Ok I caved and got the Home Chef pack and switched my sims aspiration to check it out!

@OJenn - yay! I actually won a copy of Home Chef but I haven’t investigated it too much yet. I did get my Strangerville family a pizza oven and a waffle maker though, and fortunately, there was only one fire - caused by my heir 🤣🤣. I tried one of the new aspirations but found it very difficult to get a sim inspired enough not to lose that moodlet by the time they got to the mixer!

In general news, I am really behind on updates 🤦‍♀️. I have one gen of the Brindleton Bay family and now one gen of Strangerville that I need to post, and a few really busy weeks but I will get it done eventually! Hopefully before I start on another of those two saves (I’ll be working on getting Isolde aged up now and ready to start in HoB).

Finally got back to playing yesterday! Small update coming soon but the question is, should I buy Home Chef or wait? My schedule is ridiculously busy right now.

Generation 1 | Henford-on-Bagley | Update 2

The twins, Mia and Mateo, celebrated another birthday.



With winter fast approaching, a green house was built for Tatiana's plants.



Mateo is the mischievous one, always playing tricks on his twin Mia.



Tony is an animal enthusiast, so they purchased a hen (Salsa) and a rooster (Rocket) that the twins named.



Still very much in love and their birthday's are soon.



Now that both children are in school, Tatiana spends her days in the green house tending to her garden.







That was a close call. Reason number one why you ALWAYS clean out the lint. Tony upgraded it right after the fire.



Mia found some unknown mushrooms that she picked for her mom.



Not enough space indoors to work on Mia's project, so they bundled up and headed outdoors.

Because Tony graduated from Univeristy!

@Luclylu - lovely update! The twins both look nice; Mia in particular looks unique, which is probably partially because of her glasses and hairstyle. Good to know there is enough room on that lot to build a greenhouse. I’m going to go with the other floor plan and there isn’t any space for anything else! I think I’ll have to build a basement for additional space. Yay to Tony for finishing Uni! Now he can finally get to work 🤣.

If you’re not going to have time to play with Home Chef, don’t get it yet. I have the pack but have really only investigated using the waffle maker, mixer and pizza oven. On the other hand, those are great additions to a kitchen, and teenagers will use them autonomously.

Saving Strangerville Chapter 1.02

Not much happened in the next couple of days. Xantara and Leslie both received promotions to level 2 in their jobs, and Xantara got a start on learning painting.

Finally, baby Xavia was born. She got Xantara's skin colour, and Leslie's hair and eye colours, and aged into the sensitive trait. Both parents (especially Leslie) doted on her.













Being a snuggly sleeper, Xavia's parents had to take it in turns giving her naps on the couch.




Xavia learned to stand not long before Xantara discovered she was pregnant again.




So lots of milestones were aimed for before Xantara and Leslie became very busy.




Twins! Alyza (sunny) and Neomi (cautious), who seem to be identical. Alyza has one ponytail and is in pink, Neomi has two and is in green. Both have Xantara's blue skin and pink eyes, and Leslie's blonde hair.

Around this time, Xantara had a personality swap, changing hot-headed for cheerful. Leslie also gained the cheerful trait. And Xavia aged up into a toddler, gaining the fussy trait.

@Luclylu - I love the addition of the green house, it'll be perfect for protecting the plants from those harsh winters. Is that a little red house for the chickens? How cuuuute! This reminds me that I haven't played with that pack nearly enough.

@MayaRose1138 - The infants are just so cute and baby Xavia is possibly the cutest. I feel like twins are so much more work as infants but Alyza and Neomi seem to be pretty chill babies, the house is getting full!

I am hopping back into my own save after being away for a while, here's hoping I get enough for an update ♥

@OJenn - no, you poor thing! It’s not good when a founder dies unexpectedly! If you didn’t save, you could always continue on without it happening again.... 🤔

I’m only a couple of days away from aging Isolde into a a YA. I’ve got the transition story worked out in my head now, just got to remember it for when I get to play her generation. If Horse Ranch is on sale next weekend, I’m planning on getting it but it will be too late to play it with Isolde’s family 😔.

I am back with a small update!

After getting settled into her new house Rhea had some unexpected visitors arrived for a stay over: her parents and sister




Despite how parsley decorated the place was her mother, Helga seemed to like it


They spent the majority of their time cooking and hanging out, most of them have a really close family dynamic.




Unfortunately soon after everyone left tragedy struck I walked away to use the restroom and when I came back Rhea was gone (I still don't know how she died since she was sleeping)


So I went looking for her family to help bring her back to life! Her sister Isabel moved into her little cottage and her parents are in the Old New Hendford area of the neighborhood. (For some reason they were all in Oasis Springs)


Fingers crossed they are successful

Is anyone else using the EA Play app now? I can't see to find the play button anymore for The Sims 4 but it shows that I own all the games.

I think I do but I haven’t had any problems with it. I’ve been able to play one of my saves, and just this afternoon, have created a three-unit residential retirement village for my Brindleton save. The play button when I open the EA app is next to where it says Sims 4 on the left hand side of my menu. If I can, I’ll take a screen shot and you can compare.

Edit: I've put an arrow where the play button is on my computer.

