  • The choice depends upon the family you're playing, I think. In my game, the mother is family-oriented and wishes to raise five babies into their teens. Since so many people at home would complicate my game, I wait until the child is on the honor roll and enroll them in boarding school. This gives mom and dad time to focus…
  • The family oriented sims which I've had to release to the world became like bunnies and have had huge families but, I did make sure they were married first I've not seen them marrying on their own. Perhaps that just in my game though. Hope this helps. :)
  • I have found that with Generations, I needed to change my gameplay a bit. Since lifestages can be longer, I have a lot of "days" but no more hours in the day. I had to slow things down and be patient. Another thing you can do to mix things up is to download a sim from the exchange and play that one or in CAS, hit the…
  • My family had dated, became engaged, finally married and then when their baby was a child, they got the eternally faithful reputation. It hasn't seemed to happen immediately for me.
  • i would like the option of turning off the false accusations, especially against children who have no recourse. I hate that particular feature especially when I have a sim with the Super Popular ambition. The paparazzi is a pain as well as having a city full of vampires.
  • Thank you for posting these. :) I'd seen the first but not the second. Regarding the IF, in the second vid when he was getting the paper, he looked like he was flat moving which is nice to see. I think he's cute regardless of how fast or slow he is. I do have a question though. In the second vid there is a man playing…
  • 21 days 16 hours 14 minutes 11 seconds. That's what time is left until it's released. If you want a second by second countdown, check out Snooty Sims. http://snootysims.com/ It's at the top of the page..... not that I'm excited or anything. :D
  • Apparently, there is also the option of going to the spa for a waxing which removes body hair. Since men seem to be wimps when it comes to this, I can't really see this being much of an option in real life. :P
  • From what I've read, parents have the ability to "forgive" if the child asks so, I would imagine whatever punishment has been given can immediately be withdrawn from begging forgiveness. Just my guess but, it would seem having the nurturing trait also might make parents more apt to have mercy on their children.
  • I can't find the screenshot but, they have made a house to look exactly like the doll house. If this house isn't it, its differences are quite small.
  • To the OP: To each his own. Personally, I hate celery. I have yet to picket my grocery store for carrying it nor do I spend my time trying to convince those who love it that it's nutritionally empty, therefore, unnecessary. The Sims 3 is a game which, in my mind, is a thing for recreation only. Necessities would be air,…
  • I have to vote along with Kail16. Let the kids play musical instruments! I also miss that sims could sing together using the microphone. I really enjoyed that.
  • I could not agree more! I have my family all prepared and waiting for Generations. After several generations, I've stopped the family with grandparents, parents and will wait until I install the EP to have children. The family is old so, they already have something like 5 million simoleans and everyone is already maxed out…
  • This is what I found: Mood Enhancer $3 – Enhances your mood Stink Juice $7 – For pranks! Liquid horror $15 – I didn’t use it but I assume it makes the sim it is used on frightened. Radical Reparum $37 – As far as I could tell this improves your handiness skill for a few hours. Bladder Flow $56 – Makes your sim need the…
  • Matchmaker!!! Requires Charisma, Logic, Hopeless Romantic and possibly a new trait which would give the sim a greater insight into what would make a good match. Clients provide a completed questionaire similar to the questions on match.com and other dating sites. Much of the work could be done on the computer. Also, what…
  • I'm beginning to agree with you. I'm sure the developers had the best intentions but, I'm left to wonder if any of them actually played The Sims or The Sims 2. I should think that would be a prerequisite. It's impossible to know where you're going unless you know where you began. Still, the EP isn't even out yet. The proof…
  • To be honest, when I first saw it, it really, really creeped me out but, when I saw it in a video I changed my mind. It seemed so happy and carefree and I fell in love with it.
  • Announcement Tolerance 101 and Mutual Respect class will be held in the library at 2 p.m. All are invited to attend. Please check your clubs and other weapons at the door.
  • Children don't innately have a sense of what is icky and what is not. It's generally something they pick up in socialization. I'm female but when I was a kid, I wore my daddy's hat, suspenders and shoes when I was playing the daddy. I wore my mother's clothing when I played the mommy. Perhaps I was just extremely innocent…

  • There are aspects of this which I absolutely wanted! I'm a bit disappointed they didn't take certain elements and expand on them but, I've yet to see an EP where anyone gets exactly what they wanted.
  • It seems to me that those which have been dubbed "haters" are simply not pleased with this EP and hope that EA will make future EPs to their liking. Those so dubbed as "lovers" are happy with the content of this EP. I think this just shows different styles of playing. Some people like kids/families. Others don't. Some seem…
  • I'm giving up on the interviews. The way EA did it was so much more personable and conversational. This is just very bad canned public relations. Everyone gives the same answer down to the punctuation marks. They need to learn to answer questions without a "no but..." or completely ducking the question and give another of…
  • I don't disagree with you at all. I found your frankness amusing.
  • I had that problem and sometimes still do. If it's the same thing I experience, I use the resetSim <name> on all the sims that are stuck, including my own last. It seems to unstick everything.
  • Awww.. Bafendo, tell us how you really feel. *giggles*
  • Happy Easter! and I'm with you on the negative thread business. My only problem comes in when I see the picking on a newb or younger player for some minor thing. Then I find I must say something in support of the victim.
  • If you're talking about the one I think you are, you can remove the loot from the display tables and if you replace them with anything, even an apple or small meteorite, the traps will shut down. I believe it's supposed to suggest pressure sensitive traps.
  • I'm with you on this one! It's so much fun preparing a home and family that I'll actually be able to use once the EP comes out. As for will I get it: I already have arranged a week of quiet solitude just so I can play it non-stop,other than sleeping and other necessary bodily functions. :P
  • That was my understanding as well. :)
  • I'm not all that fussed with the woohoo other than for raising social/fun and creating children however, I think what would be really awesome is if children conceived elsewhere than the bed would have hidden traits. For example, a child conceived in a hot tub could swim like a fish and never worry about drowning throughout…
