I once wanted to make Grim playable but failed, I don´t think you can actively play with him, because he then would be just a normal Sim with black skin.... Maybe we should wait for a Grim-baby and see if you´ll manage to get him into your active household without him losing his uniqueness of being Grim? Or did he already lost this status because he had the need to get a new career as a firefighter?
And WHY DO YOU HAVE SUCH AN OBSESSION WITH FIREFIGHTERS????? What kind of trauma are you working on here????

@divadoodle I have to admit I have never added Death to my game. I do have one in my saved sims folders from someone's studio. But, I'm not fond of death no matter how attractive/unattractive he is and no, I didn't really agree about the 'handsome' swimsuit. But, if he gets her to leave Leif alone more power to him!

He is a regular normal silly sim here in the town, with nothing to do at work, so maybe that's why he decided to work at the fire station! hahaha
Yes he can father children, and has in my other saves. He does steal candy from babies as he is evil, but other than that he is a good father. He likes romance and is a hopeless romantic!! LOL

Yes I thought it was interesting too that Grimmy came to the firestation yesterday, he has not yet arrived today though, I don't know why! It's like the firestation has a revolving door for all kinds of weirdos to come work there!
No Grimmy isn't homeless, he is not the usual 'The Grim Reaper' He is 'Grimmy'! He is a normal sim I got off the exchange several years ago. He doesn't have the smoke when he walks around like the normal Grim Reaper. He lives in that small house that the Countess once shared with David, next to the graveyard. So that is even more unusual that he showed up for work!
LOL I have a fascination with the Fire Station because it is SO ODD! I think it might be glitched! And I like to see how many active firefighters can actually do the job! it's funny to me all that happens there! Also it makes it very easy to find a handsome guy that might be a good boyfriend for the girls!
I don't know how many actual fire fighters I really have! I have 4 active ones from my household, then of the homeless, it is Supposed to be Billy, Jovan, Bob From Accounting. Dallas, Sebastian, and Youngman of the guys, and Zoe, crazy Gail and childish TheReal of the girls.
The new ones are that blonde girl Sian, and that new blond guy Rocky. I don't if Grimmy is really going to work there, Right now it is 15:30 in the game, and he still hasn't shown up for work! The Boss is Displeased about this! I will wait all day and see if he comes or not, if he doesn't show up, I will go give him a new job....maybe!
When I'm done with the Sorority house none of those Sorority sisters, nor Rico will be fire fighters any longer. They all have wishes for a new job! LOL
Annie and Ashley have left their lovers Bob and Billy, to go home to sleep. Bob dreams of Ashley.
However Eliza chooses to sleep at the station with her cutie Jovan.
As usual, all the fire fighters at the fire station, (but Eliza) leave at 2am for home. I follow Grimmy, we'll see if he shows up for work tomorrow, or if this was just a fluke!

They all climb out very excited! It is just a small house fire, Rico is on it! Eliza wants to play catch with the Boss!
Good boy Rico! I guess that really didn't work with all 4 of them.
They return to the fire station, Eliza is surprised she is faster on her bicycle!
But the second they arrive there is an alarm for a Large house fire! The 4 hop back in the fire engine and Zoom off to the Pendragon sisters house!
"You guys! Sunny said there are 2 trapped inside!'' says Ashley, thinking about vampires.
Then she thinks the best course of action is to think about sandwiches and play on the water slide!
"Please don't forget to save the children!" laments Sunny
"Oh right!" says Annie the Boss, ''but first I need to hug Rico for a job well done on the fire!''
Eliza smashes the door down to save the Teen, Jasmine!
She kicks the door down! "Get out! Hurry it's not safe!" she yells
Rico is upstairs chopping the bedroom door down, to save Danny's little boy, Beau!
"Everything is going to be alright, Beau, Let me carry you to safety." says Rico
"You smell like the fishing pond, Mister" says Beau
Rico safely puts the little child down, amid the screaming Sunny, the ball playing Annie and Eliza, and the water sliding Ashley.
"Thanks Mister!" says Beau. And that makes Rico feel like a Hero!
PS: I still need all 4 to actually fight fires or do something other than playing on the water slide 😁 during these emergencies!

I suppose I could call him Grim or Grimmy if that is less confusing. :P It just felt more natural to call him Death, as a name or label, not trying to indicate that he is actually dead. :P (In Norwegian, the similar term for "The Grim Reaper" is "Mannen med ljåen" which translates to "The Man with the Scythe" so if were to put Death in my game, I would probably end up calling him Scytheman. Death Scytheman. :P )
Who knew De.. uhm, Grimmy would be a hopeless romantic! But it makes sense too, collecting people to send them over to The Other Realm sure must be a lonely job... so why wouldn't he hope for some romance and affection? Poor guy...

