@Ellupelluellu That's the number one complaint I have with quite a few lots, too much decoration. They're all really pretty but not always functional. I understand the thought, what's a romantic Italian ristorante without candles. I might try resizing the decorations and see if it works. The biggest issue would most likely be the three candles in bottles. That is a big item. I have some small candles I could easily replace them with and resize everything else.
It's a good thing Darian is a nice guy and very attentive to Summer and that's she's really sweet. I couldn't help laughing when I saw the smile on her face and the way she was so enthusiastically swinging those knives.

I hope Melody shows up elsewhere as well. So far she hasn't, but Ginger doesn't go out much. Maybe once she gets a canoe and can travel to the other parts of Sulani they'll meet again.
Fertilize! Ginger fertilized hers once. I wonder if that's what triggered them to go to dirt piles or die. You'd think that would help them thrive.
Oh dear, poor Rasmus! o.O Glad all he got out of the deal was a cut nose. Guessing his other buddies on the shark hunting trip didn't do as well as Rasmus. Love your little starter lot for him, that hut is adorable! Absolutely love the community lot too! I like the changes you made for yourself in this challenge. Magnum P.I.! Oh yeah, Hubby and I never missed an episode of that show either. The original, NOT the remake. Just my opinion, but Tom Selleck IS Magnum, anybody else playing him are just pathetic wannabes. My apologies if you meant the remake. No offense meant, just stating my opinion. Anyway, makes sense he'd be somewhere around the islands. Too bad we don't have helicopters our Sims can fly. Be fun to have TC and Rick. Be cool to have Higgins and the Lads too!
Ah, okay, great job with him! I gave my Simeon and L. Faba makeovers too. Actually Morgyn got a bit of a makeover as well, but not as much as the other two.

Danielle and Londyn are back from their honeymoon. The next episode of Under The Tartosan Sun will all the juicy details. I have all the pictures I need, all that's left is to get everything put together. The next episode should be ready in the next couple of days.
Anyway, our favorite couple arrived home from their honeymoon just in time. Londyn is making her big screen debut in 'Dead Sea Adventures'! She was feeling a bit nervous since she had been busy getting busy with Danielle and not rehearsing. Londyn understands the pressure and the butterflies that come with a gig, and she knows how to deal with them...

Well, it's been an age since I have posted here. Still lurking, but playing has been super sporadic over the last couple months. Finally had some time to catch up with some of my Sim friends.
Alia is in her second year of University. She is a loner, jealous, lives an active and outdoorsy lifestyle, grew up on Sulani, in love with her highschool sweetheart and dreams of starting a family with him. Since University is kind of stressful, Alia decided to go for a run in the woods and had... an encounter... what was that??
So, the transformation was epic and it happened so fast I didn't get a picture. Alia was back at her dorm, it was the middle of the night and she woke up, got out of bed and started howling. Her roommate jumped a mile out of her bed, screamed in terror and ran from the room as Alia transformed and went on her first rampage around the dark and stormy Foxbury campus.
And then, the temperament she got is "Wolf Brain," so that if she tries to do her homework or write a paper she gets angrier and angrier. I could not be more delighted with this. This is my first time playing around with the wolf pack (shows how long I have been busy) and I am not disappointed. The challenge of trying to get this Sim through university for the next 3 years of her life is going to be awesome. She also hasn't yet told her boyfriend about her new.... issue.
And, back to some others I have brought up here before:
Valentine's (the blonde one) younger sister Alexis (red hair) has aged up and is still smitten with Valentine's best friend Noel. I am really looking forward to finding out whether there's any love triangle that ensues in their teen years. TBD but it's shaping up beautifully. So far, Valentine already struggles with how much her younger sister follows them around and joins in their play.
My username has been my internet handle for over 20 years since I was 16 and refers to when I had a crush on a very tall boy. I intend absolutely no violence toward beautiful giraffes.

Yes, they did and since they've made a mess of Hawaii 5-0, I refused to even watch the so-called remake of Magnum PI Without Tom Selleck, the show would be nothing. Oh, and they also decided to remake McGiver, too. (I was never fond of the original show.) that's all Hollyweird has today. No original ideas at all, so they go after the Classics thinking they can somehow top what was. Epic fails for a majority of them.

This is the time-monger, in my mind. I need to find a better way to mark the Template of the save I need in place should I have to (let's pray not) restart my Cantrell game save. It can take hours for me to put in place the venues required for a budding Rock Star. We won't even talk about getting the Sim families in place, which can also eat precious game-playing time. OOFFDDAA.
I'm sitting her with my kids in their first Term in Uni. Do I rebuild the Flanagan, (hopefully reducing the size just a wee bit) now, or wait until they've finished said first Term of three? For those who may not recall the Flanagan is the first house I shared (and only because I had to alter the floorplan to make it Sim-friendly) that I took from a build magazine. That's where Erik and his nearly grown family were when that save bit the dust.
@GalacticGal and @Ellupelluellu that’s usually what stops me from updating with a new story. Building venues is very time consuming! I’m actually still building venues, but I create the venues as I need to so I can play more often.

