I'd say we're due for a Gamepack which may come in August. I think we'll get another Expansion Pack in November or December.

Yes 3 more years but less content per year makes sense unforutuanly like their stretching it out.

Yes. It's obvious we're not getting a pack in July since Wednesday is August 1st so I'm hoping in August atleast for a Stuffpack but if not a Gamepack.

There's something going on with the Sims brand behind the scenes. So my gut says, early December.

If it means that there will be a quality release, preceded by a multitude of bug fixes, I'm good with that. TS4 needs to figuratively take a knee and regroup because the issues are real.

Yeah I dont believe in yet another expansionpack this year. I think a gamepack yes, perhaps a stuffpack if they're continueing to bring those out, perhaps a bigger gameplay update somewhere this year. (I believe the one of today has to do with the gallery and nothing else)

I really don't think we'll get a stuff pack this month in August, although I really wish we do because I only have 3 more stuff packs to buy from TS4 and even though I don't have them, I get ridiculously excited when I buy them and I don't want that to end

We dont know if this is the strategy now.
Seasons was announced less then month before it realese.
Other EP was announced 3-4 months before the realese.

In fact, I think about TS3 Generations which was announced 4 weeks before the release date when the other EP were announced about 3 months before it.

So I think 4 weeks is the minimum and 4 months is the maximum (3 months + 1 month due to the delayed date like EP02 Get Together).

I have a hard time beliving we're not getting anything till November. Surely a Stuffpack will come out this month or next. Y'all are talking about only 1 more pack this year. EA needs to push out 3 more packs this year.

Not to be contentious, but by what authority do you say 'needs'? While it would be nice, there is nothing in the wind that even hints at it, but a lot that says 'winding down'.

I am going to predict that we will get a pack in November or December. Because I am a loser, I made a note of the gap between all EP and GP releases historically (ignored SPs, because I do not buy those) and on average there is a gap of 4.5 months between one EP or GP being released and the next one coming out. Seasons came out at the end of June. So, 4.5 months after that would be around November or December, particularly as they will want to release something in time for Christmas. I could be wrong though. There have been much longer gaps with no EP or GP, but I am being optimistic.

Outdoor retreat: 1/2015
Get to work: 3/2015 (2 months since previous pack)
Spa Day: 7/2015 (4 months since previous pack)
Get together: 8/2015 (1 month since previous pack)
Dine out: 6/2016 (10 months since previous pack)
City Living: 11/2016 (5 months since previous pack)
Vampires: 1/2017 (2 months since previous pack)
Parenthood: 5/2017 (4 months since previous pack)
Cats and dogs: 11/2017 (6 months since previous pack)
Jungle adventure: 2/2018 (3 months since previous pack)
Seasons: 6/2018 (4 months since previous pack)

Average: 4.4 months between EPs and GPs
Next pack: 11/2018

As you can see there were some long gaps, but also some shorter gaps too. So, perhaps averaging may not entirely work. We will see, though.

Actually, Im talking about the GP and SP.
They changed things, and we dont know if GP announcement is 2 weeks before the release date.

I would say it's not a surprise.
Witches may not be their current project since SimGuruGrant did a poll about the occult.

They work on several themes but I imagine Vacation and University are their highest priority right now.
