becoming more like a real person with an unique personality and then sending them out to die on a battle scene or put them in situation that would be torterous for them. Imagen if you in Sims create an evil and mean Sim and let shim lose in the world, would you really like the consequences?!
EA is looking for AI Engineer but not for the gameplay
This AI Engineer role in the Quality Engineering organization works with Quality Assurance and Game Development teams to create tools and technical strategies. The goal is to improve automation infrastructure and increasing efficiencies in the Game Development and QA processes.

That makes sense. I doubt they will put AI tools in the actual game like InZOI and the generative texture AI tool. But if they can use AI to increase output and productivity, that would be good.
i think its a great idea it would also make the sims5 a bit more modern and most games are like this these days but i will say this only time will say since as game development advance things might change
If you went the sims5 to remain offline feel free to sign this petition http://chng.it/gtfHPhHK please note that it is also to keep the gallery
It would be an interesting concept i suppose, but lots of things could go a bit odd, probably would take a long time to develop such features for the sims. If done correctly it could definitally enhance the "real life" element of simulating these sims lives. Will be interesting to see if this goes anywhere.
It's both a short- and long-term plan, in other words. On the one hand, Wilson is talking about using AI to do all the same things that everyone is talking about using AI to do: cutting down development time, automating arduous creative work, and otherwise attempting to cram the genie of decade-long dev times back into its bottle.
Sims' autonomy is also called AI, since well before the latest generation of AI was developed.
It is a more general term
True, although the autonomy system is not what we, today. would call "AI." The autonomy system essentially just works by having different objects or interactions "advertise" different attractiveness weights that the Sims then choose to use based on those weights.
Not an encouraging, though needed and insightful, video. Looks like we are headed for a colossal train wreck unless EA gets its act together. Not keen on AI. If we think we have bugs now, just wait until a bugged AI system starts messing with game code.
Sid Meiers already had Sims talking to one another in Sim Golf. They were complaining or complimenting to one another all the way around about the golf courses you created!

I feel like AI would be great for bug control. I've read that it can learn languages and then write meaningful presentations, letters, on any given topic. I imagine it could possibly learn programming language and then act as a bug checker. Or maybe write code and real people would check it afterwards.
I personally think Ai is fine as long as EA doesn't 100% rely on it, it can be used as a tool to help develop games, that means less burdens on the devs = less slavery = less burnouts also speeds up progress as well. ALSO Ai is evolving enough (probably already has) to be able to fix bugs in games... ALSO this type of ai could make NPC's MUCH MORE SMARTER! = Story progression would be on STEROIDS if this AI was to be applied for the NPC's...
If you are interested in challenges; check out the Reincarnation challenge right at this link! here!| If you want spectator mode; go to this link. (for sims 3) here
I know the CEO has stars in his eyes over the thought of speeding up game development and reducing its cost, but I am more interested in what it can do for making NPCs more lifelike, surprising, and less repetitive.
There seems to be excessive delay between the questions/introductions and responses, as though the AI needed extra time to 'realize' it was being engaged.