I should wait a little longer but yesterday was another busy day, so didn't have time to comment later. I do hope you didn't miss them short though they were.
I hope you and hubby are recovering from the cold. The one hitting people here is leaving a lingering cough which is what I had back in May. It is still around as I've had several patients with complaints but were negative for the covid.

I wonder if there is a command in returner to stop the homeless from leaving at 2am. I might poke around in it if the Grand actually takes a good nap today. (Yes, Grand baby sitting today, Thursday and Friday.) It just seems that EA should have made them stay all the time. The potion store sim stays 24/7. The consignment sim works specific hours though. I wish I knew more about modding! I don't think my brain wants to learn anything new now! It's more into losing cells and memory.
I love that Eliza got such a handsome fella and that he loves kids. She had 6 kids with my sim in that world.

I got Grimmy from the exchange a long time ago. I just see him as any other sim who happens to have the story-line job of escorting souls to the other side, he doesn't kill people, and also no one ever dies lol! I used to get scared out of my skull with the music of the real Grim Reaper! omg why did they make that so scary sounding, my heart would be in my throat!

No we seem to still be the same, no real improvement, it just won't leave us! Thank you for telling me about the virus with the terrible cough, that's what hubby has and I'm so afraid it will be another pneumonia, he already has some scarring on his lungs from 2 previous bouts with it. At least he does the turn, cough, deep breathe, and so far he doesn't have that odor of pneumonia nor a fever. I will tell him the coughing virus is a thing and going around, he loves to know about stuff like that. NO! the festival workers already have a job! I really hate when the game changes the sims jobs when there is no need to! I have soo many sims that don't have jobs that it can pick from! and besides, I don't want that girl Jody trying to get close to Jovan and wrecking things for Eliza!
LOL I don't know why the fire engine was suddenly so slow! LOL Only the active sims can work on the fire engine and sometimes the game won't even let that happen! LOL my firestation is very glitchy!

If you have a death then he will come but make sure the simmie has the unlucky trait so you won't have to sacrifice a sim! Also the music is terrifying so turn the sound off!

I don't let my sims die either so I have no need for him in my game. I've never used the one I downloaded. All my sims get death flowers just in case, but I also would quit without saving if something untoward occurred and they didn't have one.
Well, I had not planned on having active sims in the fire fighter career so I'm not sure if there is much point in trying it now I know the others won't do anything.
I was out of work for 4 weeks with mine. The cough was just too bad to go in peoples homes and they would have been scared I had covid. It was still about 3 more weeks before it completely went away. I would chug Robitussin before going in homes. I have no history of asthma or other respiratory issues so I hope this is not the start of something new for me. Getting old is a challenge everyday! Lol at you teasing the boys!
I stepped on something last week and saw my MD yesterday and she made me get a tetanus shot since it has been years since I had one. My son is like "I want to see your foot." "You need to be wearing your shoes all the time." Nag, nag nag! He's getting bossy as well as protective. My shoes are the first things that come off when I get home, bra is second.
I hope Youngman is not thinking about using that dagger on him or one of the girls!

I had given Rico the moodlet manager, the 'contraption' the first time Rico was smelling bad but then decided to see if a shower would help. I forgot all about it to try to remove the odors, until I saw it in his backpack! So that is another way to get the cure! the next is the sunlight spell from a witch. I don't know if the toad kiss ever works LOL Oh you know what I didn't try, that would probably work, is having a pregnant sim give him the Toad kiss, because pregnant sims can't be toads so it can't backfire! I didn't try that because they didn't wish for another baby.

I really like him, he is unusual and so bad to break my mod, it still isn't working right! It is suppose to be that no one can become a RI unless I say it is so, and he somehow changed that! I don't know how he did it but I can't get it back to how I had it for the whole entire time until he broke it! He is a crafty one! a definite keeper for me!