@GalacticGal The last couple of updates, I got a lot to work with, but Jade and Juniper have been working on the Outdoor Retreat Aspiration, and getting past the first milestone wasn’t the most interesting stuff to share.
Jade caught some fish and is harvesting unidentified plants.
Juniper fished for a bit with his older twin brothers.
I made my merfolk wear their human attire because there are more humans showing up around granite falls. It’s kinda odd. At first, there was like no one around, maybe because of the weather. Now, the humans are starting to show up more often.
Oh, and I am trying to catch up on Erik’s story.
I just get the song “Kiss the Girl” stuck in my head when I see Erik and Keighleigh… I know I spelt her name wrong… anyways, they know they like each other… Someone needs to make the first move.
@Metior_Ice No worries about the misspelling. I find myself habitually trying to add an e where it doesn't belong. You really do need to catch up, though.

LOL no, they talked… became friends… My sim has played only one game, a single game of Ping pong but was with Geeta Rasoya and destroyed her 3-1 lol.
There a meaning behind this? And is there a ‘right’ answer? I went with “be nice” but I pondered about choosing “explain why”. Be nice got a good response but wonder still…
Idk it’s a different kind of sim phone call then I’ve gotten before so…
Only gotten the ‘crush’ phone call twice. Once in this and once in my Dexter save— that idk where I want to go with it at the moment. But this challenge the goal is obvious— got to get the money to fully complete the home for at least one child before my sim couple are too old to get said child at least to teen. (Cause using Cake would be making my simming life too easy lol; cause Toddlers in sims are evil Incarnate…lol)
Really glad that Geeta was attracted to and called my sim— such a pretty sim (as young) to look at lol— not that she isn’t old, but starts old, so I specify ‘young’ lol 😂
Since the Story behind Bob and Eliza is that they are unhappy I split their house up, moved Bob to the Islands and gave him a fiancé: “It’s Amber” Stein from the catalog lol… But when my sim talked to Amber about expanding the family, she said
“As wonderful as that sounds, I’m not in a position where I feel comfortable doing that at the moment” lol… But a second reason for spitting Bob & Eliza is once in the past he HAD a child, a girl and upon Teen years I saw the ‘head’ shape/ type and was a ok one for a male but made that female sim look like— well, ugly would have been a serious understatement, so it’s for the best IF Amber doesn’t mother his child but— lol I am tempting the hand of fate here 😝
As for Eliza; I had months back made my own Doctor Mike sim, and made him her fiancé (as Bob IS still her husband so.. Yeah, plus rather let the sims on their own marry or not)
I was just in my backup save getting a few more shots for the next episode of Under The Tartosan Sun and I got a bit of a shock. I saw there was a ghost at the Onsen with Danielle and Londyn. At first all I could see was the back of her head, but the hairstyle was instantly recognizable. There's only one head that hairstyle is seen on, a famous head. An infamous head. Well okay, all of her is infamous...
OMG! Judith Ward is dead!😲 The Queen Of Mean is now cow plant droppings!🤯
I got another surprise, she had gotten married and moved to Britechester. She was Judith Miura when she died. But the surprises weren't over yet. Oh no, more was yet to come. When I went to her household to try and figure how she died, I found out she had apparently adopted a toddler name Kylie Ward. She also had an infant daughter with her husband Minoru named Demi Miura.
The final surprise was seeing her husband. I couldn't believe it, I had seen him before...
And by a little detective work looking at current moodlets and such, I'm pretty sure she was already dead, very recently dead, when I got that shot. When I jumped in to see how she died, he had a fine moodlet, and the toddler still had the very sad moodlet from losing a parent with 2 days left. By the time I snapped the picture he only had a tense moodlet because of their daughter's crying.
I'm a bit shocked at this turn of events. I can't remember the last time I had a save where Judith died. I don't think it's ever happened in my game.
@luciusstorm This game is full of surprises. When I took that shot and posted it on here a few days ago, I thought he was just some random townie. I had no idea who he was. He was just shirtless green beard dude.😆
@GalacticGal I feel for Erik, but his parents’ are absolutely right. It’s better to not rush into something like marriage, especially a big one.
I think I’m just starting to realize this, probably because of the flashback posts, but I see that you restarted your story.
I mean. I actually feel really bad for everyone that lost saves to the High School Years update, especially since my main save survived despite a very real fear that I would have to reset my save too.

Moving forward with my story update, I’m debating about what to do next. You see, one of the really cool things that come with the Outdoor Retreat pack is the ability to meet the needs of sims anywhere.
Yes, Calum, Dylan, Zeph, Cecelia, Sefina, Jade, Juniper, and Kendra are lodging in a Cabin, but if I have a tent, I could just camp in some random place in the national park. The question is: Where am I going to get the tent? I was so underprepared for this vacation! Anyways, I also figured out how to send my merfolk out on hikes.
While the 3rd day was slow, it did help me figure out a few things.
My other dilemma is Jade… Her growing power as a Vampire is going to make certain things more challenging. Her inability to go out during the day is going to make things interesting.
I plan on making Jade very thin skinned and give her the day phobia weakness. Jade will be extremely vulnerable during the day, but extremely powerful at night.
In contrast, Juniper, as a merman, will be stronger during the day and better equipped to help his twin sister if she gets caught in the sun. Juniper will have control over the weather and will get some skill buffs when the sun rises. Ideally, Juniper should be able to thrive during the day.
So far, Juniper’s control over the weather and the Death Flowers he can grow are going to be life savers, possibly literal life savers.
From what I discovered, the “Call Rainstorm” ability merfolk have can save vampires by providing cloud cover. During a rainstorm, vampires are protected from the sun and can be active during the day. The Rain from the weather also helps merfolk recover their hydration!
