this is just my style of fashion.

He is fresh off the sales room floor. I wanted him to be very mannequin like. I left him pretty default, and gave him a job as a model, since that is the only work he knows. I gave him a big TV, because there was a TV in the fashion department in which he was a mannequin. I also gave him Thinking aspirations and traits, since he had lots of time to think when he was just standing around being a mannequin.
How did you make a mannequin sim? Looks so cool and creepy. Would love it if the whole neighborhood looked like this. But then the game would just generate new townies right? Is there a way to turn that off?
Edit: nvm just seen your response. But is there a mod to stop the game from generating new townies?
The Sims has currently lost its identity. Bring it back for TS5
@StrawberryYogurt npcc mod by paulson, it allows you to choose which townies to generate or if you want none, not sure if it still works but it's worth to give it a try

This is the matriarch and patriarch of the Anderson family, Esther (who has had extensive plastic surgeries aka CC lol, because, yes, she is actually an elder) and her husband, George. Currently, their teenage son, Reese lives with them. Reese is dating Alexander Goth, who is a ghost and aged up to a teen in my game (the whole Goth family are ghosts and edited and added a toddler named Lucy). Bonnie, their second youngest child, recently moved in with them too, after have a horrific break up with her long time boyfriend, Isaiah. Bonnie recently had a baby, Benny, so both of them are living with her parents while Bonnie gets back on her feet. She is a style influencer and can work from home to take care of the baby, though Esther helps out a lot too.
Esther and George also have two other older children. The oldest is Collette, who is dating Salim Benali from San Myshuno. She is his live in girlfriend and she's often frustrated with his lack of ambition but she has continued to put up with him. Honestly I forget what her career is since I haven't really played their household in a while. Collette is hoping he'll eventually propose, but knowing Salim, that could be a while...
Their second oldest child is Greg, and he's married to Summer and they have four daughters - Wren, Lark, Fern, and Clove. Summer has fully initiated Greg into a barefoot, hippy lifestyle, and they currently make a living by growing and selling a certain plant Greg and Summer met in high school and got pregnant with Wren when they were teens, so Wren is already a young adult.
Wren is married to Nadine Assaoui. Wren recently found out she is pregnant with their first baby made possible by in vitro fertilization aka the MCCC mod. Wren is a gardener by profession as well. Nadine doesn't live with Wren full time though. Nadine is a full time nanny for the Beckett family, Lilah and her two sons, Ollie and Wilder. Lilah is a Weimaraner breeder her spends half her time at a remote home in Brindleton Bay helping her dogs, Juniper and Frankie, mate and birth their puppies and then sells them. When Lilah is off at the breeding house, Nadine lives in with Ollie and Wilder.
And that's just one more story in my complex world

This is Tiana. She is from Sulani and loves her Island heritage (which I completely made up because why not?). She was created specifically to be the girlfriend of one of my millionaire Sims whose story started in the Sims 3. I play this save kind of as an extension to his story and he so he can finally have his happily ever after.

was born on earth and doesn't really know what being alien means for her yet
but she is very interested in science and space and wants to go to space one day to meet her relatives
and yes they live in this very basic small house which however is very cozy and spacey inside
neighbors think they are just really into scifi but some know better

How did you make a mannequin sim? Looks so cool and creepy. Would love it if the whole neighborhood looked like this. But then the game would just generate new townies right? Is there a way to turn that off?
Edit: nvm just seen your response. But is there a mod to stop the game from generating new townies?

This is the matriarch and patriarch of the Anderson family, Esther (who has had extensive plastic surgeries aka CC lol, because, yes, she is actually an elder) and her husband, George. Currently, their teenage son, Reese lives with them. Reese is dating Alexander Goth, who is a ghost and aged up to a teen in my game (the whole Goth family are ghosts and edited and added a toddler named Lucy). Bonnie, their second youngest child, recently moved in with them too, after have a horrific break up with her long time boyfriend, Isaiah. Bonnie recently had a baby, Benny, so both of them are living with her parents while Bonnie gets back on her feet. She is a style influencer and can work from home to take care of the baby, though Esther helps out a lot too.
Esther and George also have two other older children. The oldest is Collette, who is dating Salim Benali from San Myshuno. She is his live in girlfriend and she's often frustrated with his lack of ambition but she has continued to put up with him. Honestly I forget what her career is since I haven't really played their household in a while. Collette is hoping he'll eventually propose, but knowing Salim, that could be a while...
Their second oldest child is Greg, and he's married to Summer and they have four daughters - Wren, Lark, Fern, and Clove. Summer has fully initiated Greg into a barefoot, hippy lifestyle, and they currently make a living by growing and selling a certain plant
Wren is married to Nadine Assaoui. Wren recently found out she is pregnant with their first baby made possible by in vitro fertilization aka the MCCC mod. Wren is a gardener by profession as well. Nadine doesn't live with Wren full time though. Nadine is a full time nanny for the Beckett family, Lilah and her two sons, Ollie and Wilder. Lilah is a Weimaraner breeder her spends half her time at a remote home in Brindleton Bay helping her dogs, Juniper and Frankie, mate and birth their puppies and then sells them. When Lilah is off at the breeding house, Nadine lives in with Ollie and Wilder.
And that's just one more story in my complex world