If you ever use your Grim that you downloaded, I hope he acts like a nice boy! Mine just never did what he was supposed to, so he lost his house and is wandering around in the ether I think! Hopefully I will see him on a community lot. He never came again to the fire station like he first chose to do, so I do think that is his 'set' job. OH maybe he is a real game fire fighter that comes to your house if there is a fire, Like Church Lady was?!
Right there are 2 different fire fighter types. The usual ones that run really fast from the base game, and then the Ambitions ones who just stay at the fire station awaiting your active sim to come work there.
Thank you for telling me more about that coughing virus! Hubby was all ears and made me read it to him twice! He wants to know if yours was a productive cough or a dry cough? His is a dry cough but seems to be subsiding--well it is not constant now, so that is a good sign I think! I have him sleeping in the lazy boy so he can be more upright, and I am right next to him on the sofa, I am compelled to wake at all hours and see if he's still breathing ok at night. He caught me and went and got a cane from the garage and said to just poke him, as he doesn't want me getting up all the time! LOL He is such a lovely man!

Yes once I see the boyfriend speech bubble I put them together! Bob is such a mild mannered sweetheart! He seems almost innocent, and always seems delighted, surprised and smiling about everything! It's funny to me that Ashley chose him, instead of someone more like herself! I thought she was going to go for Grimmy, with all the traits they shared, but she didn't want him and kept it as friend only.

You probably already know this, but a plain old Cure Elixir can cure toadiness, too (the Potent Cure elixir also works), so if you're ever faced with unwanted froggies, may I suggest a quick call to (a preferably shirtless) Alfie to remedy the situation.

I think I will probably play him in the future, to see what he's really all about! He was like this in my last save too, not breaking things but always showing up! I let him be a party boy last time he really liked it!

I once wanted to make Grim playable but failed, I don´t think you can actively play with him, because he then would be just a normal Sim with black skin.... Maybe we should wait for a Grim-baby and see if you´ll manage to get him into your active household without him losing his uniqueness of being Grim? Or did he already lost this status because he had the need to get a new career as a firefighter?

@divadoodle I have to admit I have never added Death to my game. I do have one in my saved sims folders from someone's studio. But, I'm not fond of death no matter how attractive/unattractive he is and no, I didn't really agree about the 'handsome' swimsuit. But, if he gets her to leave Leif alone more power to him!

He is a regular normal silly sim here in the town, with nothing to do at work, so maybe that's why he decided to work at the fire station!
Yes he can father children, and has in my other saves. He does steal candy from babies as he is evil, but other than that he is a good father. He likes romance and is a hopeless romantic!! LOL

Yes I thought it was interesting too that Grimmy came to the firestation yesterday, he has not yet arrived today though, I don't know why! It's like the firestation has a revolving door for all kinds of weirdos to come work there!
No Grimmy isn't homeless, he is not the usual 'The Grim Reaper' He is 'Grimmy'! He is a normal sim I got off the exchange several years ago. He doesn't have the smoke when he walks around like the normal Grim Reaper. He lives in that small house that the Countess once shared with David, next to the graveyard. So that is even more unusual that he showed up for work!
LOL I have a fascination with the Fire Station because it is SO ODD! I think it might be glitched! And I like to see how many active firefighters can actually do the job! it's funny to me all that happens there! Also it makes it very easy to find a handsome guy that might be a good boyfriend for the girls!

Then she thinks the best course of action is to think about sandwiches and play on the water slide!
"Please don't forget to save the children!" laments Sunny
"Oh right!" says Annie the Boss, ''but first I need to hug Rico for a job well done on the fire!''
Eliza smashes the door down to save the Teen, Jasmine!
She kicks the door down! "Get out! Hurry it's not safe!" she yells
Rico is upstairs chopping the bedroom door down, to save Danny's little boy, Beau!
"Everything is going to be alright, Beau, Let me carry you to safety." says Rico
"You smell like the fishing pond, Mister" says Beau
Rico safely puts the little child down, amid the screaming Sunny, the ball playing Annie and Eliza, and the water sliding Ashley.
"Thanks Mister!" says Beau. And that makes Rico feel like a Hero!
PS: I still need all 4 to actually fight fires or do something other than playing on the water slide 😁 during these emergencies!

Death Scytheman. :P )

@DivaDoodle I enjoyed the update. I was fun seeing the fire fighters working. (and playing) lol, I seem to post comments about one update and poof here comes a second update within a few hours. I should wait a little longer but yesterday was another busy day, so didn't have time to comment later. I do hope you didn't miss them short though they were.
I hope you and hubby are recovering from the cold. The one hitting people here is leaving a lingering cough which is what I had back in May. It is still around as I've had several patients with complaints but were negative for the covid.

I wonder if there is a command in returner to stop the homeless from leaving at 2am. I might poke around in it if the Grand actually takes a good nap today. (Yes, Grand baby sitting today, Thursday and Friday.) It just seems that EA should have made them stay all the time. The potion store sim stays 24/7. The consignment sim works specific hours though. I wish I knew more about modding! I don't think my brain wants to learn anything new now!

