If cottage living really was hinting at cars I really don't like that they hint features years before they actually release it. Kind of seems they do it just to string the community along to give them incentive to stick around until the feature arrives.
I'm guessing we will get active tooth development, dental health and decay. I imagine infants will grow in their first baby teeth, kids will lose their baby teeth and grow their adult teeth, some sims may need braces, and in the later stages of life elders may need to get dentures to replace any teeth they have lost. I…
2022 wasn't the strongest year for bug fixes, so no I wouldn't say "it's safe" considering your current gameplay. Sadly I don't think the game will ever return to a state that's "safe" to play, no matter how many or how little packs you own. The bugs continue to grow with every patch and pack release, while very little…
These are exactly my thoughts, it's so strange to see the sims community instinctively settling and expecting less. Regardless, my main point that I was trying to make with this thread is the developers can make a fairly substantial base game, with things like seasons and pets, and STILL make dlc that's themed around…
The food lifestyles make no sense, my sim with the health food nut lifestyle (which I cheated on to her) is always getting negative moodlettes from foods that you would expect to be healthy. She got some "processed food" uncomfortable moodlette after eating a fish grand meal, even though I have the simple living lot…
So far so good! I'm still waiting for a couple more filtering features to easily see and organize my mods separate from lots, households and the like. I'm also waiting for some of my staple mods and creators to make it on the platform, once that happens updating and managing my mods will be so effortless and definitely…
Get Together, Cats and Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Eco Lifestyle, Cottage Living and Parenthood all have had a major influence in my game. They all expand my game in very meaningful ways.
Ok I guess that makes sense, a little annoying that you can't bundle High School Years yet. I'll keep waiting though I don't mind. Taking a second look the EA Apps store things seem fine, I guess I was in a weird part of the store or something. Thanks for everyone's help!
I just get an error when clicking on the link. I find the store in the new EA App to be a complete mess, there's no dedicated Sims category at all where you can filter all the different pack types.
I would personally recommend Cottage Living myself. I think the pack adds a lot of very well rounded content; the new world has a lot to offer with all the NPC's, town errands and events, all the different animals offer a ton of gameplay, I'm a big fan of the Simple Living Lot Challenge, and the CAS and BB is very nice as…
This is a game changer. Sims 4 joining this platform is what I consider a true expansion, expanding the limits and potential of the game, the content creators, and the community at large. I honestly never thought this day would come, I have been dreaming something like this would come to the Sims 4, who would've thought…
Definitely looking forward to the official mod/cc support, more details on that next generation sims title, as well as updated babies. The sims team are definitely taking ques from the Paralives development, so thank you Paralives for inspiring the sims team to be more transparent with the development of the next sims…
I noticed this too, it's probably just editing magic though. However, if they did by any chance add open neighborhoods I would be thrilled beyond measure.
https://twitter.com/TheSims/status/1570064830815420420 Thoughts on this change? For all players who already own the base game we're getting the new Desert Luxe Kit for free. My personal thoughts is I'm not at all surprised, I actually predicted this would happen in this thread here:…
So English Simmer just posted on their YouTube community page an issue she encountered with the new scenarios. Basically if you start a new scenario it will automatically load into the save that's set up on the 'Resume' tab of the game, so if you wanted a different save to play the scenario in you'll have to first make…
2017 and 2018 was the peak for me. Toddlers, Parenthood, Cats and Dogs, Seasons and Get Famous were all pretty great. Sad to say they haven't matched those years since. This year could have been the best if My Wedding Stories, High School Years and the Wants and Fears update weren't so botched.
The team doesn't deserve anymore patience, the team quite literally released MWS and HSY knowing just how broken they were, when certain issues are universally experienced (on console as well where no mods or CC exists) the team 100% encountered those same issues but decided to release the broken content anyways. So if the…
I really don't like this pattern of a new feature being added into the game only for previously released packs to not be updated to use it. Sentiments, likes and dislikes, neighbourhood stories and now wants and fears are all features with missing compatibility with a variety of the packs. Although I like the systems they…
I genuinely wonder how many kits will be available by the end of the Sims 4. I haven't purchased any myself, I am tempted to buy some of them, but I am holding off for them to go on sale, if they ever do go on sale.
I really enjoy packs that deepen existing mechanics, and complicate my sims lives and routines. Get Together for example deepens and complicates my sims social lives with new social activities, and the club system that has had a real meaningful impact on how my sims pursue and manage relationships.
With mods installed I noticed that accidental deaths are much more frequent, particularly the emotional deaths. I often have to actively manage my sims emotions in some situations so that they don't end up dying on me. But in general with the pack collection I have and the various hazards they introduce my sims are often…
