  • The only weird thing I'm noticing is that the Grim Reaper came to collect some chicken souls and now he won't leave. The game is also super laggy. Also, I'm having a hard time harvesting collectibles in Bramblewood. It's like they aren't repopulating after a sim leaves.
  • I had double checked the game was updated...it was, and I did try repairing it through origin, but it's still happening. But, I didn't try removing the local thumbnail cache....so I'll try that, too, and see if it works. EDIT: Nope, that didn't work. I even created a new household to see if affects new ones. Not only did…
  • I'm having the same problem. He's promoted to GP and has been at the level for some time (because I can't seem to find 3 patients that need surgery!), but he's still in scrubs.
  • I like this one, http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=553961 but I'm afraid to download it because some have reported problems with being able to use certain things. I so badly want to alter the hospital and police station lots because I just don't care for EA's layouts, but I don't want to bork the game.
  • No, it's not you, MakoSims. You won't get proper quotes until you post a certain number of times.
  • I'm happy we have pools now. It does not matter nor does it upset me that it didn't come with a bazillion features that many are complaining about. We didn't have fancy features for the base game pools in either TS1, TS2, or TS3, so the fact that many expected that and didn't get it and now are upset is confusing. The base…
  • I've patched and I'm not having that minimizing problem. I can still use the Windows key. But, my pool water looks like a square in the ground filled with clear gelatin. Turning down the lighting to low makes it look flat and unmoving and turning lighting to very high makes it look like a gelatinous mess. No laptoping…
  • I'm having that wierd stretchy thing happen, too. As soon as a sim gets in, it looks like a graphical glitch, even though I'm pretty sure that's what its supposed to look like. I don't play on a laptop. I have an Alienware gaming desktop and my pool water still looks like they are swimming through gelatin. I can see the…
  • I've been having to go into edit mode when they age up to children to fix it. Sometimes I have to go back in when they age up to teens to fix it.
  • I'm in the same boat. Too busy to play right now, but I have found when I do get a free hour here or there, I haven't fired up the game because I just don't want to deal with the issue.
  • Ah yes...thank you all so much! I appreciate all the advice!
  • I love all the little nuggets I'm discovering as I play! This game is way more in-depth than I orginally thought. I had a sim rummage through a trash pile to collect parts, but forgot to have him throw the trash away. Lo and behold, a plant started to grow from the trash heap!! My sweet, little gardening sim I created…
  • I never really played TS3 except for the first month it was released as a base game. So, the real question for me is: have I gone back to playing Sims 2. The answer is no. I'm honestly afraid that I like TS4 more.
  • Okay, I'll bite. For me, it's TS2. It was such a leap from Sims 1. But after TS2, I'd say TS4. Then TS1....and at the bottom of my list is TS3. Open world was a cool concept, but not implemented so well, but overall, I could not spend time playing a game that lagged so badly and where the sims were not aesthetically…
  • I am very much enjoying TS4. I still have yet to play with everything the game has to offer and that is enjoyable, because by this time with TS2 base game, I felt like I had seen and done everything, but still really loved playing the game. This base game has so much to offer and so much for sims to do both socially and…
  • I have one mod = to 681 bytes. It's just a blur in the distance removal mod. So far, I don't feel like CC is really necessary. There's a nice variety already in the game.
  • Bless you, good sir!
  • I feel dumb for asking, but how do you know if your game is patched? The only patches I've ever used are the ones you had to DL and apply yourself for TS2.
  • Thanks, I'm hoping it's not that, too! Ain't nobody got time for 'dat! :)
  • Tense. So many things going on in the next few weeks, so little time to prepare, plus...I think I tore my meniscus. *sigh*
  • My college roommate had The Sims and Houseparty. I watched her play it and then she left for Germany for a month and I spent that entire month playing her Sims 1 game. After I graduated and we parted ways, she gave me both her Sims and Houseparty games and told me to enjoy them since she never played that much. I was…
  • I got it by having my sim "practice writing" until he became tense, so I let his needs tank, basically. I then had him take a bath and read a book and he got past it and I got past the level. Good luck!
  • Could part of that be processor, too, though? Fast processor + good graphics card = best performance on ultra settings? Just a query.
  • You're not the only one it happened to. I tried deleting my cache files and it crashed my game. I ended up having to restore factory settings and dropping in my saved game files. I didn't lose anything, thankfully, because I make frequent back-ups.
  • O.M.G....what is this fertile trait you speak of?! Perhaps this is the reason Christa Shultz is giving The Duggars a run for their money?!
  • Yes, this is happening to me. I keep having multiples and have yet to have a single birth. It was cool at first, now it's annoying.
  • I've noticed spikes in my load times as of yesterday. I'm only about 15 hours into one saved game, too. My load times went from 10 seconds at launch to clocking in at 67 seconds sometimes. I have yet to pull my tray from the demo into my actual game and I have not downloaded anything from the gallery yet. The only "CC" I'm…
  • That's what I had to do, too. Just make sure you go into manage worlds, turn the cheat on, and then edit the household you are playing. My test sim fell in love with Christa Shultz of Oasis Springs, and she hated children. I wanted to fix that so I could test out babies, children, teens, and what not with the test sim and…
  • I guess that is in the eye of the beholder. I don't like the Sims 3 grass pic you posted, either! It looks grainy and blurry to me, too. Yes, the Sims 4 grass is "flat" (as some have pointed out), but it isn't distracting to me like the picture above. I didn't realize the Sims 3 grass looked that bad, tbh. I concur,…