I got Grimmy from the exchange a long time ago. I just see him as any other sim who happens to have the story-line job of escorting souls to the other side, he doesn't kill people, and also no one ever dies lol! I used to get scared out of my skull with the music of the real Grim Reaper!

No we seem to still be the same, no real improvement, it just won't leave us! Thank you for telling me about the virus with the terrible cough, that's what hubby has and I'm so afraid it will be another pneumonia, he already has some scarring on his lungs from 2 previous bouts with it. At least he does the turn, cough, deep breathe, and so far he doesn't have that odor of pneumonia nor a fever. I will tell him the coughing virus is a thing and going around, he loves to know about stuff like that. Our boys are being such kind care givers, we love to horrify them into laughter "where's the dessert, didn't you make us a cherry pie?" "I need a sponge bath!"

If you have a death then he will come but make sure the simmie has the unlucky trait so you won't have to sacrifice a sim! Also the music is terrifying so turn the sound off!
I wonder if you might be able to put him in CAS and save him to the bin, then you can make one!

I don't let my sims die either so I have no need for him in my game. I've never used the one I downloaded. All my sims get death flowers just in case, but I also would quit without saving if something untoward occurred and they didn't have one.
Well, I had not planned on having active sims in the fire fighter career so I'm not sure if there is much point in trying it now I know the others won't do anything.
I was out of work for 4 weeks with mine. The cough was just too bad to go in peoples homes and they would have been scared I had covid. It was still about 3 more weeks before it completely went away. I would chug Robitussin before going in homes. I have no history of asthma or other respiratory issues so I hope this is not the start of something new for me. Getting old is a challenge everyday! Lol at you teasing the boys!
I stepped on something last week and saw my MD yesterday and she made me get a tetanus shot since it has been years since I had one. My son is like "I want to see your foot." "You need to be wearing your shoes all the time." Nag, nag nag! He's getting bossy as well as protective.
I hope Youngman is not thinking about using that dagger on him or one of the girls!

I had given Rico the moodlet manager, the 'contraption' the first time Rico was smelling bad but then decided to see if a shower would help. I forgot all about it to try to remove the odors, until I saw it in his backpack! So that is another way to get the cure! the next is the sunlight spell from a witch. I don't know if the toad kiss ever works LOL Oh you know what I didn't try, that would probably work, is having a pregnant sim give him the Toad kiss, because pregnant sims can't be toads so it can't backfire! I didn't try that because they didn't wish for another baby.

I really like him, he is unusual and so bad to break my mod, it still isn't working right! It is suppose to be that no one can become a RI unless I say it is so, and he somehow changed that! If you ever use your Grim that you downloaded, I hope he acts like a nice boy! Mine just never did what he was supposed to, so he lost his house and is wandering around in the ether I think! Hopefully I will see him on a community lot. He never came again to the fire station like he first chose to do, so I do think that is his 'set' job. OH maybe he is a real game fire fighter that comes to your house if there is a fire, Like Church Lady was?!
Right there are 2 different fire fighter types. The usual ones that run really fast from the base game, and then the Ambitions ones who just stay at the fire station awaiting your active sim to come work there.
Thank you for telling me more about that coughing virus! Hubby was all ears and made me read it to him twice! He wants to know if yours was a productive cough or a dry cough? His is a dry cough but seems to be subsiding--well it is not constant now, so that is a good sign I think! I have him sleeping in the lazy boy so he can be more upright, and I am right next to him on the sofa, I am compelled to wake at all hours and see if he's still breathing ok at night. He caught me and went and got a cane from the garage and said to just poke him, as he doesn't want me getting up all the time! LOL

Cherish was very nice to try to wake and cure Diana! She is usually nice! It is only when she is mad, or annoyed she gets Creative with her spells! LOL
Aw I think they were cute as frogs too, but so nice looking as humans! And now they won't get that upset feeling they sometimes get because they are frogs! I want them to be happy!

You probably already know this, but a plain old Cure Elixir can cure toadiness, too (the Potent Cure elixir also works), so if you're ever faced with unwanted froggies, may I suggest a quick call to (a preferably shirtless) Alfie to remedy the situation.

haha Yes Youngman is quite intriguing, I don't know how he does it! When Victor was a fireman, Youngman would show up a few times trying and hoping I would let him stay on! LOL He tries for soo many different jobs! I think he is a co-worker of just about everyone! hahaha
I think I will probably play him in the future, to see what he's really all about! He was like this in my last save too, not breaking things but always showing up! I let him be a party boy last time