New retirement village apartments. Three units, four bedrooms each, with a shared meeting place with gym, music room and games room. Decorating is terrible but my sims won't be visiting often so I don't care

@OJenn - no, haven’t got the new pack yet as I’m waiting till I’m back in my Brindleton save, so closer to Christmas probably. I’ll get Horse Ranch during the Christmas sales hopefully. I tried free building the apartments but they looked terrible, so I went off a floor plan . A retirement home with 24 available spots should be big enough for all the elders in the family... I hope 🤣.

Yes, Plumtree is gone 😔. I haven’t worked out what to do with my trees either. I’ve got to get motivated and get all my updates done too to get everything up to date before I get back to my Brindleton save. Might have to spend one afternoon doing as many updates as I can!!

Popping back in here to say hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been around we got news back in December that we will be moving. Husband got promoted so it's a little bit of a bad house around as we prepare. I'll be off work for a few weeks so I am hoping to get some Sims time, finger crossed!

Happy New Year everyone! It’s been a bit quiet around here lately, which I’m guilty of as well. I’ve been doing a lot of sims playing over summer but on a different challenge. It’ll be time to get back into playing my Brindleton save soon, not to mention, getting some updates done! I’m still a generation behind in the Brindleton save, and most of the generation behind in the Strangerville one. I should have some free time this afternooon - let’s see if I can actually get anything done!

Rebuilding Brindleton Bay Gen 6.03

I can't believe that it was May that I last updated this family! I am seriously way behind!!

This was the first time I'd played with infants so I took a lot of pics. This is only a few of them Harlow had to do a lot of the childcare as Storm had to work.

Okay, infant spam done Somewhere in all that, Storm found out she was pregnant again. Harlow took it well

Winter and Molly adopted a toddler, Dayana, making her the oldest, but not the first, grandchild of Emerson and Rose.

Riker was introduced to his grandma.

Aspen and Naomi had twin boys, Theodore and Maxwell, both with red hair.

While Snow and Lawson had twins as well, Maisie and Alfie, also both with red hair.

Bellusdeo got sick and had to visit the vet since Storm didn't have high enough skill.

Winter got a cuddle of her oldest nephew.

Then Storm took Riker around to the retirement home when Mabel was able to meet her first great-grandchild.

Storm got promoted to level 4 in the detective career. She seems to mainly arrest teens though, so there must be a teen crime epidemic in Brindleton Bay.

Uh oh......

You probably don't remember, but way back before I got Growing Together, I hoped I wouldn't get triplets in the first pregnancy. Well, I didn't, but I did in the second one! Meet Luke Sawyer, Leia Primrose and Rey Clementine.

Their parents don't seem too worried at the moment.

Birthdays! Luke is wiggly, Leia is calm, and Rey is sunny. I rolled these, I didn't pick them, and they came out surprisingly close to their characters' personalities! And they're all redheads! See what I mean about those genes being really strong! Riker is the only grandchild who didn't get red hair! Luke did get Storm's eyes but the girls were a shade lighter, making them the same as founder Lia back in gen 1!

Emerson and Rose were immediately invited over to stay for a few days so that Riker would have someone to interact with while his parents dealt with three infants!

And to top it off, Rey was a snuggly sleeper, so she didn't like being put in her crib.

Fortunately, Riker aged up into an inquisitive toddler the same day. But he hated going to bed, so with him getting out of bed frequently, and Rey not wanting to sleep either, a fun time was had by all

In family news, cousins Sebastian got married, Samson had Orlando and got someone else pregnant on the same day, Louise - youngest of gen 4 - had Archer, and Snow is pregnant again. I don't think I'll bother too much with pics of cousins now because there is getting to be a few of them, as you'll see later on when I finish the generation and take a picture of the photo wall!

With the eye colour, it's technically not inherited but the slight variations make it seem like it is. Of the heirs, Lyric (2) was the only one to get Lia's eye colour, the rest - Dove (3), Mabel (4), Emerson (5) and Storm (6) - have all had Heath's colour, which was a shade darker. Now it seems like, depending on who is heir (which I know but I'm not going to tell), it might go back to being the lighter shade No matter what though, since the heir will be one of the triplets, we're going to have a red-haired heir again.

Saving Strangerville Gen 1.04

While I'm at it today, I might as well get an update for the other save

Toddler/infant spam. Xavia is the toddler, Alyza and Neomi are the infant twins (I don't remember which one was which!)

Baby T! Meet Telia, the only one so far to get Xantara's hair colour!

Given how busy the household was, it was just as well that Alyza (inquisitive) and Neomi (angelic) aged up to toddlers.

Life with three toddlers and an infant was very busy but the kids all got along well together.

Xavia did show that occasionally she didn't like not having a lot of attention

Leslie got a little exhausted at times...

But soon it was time for Xavia to age up into a child! She rolled Genius and Artistic Prodigy, and immediately started to help build the treehouse.

Last baby! Finally, a boy named Razek. He is going to be so outnumbered He aged into an intense infant.

And on the same day, Telia aged up into an independent toddler - yay!

So, all the kids are born for this generation. All of them ended up with alien skin (which I found in a challenge over on Boolprop, seems to be in the coding now, so no human-looking skin for aliens). Four ended up with Leslie's hair and three with her eyes, leaving only one with Xantara's white hair (none with blue, darn it) and two with her pink eyes. Nothing much happened in this week except raise infants and toddlers . Leslie's career is at Level 3 and Xantara's is at level 4, and they would trade off who got the day off to look after the kids.
